Finally, the day of camping at school playground had came. The last few days went very slowly I think. I felt like it was the longest week throughout my life. In that week , Everyday morning I jumped out of the bed and ran to the calendar and counted the remaining days to camping. In this Final Day since the dawn , I packed my bagpack with my camera , notepad , pencil case , water bottle , emergency lamp & some snacks to chew. We have to spend a night without sleeping . So my choice for snacks is sour candies. The sour flavour will keep me awakes.
In the dusk my mom prepared some tuna sandwiches and put it in my bagpack. She gave two extra sandwiches boxes for my two best friends Joe and Leo. I went to the school playground with my mom and I saw the school premises filled with parents and kids. Mom gave me a lot of instructions for my safety. When our Geography teacher announced children to make groups with three members and choose a tent as we desire , parents left the school yard . Pupils got hurry to gather with their friends. Without any hesitation I, Joe & Leo went straight to the teacher and told that we would like to stay in the tent which located near the stream. We always love to hear the whispers of the water when it splish splash at rocks. So teacher gave us three tags which have the same number of the tent we choose . After that, we got into the tent and arranged it with keeping our stuff.
There is more than hour for moon to rise. So we began to talk about our pets, last summer vacation, etc... After sometimes we feel hungry and start to eat the sandwiches. Leo and Joe thanked my mom for that.While eating the food I turn on my torch and begin to watch the stream , its bank and its sorroundings . Oh my goodness ! I see something bright and shiny . I can't believe my eyes cause there's a round shaped blue colour crystal under the stream. With my torch light it starts to shine bright like a star . I step into the stream with Leo and Joe . Leo says " The colour of the crystal is very unique. it's neither sky blue nor peacock blue . It's pleasent to the eyes and also shimmering like Venus. Then Joe says " why don't we pick it up ?" Then I pick that sparkling shimmering round shaped blue colour crystal. I feel something strange when I touch it . I think it's because of the cold of the water.
Suddenly we heard someone is calling our names. I say " Oh no Mrs.Petunia ! We should get into our tent quickly " But we were too late . Teacher have caught us. She asks " why did you step into that stream in this night I have advised you to stay in your tent until I announce the rise of the purple moon." Then Leo Mumbles " Sorry teacher ! we just wanted to have a stroll but we found a blue colour..." As soon as possible I nudge Leo and give him a signal to not to say anything about the crystal. Mrs. Petunia says " What ? what did you find ? " Leo says " It's a blue colour Salamander . " Mrs. Petunia says " Huh ! Blue colour Salamander. I've never seen it before but you came here for neither watching salamanders nor for strolls on the bank . Did you get it ? Keep that in your mind " . She looks very wicked now, but we all know she cares about her students' saftey first. That's why she got angry. We three say at the same time " We're sorry teacher. We won't step outside from the tent here after." Mrs. Petunia pats our head kindly and says " Good boys ! Now it's the dinner time. We were frightened when you three didn't come to the dinner.Specially Joe. I know you always put food first place.Then we searched everywhere. Well ! Now it's over. Take your dinner now. After that we can wait to watch the purple moon . The moon will be at his peak around 11 O' clock.
After that scary moment we walk to the bench with our dinner. Joe's plate is filled with spaghetti. I just start to eat my cheese burger. Suddenly Leo and Joe look at me and laugh . I ask " why are you guys laughing at me ?" Joe says " Oh poor Hans ! I think your sister have painted your nails while you were sleeping" Then Leo adds " By the way Hans, it looks beautiful on you" Both of them laugh until their tummy hurts . Again Leo says " Your sister have chosen a very special shining nail polish. It shows so many colours in one second. Isn't it amazing " Their hillarious conversation make me doubted. So I just take a glance at my nails. Oh my goodness! Unbelievable! My nails are shining Blue, Pink, Green, Purple, Orange, Silver and many more in colours. The nail art is so mysterious. My sister can't paint that type of complicated eye catching art. I'm pretty sure with that .She can't. So who painted these nail arts . May be Leo and Joe have done this cause I think they wanted to make fun by teasing me. What an annoying bestie ! Not only one but also two of them.
