Wildan paced back and forth in his study. He looked agitated as he occasionally glanced at the watch on his right wrist. His face was riled up, like a lot of burden on the mind.
A knock was heard behind the door of Wildan's study. He glanced at the wall clock in the corner of the room. The clock hands indicate ten o'clock over five minutes.
"Come in," he said, staring at the door.
The door's open. Arya appears from behind the door and Wildan greets her excitedly.
"Is there any news?"
Arya waved her shoulders with pouting lips. "No news from him, Ma."
"Shit!" umat Wildan while punching his left palm using his right fist. "What time is it. Does he want to mess with me?"
There was a sigh behind Wildan's back. Arya apparently. He also looked sad and desperate.
"I told you, right? Too risky for this game. They are too confident and trust them."
"But, that is the reality. They are worthy of trust. Do I have to ignore it?"
"In fact this is so. After all, Ms. Galuh didn't give me her cell phone number, so I couldn't reach her."
"What should I do now?"Wildan turned around, and now faced Arya. "Do I have to give up, and let Henggar take over the company?"
Arya shook her head, disapproving of Wildan's words. "No, Ma. You know yourself, right. They have cunning goals."
"Hence that. But ... the situation is even this."Wildan walked to his seat, then threw his back on the back of the chair. His eyes were far away.
"Are we just looking for someone else to pay for?"
"Is it still possible? Won't you grow suspicious?"
The atmosphere was quiet for a while, when Wildan and Arya were busy with their respective thoughts. The situation is not friendly for now.
While they were thinking, the phone rang. Arya immediately walked closer to the telephone on Wildan's desk.
"Yes, fine. Thank you." Arya seemed nervous when she answered the phone, making Wildan very curious.
"Who?"
"There was a call from home. They called the office because the phone wasn't picked up."
Reflexively Wildan grabbed the phone from inside his suit pocket. Sure enough, there was a call from aunt Mona's number, her own father's number, and a few other numbers.
"Yes. What's up? I deliberately did not answer. Dad must have called for me to go home and come back to be interrogated for his questions and wishes, the same."
"It's not for that, Mom. Mr. Chakra collapsed. Now in the hospital."
"What?" Without hearing an answer from Arya, Wildan immediately got up from his seat and walked towards the door. "We have to get there soon."
***
Cakrabuana was in one of the VIP rooms at a private hospital that happened to be close to his residence. When Wildan and Arya entered the entrance to the VIP room, Mona's face - Wildan and Wistara's stepmother-looked sad with reddened eyes. Wildan glanced at it with the corner of his eye.
"Wildan ... Where Have you been? Your father's been looking since yesterday."
"I'm busy, aunt."
"You should be able to make time for your father. You know yourself, right, that your father's illness can't be considered a joke?"
Wildan did not answer or refute the words of his stepmother. He only focused on observing the condition of his father who was lying weak on the bed.
"Wistara yesterday also looking for you, Wildan. He waited until midnight, but you didn't come home."Mona gave an explanation, but being ignored, she then clenched her lips, tightly.
Wildan took the phone out of his suit pocket, then dialed someone's number. "Wistara, where are you?"
"I'm here, Mom." Wistara's bass voice sounded from the direction of Wildan's back. "Has it been a long time?" Wistara coded with the corner of his eye that the call from Wildan was terminated.
"Just now. I didn't know you collapsed."
"For end-stage cancer patients who have a weak immune system like father is very vulnerable to collapse, Mas. And that made it even harder because dad wasn't willing to do chemotherapy."
Wistara, a tall man, is more or less the same as Wildan. The difference is, Wistara has a much thinner body. He wears glasses that frame his face.
"Then, what should we do to dad now? Aren't you a doctor?"
"I am a Doctor, Mom. But as for dad's business, I really put my hands up."Wistara raised his hand. "You know it yourself, right. Instead of this hospital, wouldn't it be better if you were treated at the hospital where I work?"
Wildan nodded to understand the situation. Their fathers were stubborn. They had trouble persuading their father to take care of them.
"Hello, Aunty." Wistara greeted Mona better than Wildan.
"Hello too, Wistara. What do we do with your father? Aunt couldn't persuade him."
Wildan and Wistara looked at each other, then Wistara gave an answer to Mona's question. "Auntie, since this is father's wish, we cannot refuse or force him. We should try to keep it slow."
"Wildan ...." The sound of moaning from Cakrabuana sounded softly, but it was clearly heard in Wildan's ears which happened to be adjacent to where his father was lying.
"Dad? It's me, Wildan. There's Wistara here too."Wildan immediately reacted quickly to his father's call. "What does dad want? What hurts?"
The sound of one-on-one breathing is heard from the breathing apparatus used by Cakrabuana. He opened his eyes and stared at Wildan, long enough.
"Dad ... it's me, Wildan."
Cakrabuana winked, got it. He even threw a faint smile. "Dad will wait ...."
Only a short sentence that hangs that is spoken by Cakrabuana. However, Wildan understood what the only old man meant. It's also a burden for him. He doesn't know how to behave.
"You may not live long, Willy." The speech was broken more like a whisper, but it sounded clear.
"Dad don't say that, we haven't tried the maximum treatment, dad." Wistara who also heard the sentence also gave an opinion.
"Be patient, yes." Cakrabuana did not react, just staring weakly at Wildan. The heavier the burden that must be borne Wildan at this time. He glanced at his watch again. The clock was already twelve noon. He sighed, heavy. There was a clear disappointment in his eyeballs.
Wistara who was five years old under Wildan could see the disappointment in Wildan's eyes. It was like he was about to say something, but undone it. He knew that his only brother was not the kind of person who liked to ask blunt questions.
Wildan pulled out his cell phone, seen a call from Arya. His eyes lit up, then beckoned his father to take the call first. He walked away from where his father was lying. In the corner of the room, sat Mona with her gaze fixed on her.
Feeling uncomfortable receiving Arya's call in the room, Wildan chose to leave the room.
"What is it, Arya?"
"The shortfall of ten million for the Baron I have sent to his personal account. Because a while ago he called me that everything was fine, there were no complaints."
"Good then. And then?"
"And then?"
"What about Galuh?"
"He's not really interested, Ma."Arya answered weakly. "She's not the kind of mercenary girl I thought she was."
I was disappointed with Arya's response. He's also getting nervous, what should he do now. When he turned around, Mona was already at the door, who was looking at him with a probing look. You have to accept Mona's offer.
With the corner of his eye, Wildan looked at Mona who was also watching him. He couldn't get rid of the deep hatred he had for her.
"Aunt ... give me Celine's number."
