Meanwhile Alex ran away, leaving everyone behind.
While running, he stumbled upon someone.
" Hey! Look where you are going! " Yelled a girl as Alex collided with her, making her fall down along himself.
Alex looked front as he was on his butt and saw the girl who yelled at him. She was a beautiful girl with rosy lips and blue eyes.Her looks were mesmerizing,having fair skin as she looked like she was in her 20s' (but what to say she's just a side character.)
Alex knew she belonged to third team.
While Alex was trying to get up by himself, other team members from third team arrived.
Second teammate from third team gave her a hand to get up.
The girl stood up and asked him, why he was in a hurry.
"M-my team died ! Run fast! A big snake has already killed both teams! "Alex almost died of heart attack. His words were coming out heavy, he was scared his shit out. Also he didnt hesitate to lie.
Looking at him the girl asked, " Where are others? "
Alex' eyes widened and fearfully he answered, " T-they died. They were eaten by a big snake. "
" Snake? "
" Yes! A big snake, it was so big that it can easily swallow 3 bulls. "
Hearing Alex' remarks some were shocked and some didnt believe in his words.
But going on better option they decided to trust his words.
" We shall save them! " Someone said.
" No no its risky and they are already dead there's no use of going back. "
Someone from group replied to this talk, " We should atleast check if its true! "
After hearing this Alex shuddered visibly, " I barely survived from it! I ran to call for backup but before I could take my run towards other team... " He stopped for 2 seconds and looked down in fear, " They all died. I tried helping them but my attacks didnt even scratch the snake. "
What was his problem? Was he scared, if they goes to check and found them alive? No. Was he being cautious? Thinking they died and here was chance to make them think, ' If Alex would not have come to alarm them, they would have died worst death?' Maybe.
A man from the team came forward and asked looking at his team, " What should we do now? "
"Are you sure, it was a big snake? " Leader of third group enquired.
"Yes."Alex nodded.
"We shall go back and call Darren's team for backup. " Leader of third team looked towards his teammates.
"Alright! "
" Lets hurry up! "
Darren and his group was exploring otherside of the dungeon.
They were searching for something that can lead them to next part of the dungeon. Thinking of possibilities they found out a cave.
"Everyone run!!! " A person from the group shouted as he saw many red glowing eyes in darkness.
Upon hearing this man's loud voice everyone along with the red eyed things were alerted.
The red glow in the dark cave increased as many creatures opened their closed eyes.
Looking at the scene in front of them everyone in the team felt shiver down their spines.
*SCREEEEEECH-*
A familiar screeching sound echoed throughout the insides of the dungeon making everyone frighten.
Many people from the team ran out of the cave while Darren ran before them. The one's weak fell,due to limited light.
They tried calling for help but no one looked back.Therefore, they had to save themselves on their own. Many picked themselves up and took a run out of the cave, while last person couldn't make it out as the screeching goblins caught up to him,killing him and making him their food.
"Arghhhhhhh! " The dying man screamed but no one heard it as they were far away from the dungeon, busy running away.
The man felt heavy, a feeling of betrayal arose inside him, making him unstable due to rage... His life flashed before his eyes as his flesh was teared, his blood poured out in streams, losing his consciousness, he died painfully.
" Is everyone fine? " Asked Darren who was first to run.
" Yes, i think everyone's fine. " Replied someone from team.
" Good! " Darren smiled lightly and made a face which said well done.
"Darren." Someone called out. He came running, huffing and breathing heavily.
He was a boy in his 20s', maybe he was 25 years old. He had messy hairs with grownup beard and mustaches with curling style.His eyes were brown with brown skin.
As the person called Darren,he looked at him.
" Darren! He-Herman is dead! " He said with teary eyes as he remembered how his friend died.
" What? Didn't we ran away before monsters came? " Asked someone.
"He stumbled on a rock. "
" Didnt you help him? "
Now,he followed silence. He couldn't say that, he just watched him die and he ran away before his and monsters eyes met.
" I wanted to but couldn't help him. Monsters already caught up so I had to run. "
Others understood the circumstances and decided to move further mourning their comrades death. But they were just about to leave when they heard someone's call.
A/N: hello readers, I am currently working on my second novel and that's why I have very unstable updates on this novel. But dont worry, this novel will not be dropped or on hiatus.
I will make sure to bring atleast 3-4 chapters per week.
As popularity of this novel isn't increasing I'm not having much hopes for this novel. That's why I am starting a new novel soon, while continuing this novel.