Instantaneously Joe screams and Leo has just drop his doughnut. I'm so confused. The doughnut was being rolled and stopped near my feet. I look at my best friends. Still they look at me strangely. Oh gosh ! Is there a bear behind me. Or maybe a wolf or maybe a monster. I can't realise what's going on here . After a creepy silence , Joe pointed his shaking hand at my eyes and says " Hans , Do you wearing contact lenses ? Your eyes are shining just like your nails. " I'm slightly frightened right now. I run to the stream and watch my reflection through the water . Both of them are right. My Iris are shining. I kneel to the ground and start to cry. My weeping mind is echoing "what should I do now ?"
My brave two best friends come closer to me little by little and pat my head. They ask me " Do you feel any pain ? " I inhale a deep breath and say "Nope" Joe says "It's okay not to be okay.What should we do now ? " Leo tells "We should bring him to the tent.If someone sees him it'll be a huge trouble. We have to find the reason for this unknown etiology." Then they cover me up with a blanket and bring me to the tent. luckily no one sees me but still my nails and iris are shining. Joe and Leo are also confused and Don't know what to do .
The time pass by . We heard that Mrs.Petunia is calling students to come out of the tent because the purple moon has rised. After hearing it, every inch of me starts to tremble. " How can I go outside and face the people with my mysterious shining nails and iris. Joe and Leo think deeply for sometime. They found a great way to escape from this spine chilling situation. They tell me "Stay inside of the tent until the camp is over. We will tell Mrs.Petunia , you've suffering from a terrible stomachache " Everything went perfectly. All the studdnts gather in the middle of the playground. Most of them are watching the purple moon with the naked eye .Some are waiting for their turn to watch it from the telescope.
Immediately Mrs.Petunia and a man with a briefcase step towards to my tent. I got afraid when I saw those shadows reaching me. Probably she had called a doctor after knowing about my fake stomachache by my friends. Joe and Leo also have seen this and they run towards the tent. Mrs.Petunia pats my head and asked " How do you feel now Hans ?" Is it still painful? " I cover myself with the blanket thoroughly and reply " a little bit" Then the doctor asks me to remove the blanket for a while because he wanted to diagnose my illness. But I reject it. Then Leo came to help me. He says " Doctor, I think he have been eaten peanuts through the chocolate bars. He is slightly allergic to peanuts." Mrs. Petunia says " Oh my goodness! Thank you Leo for telling us that . Doctor what should we do now ? Should we take him to the hospital? " Doctor says " No.No.Don't be panick Mrs.Petunia. There is no need to take him to the hospital. I have medicine for this allergy." Doctor opens his medicine case and takes out a little bottle and says "He'll be fine after drinking this syrup " I drink a measuring spoon of syrup which doctor have given. I thanked Mrs.Petunia and the doctor then they leave the tent. Actually I didn't swallow it. I threw it and wash my mouth with fresh water. I inhale a deep breath and relax myself. Leo and Joe also sigh after the teacher and the doctor left our tent.
Leo starts to speak " Hans, you should put back that crystal into the stream . I'm afraid that it causes all of these scary incidents. May be that crystal is a cursed one. We don't know about this bizarre crystal " Leo picks up the crystal and puts it back to the stream. We thought that this will be over in next few minutes but it's not. Still my nails and iris are shining. I just look at the purple moon cause I came here to watch the purple moon but I couldn't make it because of that previous creepy incidents. Absolutely it is so beautiful . I have been enchanted to its beauty. There's a fading pretty purple colour on it. Its rays touch the ground and give its magical sensation to the whole environment. but the surrounding is gloomy and frowzy. A cool misty wind embrace us and blow away slowly. It depicts that something strange will be happen.
