Chapter 1 - Anger Management

" F××k !" Ian cussed loudly, slamming both hands on the steering wheel of the black vehicle he was currently in. It's been two long frustrating goddamned hours in this messed-up traffic jam and all he could do was to steam up. Aside from the cancellation of a meeting, the traffic jam earned him the crazy sounds of car horns and yells from drivers, an aching head and bleeding ears plus a rapidly palpitating heart.

After an effortless search for peace, he closed his eyes and leaned on the headrest while listening to a weird relaxing song - recommended by his therapist. In a few seconds, the lyrics and rhythm of the song could only piss off its listener who sat upright to turn it off but the sound of something colliding with his vehicle interrupted the activity.

He took several deep breaths and slowly opened up the car and went outside to examine the cause of the strange sound only to see a lad about his age, grinning broadly even though the scratch his motorcycle made on the clean black car was very visible.

" Umm... sorry bro, it isn't a big deal, just a spray or two and you're good to go, "

Ian's grey eyes did a visual scan of the man standing right in front of him the scan results proved he was a college student or maybe a freshman.

The only reason that this 'punk' was blabbering instead of apologizing was that they were about the same age but a smile was the response Ian's face gave in admiration of the guts he possessed.

He was more amazed when the 'fool' walked up to him and tapped his coat with a smile. What the hell was he thinking? He probably had confidence because a huge number of people from the high social class were nice to college students moreover this guy was about the same age as him.

" Cool coat bro, black suits y-" before he could finish his compliment, Ian turned his arm around and the boy groaned loudly the second the sound of a cracked bone emanated from the twist.

" Let go of me!" he yelled and Ian obeyed with ease but his obedience was accompanied by a punch which resulted in bleeding, the boy fell to the floor.

His eyes could literally see horses and stars around his head, this wasn't what he expected, on normal occasions people like Ian simply smiled and went back to their car but who or to make things clear ...what was he? Gradually, the vision of the man's victim was blurry so he fell to the floor in pain and clutched his bleeding nose.

A few people ran outside their vehicles - those where the group of people who didn't understand the amount of fire they were about to play with. All eyes were on the almost unconscious boy and the person who inflicted the pain on him.

Ian turned to leave but halted the moment a middle-aged lady stepped out boldly and smacked him on his back, he turned around and absent-mindedly returned her slap on her cheek with extra force, the lady fell to the ground immediately and was automatically in a vegetative state. Ian regretted his actions.... a little but it wasn't his fault that she couldn't mind her business.

"Freeze!" an officer yelled from the crowd whilst squeezing his way through. Ian didn't object, he brought out his hands and accepted the handcuffs with a smile as followed the officer to his vehicle. The truck which caused the jam was towed out and the victims were taken to his hospital.

" As usual, I'm speechless... what was it the last time again? oh... you threw Ciara Johnson in a pool and today, you almost murdered two individuals, you should have been charged a few months ago for vandalizing government property and abusing that boy today, he's kinda like a minor, " an officer - supposedly the chief explained, turning his swivel chair.

The man who lay on the couch in the office seemed to be less interested because his eyes were closed.

" Minor?... pttf... that buffoon destroyed my car, we're about the same age which means that I'm kinda like a minor too. As for that b××ch, it's her fault for sticking her head into issues that have nothing to do with her, Ciara jumped into the pool herself, obviously, "

" You should have been taken to court, your wealth seems to be your spine and your condition -"

" What condition? "

" Anger management," he answered and Ian shifted a little.

" Your therapist said so the last time, I called your mom she'll pick you up at the entrance of the station. "

The news made Ian sit upright immediately, his mom couldn't find out - it meant two things, he was going to get another therapist or he was going for another vacation all because she was obsessed with searching for awkward answers which made him pissed.

" Please do-"

" She's here!"

" Ugh!"

He went out with his head down - to avoid looking at the face of the brown-haired woman -his mom, who looked damn serious and heartbroken.

The police chief took his cuffs off and he followed her quietly, they got into the backseat of a black car and Ian kept looking outside to avoid her gaze. The driver started the car and they drove out of the station.

" Aren't you tired?"

" Huh?"

" Ian, ever since you graduated from college and got that worthless award for being the youngest graduate ever, I thought the future would be filled with bright and sunny days but maybe I was wrong and the devil put those goddamned mental pictures in my head, "

" I'm sorry, " he mumbled under his breath.

Apologizing was the only way to get her to shut up for good but today she seemed to have practiced her heartwarming speech, so he placed his head on the headrest and closed his eyes but sprang up when she smacked his lap.

His mom was the only person who didn't fall victim to his madness and was the only one who knew how to manage it.... sometimes, other days he slapped her and apologized for being a disgusting jerk.

Beatrice, his mom retired from her company a few years ago when Ian was fifteen, he graduated from college a year before so handing over the company - MOVE corporation wasn't such a bad idea.

When Ian was sixteen his anger issues skyrocketed to another level and he single-handedly bought the company because his mom scolded him for oversleeping on a really important day.

His parents filed for a divorce when Ian was eight because his pathetic father wanted to take what he didn't work a day for.

Sadly, he got remarried and was presently living in a city, close to theirs. Beatrice didn't care, she raised her son alongside her ever-supportive sister and father. The car pulled in front of Ian's elegant chateau and Ian turned to look at Bea.

" So what? Are you gonna fire, Tania? Or take me to one of those lunatics called psychics? Mom, I'm twenty-two I can take care of myself!"

" Well, I doubt that I'm not firing Tania and you aren't going on another vacation, I'm done with searching for solutions that don't exist, good night! "

Ian got out of the car and watched as it left at least that was good news, she'll no longer haunt him with those worthless tarot card readings and psychologist meetings. But, he felt bad that she was still annoyed, he walked into the building after the gates were opened.

It was already nine o'clock so he guessed that all members of the domestic staff were asleep.

He walked slowly to inhale the fresh scent of the flowers which were used to decorate the pathway to the door and stood there for a couple of minutes with his hand on the knob, the door was opened afterward but shock struck him like lighting when he spotted a crying human in his house.

" Tania?" he called and she raised her head to reveal her bloodshot eyes. Ian was perplexed, why was his therapist crying in his house?
