Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5

TRAINING START

Land of the rivers, Katabami gold mine village.

Later in the afternoon, at the Curry of Life Shop. The three of us including me, Sansho, the old woman who owns the shop and her son, Karashi were sitting around the table after there were no more customers left.

The two looked at me and I smiled back at them.

"So, as for your salary, you will receive 1000 ryo a month including free lunch and dinner. What do you say?" Sansho said with a smile.

"I accept!" I beamed at her. The offer was really too good to be true. The cost of ramen in Konoha costs around 70 to 120 ryo, that's already very expensive. Moreover Konoha is a big shinobi village and it is the most powerful shinobi village in the entire elemental nations. Naruto's allowance was around 2,000 to 5,000 every month when he was little. Things are sold higher in larger cities than remote villages like Katabami gold mine village. The more prosperous an area is, the more expensive the things they sold there.

In the land of Rivers 1,000 a month is already a large sum especially in a far and remote village. With the free meals included, I could save up 500 to 700 ryo's for my training. The left over money can be used in the house for repairs and other things that I need for daily use.

I chatted with the two for an hour. When I arrive at my house, it was dusk. I have already eaten at the Curry of life shop so I am quite full and still energetic.

I sat for a moment to think on how do I start my training, since my body is currently so weak that I can't even finish the sprint for a one hundred meter distance and I am already gasping for air. So I decided to do yoga instead.

I first started stretching my joints so I would not get injured easily. Then I went to the yoga exercises.

I started doing the palm tree pose by standing straight and arms extended, with my palms facing outward while fingers are touching the opposite, then I raised both my hands upwards at the same time and back down again. Repeating the same action for five minutes, I was already soaked with my sweat because my muscles were always in contraction.

I continued with forward bend, touching my toes with my fingers for another five minutes. Then the next was downward facing dog with knee drives left, repeating the same action for the right for both five minutes. The warrior 1 left pose, with left knee bent forward both arms extended above, with my back straight and right leg extended to the back.

Then warrior 2 left pose, with left knee bent forward, and right leg extended to the back, with left arm extended forward at shoulder level while the right arm was extended backward, repeating it for five minutes.

Then I did the revolved side angle left with left knee bent forward, and right leg extended to the back, with hips leaning forward and the chest facing to the side and arms in a praying position, holding it for another five minutes.

The next pose is called the cobra pose where you lie down in a prone position and then hyperextending the back with both arms as a support and down again, repeating for another five minutes.

Then I repeated the downward facing dog pose with knee drives to the opposite of the previous one. Then warrior 1 right, warrior 2 right, revolved side angle right all for five minutes each.

Then I did the garland pose which is squatting with both knees facing to the sides and both arms in a praying position holding this position for five minutes.

Then the butterfly pose, with knees flexed in a sitting position and both soles of my feet touching each other. Then I leaned my torso forward touching the ground, then with my arms extended and raised parallel to the ground. Doing it for also another five minutes. And for the last exercise I just lay on the ground in a supine position for a few minutes.

"Wow, it's like I ran for a few laps with this sweat. I feel quite good after this exercise except for the sticky feeling which makes me uncomfortable." I took a quick bath after the exercise and then I changed into my cleaner clothes. Then I started to meditate in my room for a few hours. I tried to sense the chackra but I did not feel anything.

"There's no rush, I can do it!" I tried to motivate myself but the effect didn't really change my mood. Raiga is coming soon and I need strength to protect myself.
