Chapter 1 - The Beginning

I was just a normal girl with a normal life, but everything changed overnight. It all started on the first day of highschool I was only fourteen. I really just wanted a normal happy life, but the entire universe was against. During the first lesson of the day I was called to the principal's office and told that my dad had died. It was the most devastating day of my life.

I walked home in tears and that was my first and last time in highschool. My dad was a carpenter and the breadwinner of our family and my mum was the laziest human being on Earth. After my dad's funeral I had to take on many part time jobs to help keep my family in order. I had four little siblings who were quadruplets and they were only a few months old.

And my mum became really ill after my dad's death. And she had to stay home and take care of my siblings even though she was sick. I felt so bad for my family. So my awful life started my where I did ten jobs per week. I would walk my neighbours dogs in the morning, hand out flyers for a restaurant in the afternoon, babysit my neighbours children in the evening and at night I would wash dishes at a restaurant.

I did that every single day until I turned sixteen. The restaurant I washed dishes at gave me a job as a waitress as well. I was so happy when I had finally saved enough money for my mum's medicine and I could finally afford to take my little siblings to kindergarten. I wasn't planning on letting my siblings suffer and not get a proper education like me.

After two years I was still a waitress, but I had another part time job. In my other part time job I would date anyone who needed a girlfriend to take to a party to show off to an ex or anything Iike that. I had rules though I would nothing else but pretend to be dating them, I would absolutely nothing else. One day a rich looking man was at the restaurant. He was starting at me up and down.

After a few minutes I walked up to his table. "May I help you with anything, sir? I asked. "My boss needs someone to pretend to be his fiancée tomorrow," he said. Before I could even reply he said, "Meet me at the park tomorrow evening at exactly 7p.m." Then he got up and left. I thought he was rude but I needed the money.

The next day I showed up at the park at seven o'clock like he had said. Then I saw the most handsome human being ever. I mean the men I had gone out with before weren't bad looking but he was so perfect looking but did I care about that? No I didn't. There were lots of other people too, stylists, makeup artist and so on.

"How can I help you?" I said. He ignored me and then I thought he was the most annoying human being on earth. I wanted to leave as soon as possible but I didn't because I needed the money.

"Fix her," he said in the coldest tone ever then he walked away. was dragged away to a van. I just rolled my eyes as they applied a million layers of makeup on me and then put me in the most uncomfortable dress ever. Once they were done I stepped out of the van and we took a limo to the biggest house have even seen.

I saw a helicopter in the distance. "Are we flying to your destination?" I asked but that jerk ignored me. We got into his helicopter and it was so freaking luxurious. We were on it for about an hour then we got off at a really fancy hotel. "Why are we here? What's the plan?" I asked. Then for the first time he spoke to me and his voice was so cold. "Just shut up," he said.

I was starting to lose my patience with that human being. We entered and sat at an extremely fancy table. A girl walked up to us and his expression changed completely. "Henry," she said. I realized I didn't even know that guy's freaking name. "Long time no see," he said. Then she seemed to realize that I was there. "Who is she?" she asked. "She's my fiancée, Crystal," he said. How did he know why name?

"Hello, nice to meet you," I said then stood up and extended my hand for her to shake it and she did then she came closer and intentionally stepped on my foot so hard. I didn't give her any reaction. When she also sat down at the table. I 'accidentally' split a whole glass of red wine on her white dress. "Oh my goodness, I am so sorry," I lied. I knew she was about to stand up so I grabbed onto her dress so tightly it ripped. She screamed at the realization. And I had to try so hard not to laugh out loud.
