Writing this novel has been challenging in terms of gaining inspiration during its early stages. Many changes occurred while I began writing A Cell Made of Glass. I caught COVID pretty soon after publishing the second chapter and could not process my thoughts enough to write for many weeks after. In addition, I moved a couple of hundred miles away from home for school. I hope these notes can help fill in the blanks where I have left things out.

The Kingdom of Kairos -
Kairos has a naming system and architecture similar to medieval Scotland and Ireland. In this universe, it is quite a large kingdom and is very well known. Names are generally a mixture of English, Scottish, Irish, and German.

The current royal family is quite large. Between the former Emperor and Empress, they had ten children, four of which are married, and four grandchildren. The children are as follows in order of when they were born:

The Palaces -
There are seven palaces in total. Cairbre, Carlyn, Aithne, Catriona, and Niall have taken up residence in five of these. The two remaining ones do not have a designated occupant at the moment.
Cairbre's palace is located in the heart of Kairos. As the assigned guardian of his younger siblings, Muireall, Ria, Sio, and Ciaran live with him as well. This is also the location of official events and where diplomats and representatives from other countries are received.
Aithne's palace is the furthest away from the rest of the kingdom and is fairly close to the Hiemal border.
