Liam stepped out of his car, the cool morning air hitting his face. Charles rushed over, looking both relieved and worried.
"Glad you made it," Charles said, shaking Liam's hand firmly.
"You sounded serious on the phone. How bad is it?" Liam asked as Charles led him to the grim scene ahead.
"This is what we found when we got here this morning," Charles said quietly as they reached the spot where the bodies lay, cold and lifeless. "Whoever did this knows our operations. It's like they've done it before."
Liam sighed, slipping his hands into his pockets as he looked around. Something about this scene felt eerily familiar.
"Why does this attack feel so familiar?" Liam asked, his eyes narrowing. "Don't you remember who used to kill like this and still make off with the goods?"
Charles's eyes widened as the thought hit him, but he quickly shook his head, refusing to believe it. "It's impossibleāKevin can't be alive. We saw him burn."
