School friends reported that they had overheard something about a tree house.
Simons father perked up "Did you say a tree house?"
"Oh thank God"his mother gasped " he's just camping right? "
The police officers rushed to get the items they needed, and said "take us to it"
The parents rushed to there cars trying to avoid thinking about the worst case scenario.
Police sirens blaring , cars honking, everything came together in a mix of adrenaline and dismay. Little did they know how deep this rabbit hole really went.
"Wait chief isn't this old tribal land?" one of the native officers said.
as a matter of fact.
The cops and parents sped torwds the destination with lightning speed.
As they arrived it started to rain.
There where no lights on in the tree house it sat in the dark eerie forest like a ghost town in the middle of the desert. The red and blue lights from the cop cars bouncing off the trees.
Simons father got to the tree house first and rushed up the ladder, not thinking he swung the door open lightning striking the very next moment.
Empty not even a note.
Bryce popped his head out of the window and shouted saying" There not here!"
One of the police officers shouted "Get the Dogs!"
10 mins of eerie silence came after,
not one person spoke silently crying into the pouring rain.
The rain stopped just as the dogs arrived, each family allowing the dog to sniff there clothes,
one after the other they started walking through the forest shouting the childrens names.
(15 mins later )
One of the dogs started barking not wanting to move forward the police office took his batton out and slowly parted the tall grass in front of him Pitch black Darkness expanded before him.
The police officer shined his flashlight down into the hole instantly seeing a puddle of dried blood staining the stone floor.
"GUYS!" the policeman shouted
The grouped rushed to him all looking down into the pit, worried that they might see the children.
The police officer climbed down dropping the flashlight to the bottom.
He reached the bottom picking up the flashlight and started looking around.
The horn, the alter, the relics,
everything was in its place awaiting its next victim.
