It was the annual day of exchanging letters at Washington University. It was a habit which they kept since the school was set up. It was made to bring up everyone together. It was the day where many students exchanged their views about others or some of them may express their feelings towards others.
Kiara and Killian,two senior students in the University,had to exchange their letters too.
This year,the annual day was schedule on the graduation day. Both Kiara and Killian were deeply in love and would be inseparable at school. They even got the school's best couple award for prom. What is sad is that Kiara and her parents need to move to United Kingdom as her parents had to shift their business their due to certain problems with their clients. Fortunately, Kiara got the chance to graduate as her date of departure was after her graduation. When the graduation was over, all the students including Killian and Kiara exchanged their letters. They both exchanged their letters and went separate ways. But just before going, Killian told her that he was sorry. He left her with confusion clear on her face.
FLASHBACK:
It was two weeks before the graduation and the annual day of exchanging letters. Kiara was writing her letter addressed to Killian. In the letter, she reminded him of her departure and mentioned that they could continue their relationship as a long distanced one,by facetiming each other everyday and that it was not goodbye. Meanwhile, Killian was writing his too. In the letter,he confessed about his disloyalty. He cheated on her with her bestfriend,Eve. At least he was kind enough to tell her before it was too late. He told her that it will be the better to end the relationship here. He was literally breaking up with her after every moments they shared together,but it was for the best. He apologised to her,but will he be forgiven?
END OF FLASHBACK:
Arriving at home, she read her letter and froze to the spot. She was emotionless,neither did she cry nor did she move. She did not expect that. Some minutes later,she felt a pang in her heart. She then ran to her room and went on her balcony,she often goes there when she felt sad or lonely.She then fell to the floor and started crying. She felt half dead,heartbroken and angry. What they had for three years was just a game for Killian. She wanted to call him to hear from him that it was just a nightmare but decided against it as she knows well it's reality.
So,she stopped crying as she realised that her tears and time was not worth him. She stood up and went to pack her luggage as she felt more excited to go to UK. At this moment she knew that a new life with new memories and new friends is awaiting her. Two days passed and her departure day arrived. Her and her parents boarded on their respective private jet to go to London. Kiara never felt this happy in her life. She felt free. "It's good not to be committed to someone" she wondered. And that's how Kiara's new adventure began. But little dud she know that love would hit her again,but would it be a betrayal again?
