Long Chen was lost in his thoughts as he remembered of the treatment he'd suffered in his past life, and of his family that have been wiped out when he was young. He was captured and became a slave, learned weapon refining with an old slave blacksmith, and was traded to an assassin organization where he learned all kind of assassination skills. When he became emperor, he couldn't breakthrough anymore, so he indulged himself in medicine and alchemy and attained the highest rank in it.
Even though he had lived almost a thousand years, even though he possessed great intelligence – when he thought of his dear family wiped out and his painstaking years of struggle to become stronger, hot tears still spilled out of his eyes.
Long Chen became very upset as his thoughts traveled to the end of this path where he was backstabbed.
However, as if the heavenly thunder crashed into his body when his soul touched upon his body's meridians. His state was not different than that of a dying man.
After assimilating this body's owner memories, Long Chen discovered that he died 15 years ago at the same moment this boy was born. On another though, this year, that would make one thousand years the past him was born. Those clues may be related to the reasons of his reincarnation.
He also discovered that this young boy was poisoned with the same soul poison used by Hongtian to weaken him. Normally, a cultivator can only have one space for companion beast and the companion beast egg must be hatched before the age of 12 but this body has two space slots; one for the original companion beast of this body and the other where he found the half dead egg.
« It seems the abyssal dragon soul crossed with me in this body and occupied this half dead egg. But it is not possible to hatch this egg! » sighted Long Chen in disappointment.
He then quickly collected his thoughts. There was another problem in this body. Yun Chen originally possessed the "Sun fire spirit root", a 5 stars spirit root which was striped and transferred to his eldest cousin who possess the "Moon water spirit root". He then became a rare dual spirit root owner.
All in all, this body has been completely trashed and unable to cultivate anymore.

In his past life, Long Chen was a peak divine realm cultivator. He lacked a suitable body cultivation method.
