Somewhere in the cave, deep in the forest, Musk and Xiaohe were hiding.
"Young master! What did you do to anger those people that they surrounded us like that? If it finds out that we are hiding in this place, it will not leave at all." Xiaohe was still panting, remembering how dangerous it was just now.
Even so, hiding in this cave was not a smart move in the long term, but Musk was not bothered by that.
He had not forgotten the dark aura after he crushed that woman; it wasn't something he had come in contact with before.
"What you are focusing on is wrong! Me offending anyone is not important at a point like this. Have you forgotten that those things that attacked us didn't seem human at all?" He replied with a solemn expression.
It was indeed the most important thing that she should have noticed during this period, but it seemed like she had not realized this.
"How were those not humans?" She didn't see this at all.
"Sigh! Forget it! Let's shift places. I think we can head towards that massive golden pagoda." Even this far, he could see the pagoda.
With such a large object, he didn't believe it would be difficult to locate other people as long as they approached it.
Even though Xiaohe wasn't driven to practice martial arts, her talent was not bad. With the danger from their previous encounter, she started taking her practice seriously.
Situ was pleased with this; after all, the desire to improve was far more important than anything else. Even resources could be easily obtained as long as one had the will to improve themselves.
The encounter just now was enough to remind Situ that this was not some civilized society from his past life; rather, it was a dangerous place that might endanger his life with any little carelessness.
The stone steles no longer had any benefits to the two of them at this point. Situ, who was stuck at the peak of the eighth level of body refinement, was also thinking about ways to break through faster.
When the two where resting, Situ also closed his eyes to rest and meditate. The breathing method started to operate, and his body kept vibrating from time to time. With diligence practice, he even forgot the passage of time.
With each breathing cycle, the blood as well as bones and muscles become stronger. But at an unknown amount of time, he suddenly felt a cold drop falling on his face.
"Huh! Is it a drizle?" this was the first thought.
When he opened his eyes, and looked around, he didn't see any signs of rain. He then touched his head and could feel a sticky sensation.
"Wrong! All wrong! This is not rain. How could a drizle be sticky." He was alarmed, as fear instantly overwhelmed him.
He acted reflexevly as he stood up and his feet that had been rooted on the ground kicked forcefully, making his limbs move. He was already seventy meters away, before he remembered about Xiaohe.
Swoosh!
His figure turned into an after image and appeared right before her, dragging her along, but the distance he could cover was reduced by more than a third.
Swoosh!
Swoosh!
He didn't move in a straight line but kept shifting and this proved very right, as he could see a massive snake looking in their direction with cold eyes.
The most important aspect was that the saliva dropping from its mouth was clearly what had made him think of a drizzle.
"Damn! I almost got myself killed." It was indeed very foolish of him to lose his vigilance in a new environment even if he was practicing.
What even made him more unacceptable was that this massive snake was able to approach them without even him sensing anything. He was lost in his practice, but Xiaohe was even worse off. She clearly didn't realize anything, and even when Situ escaped, she didn't react in the slightest.
He was already able to see that they were just too inexperienced. If things continued this way, they might as well just commit suicide right her and end it.
Being too careless like this was always able to bring about some uncertainties that he didn't want to face.
The snake eyes kept looking at him with a strange look like an intelligent creature. He could see some kind of ridicule in the massive snake eyes. For such a thing, he was also unaware, but he didn't dare approach.
The reason was simple, he had baggage with him, and if he got involved in a fight he might might end up endangering her life.
When he was thinking about how to deal with this snake, but realized it didn't show any sign of coming after them.
"Huh! Something is not right! When that snake looked at me, I could see greed in those eyes. Then according to common sense, it should have already attacked me, but it has not." When he thought of this, he looked over again.
But his sense of crisis went on again, and just as he was about to retreat, was struck by a strong force together with Xiaohe his figure was thrown into the distance.
Boom!
Bang!
The moment he was struck into the distance, he was barely able to see the source of the attack.
"There are two snakes! There are actually two snakes! No wonder it was difficult to fight back!" As he complained, his figure had already been thrown into the distance, hitting some trees.
Xiaohe was somewhat lucky as she collapsed into the grass, but even so, she was injured seriously.
His figure stood up, but at the corner of his mouth, blood could be seen. He was staring ahead with a sharp gaze. He had suffered a a serious injury from this attack. The moment he was standing in place, his eyes revieled some anger.
It was as though he was about to erupt any moment from now. The moment he felt the attack coming his way again, he gritt his teeth and performed the Deer movement complimented by the Bear movement, and along with his anger struck out angrily.
The moment he unleashed this attack, a strange roar erupted in his body and followed along his fist towards the shadow closing in on him.
Roar!
The roar of an angry animal was heard and what followed next was a strong force surging inside of Situ's body.
Boom!
The next moment, blood was flowing, and Situ was still standing in the same place. The only thing that could be seen was a massive white snake slithering in place.
When he looked closely he realized the injury wasn't that great.
He had managed to retaliate and create a small injury on the snake while getting it to become enraged.
The Qi around the snake became more and more opressive as it appeared to have been stimulated, with a brutal aura around it.
He turned to look at Xiaohe that was barely standing and wanted to curse.
"Run!"
