"I'll leave him. I won't say yes." Amanda says. Mayah stops texting and pauses. She slowly turns and looks at Amanda. "Who?" She asks. "I know you are mad at me because of Ashton. He asked me to be his girlfriend but I won't do anything that will hurt you. You are way more important than any cousin crush." Amanda says. And Mayah drops her phone.

Amanda does not know what is going on in Mayah's mind. And she chooses to stay calm. Mayah starts crying. It comes to Amanda as a surprise. She does not know what she said wrong. And she goes over to Mayah's bed. "I'm sorry if I said anything wrong. I don't want to hurt you." Amanda says as she sits next to Mayah. "You did not say anything bad. You just said the best thing to me. You are my best cousin from now on." Mayah says. And she hugs Amanda. "You are my best cousin too. Though I have not met any of my other cousins." Amanda says and they both laugh, with tears still in Mayah's eyes.

"And keep the boy. I'm pretty sure there are more cousin crushes out there for me. Is that even a thing? Cousin crush?" Mayah asks. "Just came up. It will be our thing. Cousin crush." Amanda says. And Rose bursts into their room. "You girls holding a party in here? What are all those noises?" Rose asks. "It's not a party mom. Just discovered that we are the best cousins ever." Mayah says. And they are both holding hands smiling. "Okay best cousins... I came to tell you supper is ready. You can hug it out while eating." Rose says. "Okay best mom." Mayah says.
