A/N = Author's Note
Since the dawn of earth, humans have always been on top, always finding ways to take out the competition. The dragons were near extinction and in fear fled into the 'Underworld'. These dragons evolved and grew stronger for thousands of years, however, not all dragons went to the Underworld. Dragons were split into 3 factions, 'The Ocean Dragons', 'The Holy Dragons', and 'The Underworld Dragons'.
The Ocean Dragons took many forms, such as 'Leviathans' and 'Sea Serpents', however, the Underworld Dragons evolved into 'Demons' and 'Devils'. Finally, there was a secret group of dragons unknown to the world for most of the time, known as 'The Holy Dragons' who were graced by the gods and allowed through the gates of heaven. Many Holy Dragons eventually evolved into 'Saints' and 'Angels', but many kept their original form.
'Demons' and 'Devils' that escaped from the Underworld were unable to survive and became 'Zombies', 'Skeletons', and all other kinds of undead monsters, but were eventually locked away at the bottom of the ocean using 'The 4 Holy Artifacts'.
The 1st Holy Artifact, 'The Eye Of Odin'.
The 2nd, 'Armor Of Thor'.
The 3rd, 'Mjölnir'.
And the 4th, 'The Seed Of Yggdrasil'
The result of using all 4 'Holy Artifacts' caused an anomaly...the creation of 'The 4 Cursed Artifacts'
The 1st, 'Magni's Boots'
The 2nd, 'The Armor Of Váli'
The 3rd 'Gauntlet Of Týr'
And the 4th, 'The Blade Of Hel'
These 4 'Cursed Artifacts' were banished by the 'Angels' and 'Saints' to the deepest parts of the Underworld, where not even the strongest of the 'Demons' and 'Devils' could reach. Humans would eventually decline in power however the 'Angels' and 'Saints' always managed to protect them.
Thousands of years passed, and the Underworld Dragons were finally able to breach into the overworld and waged war against the Holy Dragons. The battle raged on for hundreds of years, the Holy Dragons were on the back foot until the Ocean Dragons joined the Holy Dragons and re-sealed the Underworld Dragons.
The Holy Dragons forever left the overworld, but the damage had been done. The energy from the battle had created semi-holy energy, which was contained in a single area but eventually one of the Ocean Dragons sealed it into a large mountain in the 'Yuren Empire'.
The Maho Empire was fighting a losing battle, the war would go down in history as the 'Blood Wars'. The 'Yuren Empire' was fighting to take there land back and was successful, the Maho Empire was on its last legs, they were forced to retreat into the mountain and discovered the energy, which was deemed 'Maho'.
The war did a 180 and the Maho Empire was sweeping through the Yuren Empire, and a year later the Maho Empire had won, claiming the spot of 'The Strongest Nation'. There wasn't much conflict for the next 826 years until September 6th, 2026, the seal was broken once again and Yggdrasil was released. It released...a type of cursed energy...Ethereal.
Ethereal began to spread through the world, and due to the fact it differed from Maho, restriction cuffs became ineffective. Once the seal was broken, Zombies, Skeleton, Demons, Devils, and Underworld Dragons all escaped from the Underworld.
*Boat In The Ocean*
Tozuki: Alright, let's circle around to the Atlantia District.
Kanjiro: Gotcha, by the way, you seem a bit different, are you ok?
Tozuki: Yeah, I'm fine, what do you mean?
Kanjiro: Nevermind, let's just go.
*Docks Of The Atlantia District*
Tozuki: It's very quiet...a bit too quiet...
Kanjiro: It's usually pretty desolate here now that those monsters appeared. Only hunters come here nowadays.
Tozuki: I understand that but, not a single person in sight? Not even in any nearby buildings, a bit strange don't you think?
Kanjiro: Whatever, you owe me 50$ just pay me before Thursday.
Kanjiro walked off toward the *Kaido District*, Tozuki ran through the Atlantia District, looking through every street and alleyway, not finding a single person. Tozuki was going to run off to Kanjiro but was beaten to the ground, Tozuki held his arms up into a blocking position but was still being pummeled. Tozuki saw what was attacking him, it was a red creature with pointy wings, it had a long red tail, and sharp teeth.
Tozuki quickly used Fury 30: Spirit Phase and managed to barely escape the barrage of attacks in time, Tozuki grunted heavily and began to run away as fast as possible, the red creature in close pursuit. Tozuki ran through many districts, constantly being chased by the red creature, but now that he looks at it, it looks like a devil.
He quickly snapped back to reality but was stunned when he came across the *Kaido district*. Everything was in ruins, there were monsters everywhere and dead corpses littered the whole district. Tozuki quickly turned around to face the Devil, he had to go all out and finish things quickly to find out what happened.
Tozuki bent his knees and leaned forward, holding his arms palm upward, ready to take a hit. The Devil threw a punch right at Tozuki's forehead, but right as the slightest bit of its hand touched Tozuki, something incredible happened.
Tozuki: Counter
The Devil was blasted away, sent flying into the air. Tozuki was enraged, the entire district had been massacred! A Purple Goo surrounded Tozuki's whole body, he flew up to the devil and they began to clash.
They matched each other blow for blow until the devil began to gain the upper hand, Tozuki began to lose ground until he finally snapped. Surpassing all his limits.
Tozuki: Ultra Kinetic
Tozuki was surrounded by a silver aura, his eye color changed from a bright yellow to a shiny silver.
Tozuki: This is to go further beyond...
Tozuki was slightly able to control his body now, he rushed at the devil and delivered on clean strike to the chest, killing the devil immediately. Tozuki's Maho flickered on and off until the Purple Goo disappeared and he fell to the ground, weakened.
