Prime Minister Office.
4:16 PM.
"Liam, what do you have?" Martin asked.
"Okay, I've deployed four spies to Dark Laboratories," Liam answered.
"Good. Have they found anything?"
"Not yet sir."
"What's your plan?"
"Okay, so one of the spies will make friends with one of the high-ranking scientists and acquire enough trust to invite them to their house. Once that is done, the scientist would be brought for," he hesitated, "you know," while Martin gave him a sly grin.
"Plan B?" He rose an eyebrow.
"Trust me. There is always a Plan B, you should know me by now, Mr. Martin. A spy would take the place of a high-ranking scientist, and if possible, get access to high-ranking information that would contain the antidote."
"Hmm. Liam never fails."
"Sir, I don't disappoint," He smiled lightly.
. . .
Erik's house.
7:19 PM.
"Hey, how's it going?" Erik said over the phone.
"It's good," answered the person on the other side.
"Keep an eye on the police."
"They found out?"
"Yeah, one of my staff."
"Okay."
"There might be some spies, so any strange movement, interrogation."
"Understood."
"To purge the world of it's sins."
"To purge the world of it's sins," the man repeated.
Matt, who was right outside had heard everything.
"It can't be. Erik's my best man. He can't do this. Why would he? Probably a misunderstanding. It is. It is." Matt thought.
. . .
Lucas' Office.
9:23 PM.
'Knock-knock.'
"Sasha, I told you, no more meetings." Lucas said, thinking it was his receptionist.
"Sasha?" He called, walking towards the door.
"Open the door. It's important. Very," said the person outside the door.
As Lucas opened the door, he saw an unknown face.
"Who are you?" He said, as he tried to remember.
"You don't know me?" Matt said.
"Oh, Mark, you're Mark."
"No I'm not."
"Then who are you?"
"Matt."
"Matt? I don't know anyone named Matt."
"I'm always with Erik."
"Oh you. I remember. So what?"
"I overheard a phone call."
Lucas raised an eyebrow.
"Erik's phone call." Matt answered his unasked question.
"So?"
Matt told Lucas everything.
"You've got to be joking."
"I kid you not."
"I'll tell Liam about this. Who knew it would be Erik? Of all people."
"We still need thorough investigation."
"Yeah."
'Erik, whom we thought was our hero, was the perpetrator all along? Is this false? Is it true?'
