Chapter 11 - Rising from the dead!

Pop!

The sound of Wen Nian's head exploding was loud enough shocking Su Wei back to reality.

It made her shudder, especially when she realized the way Situ was looking at her without much emotion in those eyes.

When he took a step foward, she panicked, "No don't come here! If you dare to do anything to me my brother will not let you go!"

But her words didn't have much effect in this situation.

Roar!

The monsters in the distance were attracted by not just her sound, but Situ's actions.

When she realized the danger she was in, wanting to escape, it was too late as a strong force was locking her in place.

The figure of Situ appeared before her and she could only watch as the palm landed on her chess. It instantly curved in along with his arm, become her chess and heard collapsed.

"Your brother is not here right now though!" He looked down on the corpse before turning to look into the distance.

"Just like I sensed before, two killing intents. But it turned out there is someone else and they even escaped."

"We can't waste too much time in this place!" He felt roars coming this way, and didn't want to stay any longer.

His figure escaped fast, before climbing the tallest tree and watch everything calmly.

"I knew it. Something was indeed is wrong in this place." He looked in the direction the two were facing and seemed to understand something.

"What is in that pond that the beast was willing to fight to death for." He didn't believe that the monster would be easily killed by Wen Nian, unless something was making it unwilling to leave.

He escaped, but not all the beasts were chasing after him, and this meant he couldn't use some tricks to enter that place to find out.

"But then again, I can always think of other ways to come up with a diversion tactic." He didn't think that there wasn't something he could do a lot it.

While escaping, he was already thinking of heading back first. It was no longer possible to make a move right away.

But when he was escaping, he failed to realize that the woman he had just attacked stood up again. It was just the wound on her body was healing slowly.

Her eyes contained a hint of darkness in them, and she had a strange smile when she looked in the direction he had just escaped.

The thing that was even more terrifiying was the fact that she pulled herself close to Wen Nian's body and her arm pierced through his chess pulling out the heart.

She actually took a bite and the speed at which she was eating at the heart was getting faster. Before long the entire heart was eaten and her face was covered in blood.

Her blood red eyes, kept looking in towards the monster corpse in the distance, but for some reason, fear was clearly present in her eyes.

The greed was replaced by fear and her figure ran away, from the place. Instead of going the direction Situ had taken, she took another direction.

On the other hand, Situ was unaware that the arrogant woman, Su Wei had somehow woken up from the dead.

After running around in cycles, Situ was finally able to reach the mountain they were staying on.

When he arrived, the first thing that came into his sight was Xiaohe using the breathing rythim she had obtained from her blood Qi to strengthen her body.

"Sigh! She has almost taken an entire year to just reach the peak of second level Body refinement. The speed seems slow, but actually it isn't bad." He was indeed aware that the conversation of food into energy wasn't just his issue.

She also was being held back by this, and the only for her to speed up her practice was obtaining something with energy that could be converted faster into blood and Qi.

"Little Feng! You are back!" When Situ just arrived, she turned her head and looked over. She wasn't shocked by his blood soaked clothes, but she felt a slightly different feeling from him.

"I thought I told you to stop calling me little Feng!" Sith protested as he heard this name coming out of her mouth.

"Okay little Feng!" The moment she replied this way, he knew it was a waste of his time to try and convince her.

"I brought this back for you." Looking at dog sized rabbit, Xiaohe's eyes lit up.

"Huh! Are you leaving again?" She seemed to have grasped something from his words.

"Yeah! I want to check out something, if things go smoothly, I will not be back till tomorrow. If I fail, I'll rush back. Practice hard!" After saying thjs, he rushed out.

Actually when he came back, he thought she might have entered the third level of body refinement and it could be possible to go with her to seek that chance but it seemed he was thinking a lot.

Half an hour later, he was standing not far off from the place he had just killed the two fellows. He could see that a strange looking lion like creature was still present.

He couldn't win against it. It was his immediate judgement.

"No I can't retreat. Lets use my speed advantage and see if we can enter the pond." With this thought, he made a move.

He jumped to the left, then used the rebound force to push himself above the creature that seemed to resemble a lion.

He then landed on its back, but the thing that got it was a fist on the head. He struck it seven times and seeing that he had just angered it rather than cause substantial damage, he jumped into the pond in the back.

It was shaking vigorously and he knew that falling before it would be no different from looking for trouble so he jumped backward, resulting in him entering the pond.

When the beast managed to react, he was gone, and angry roars could be heard but it did not seem to follow him.

The roars also attracted more beasts but the one that caused all this was already underwater cursing the beast secretly.

Yes. That indeed was what Situ was doing at the moment, as he thought the pond was easy to mess with. At the moment, cold air seemed to be entering his body from all directions, and he was feeling like he would freeze to death, but at the same time, his realm was rising fast.

In just a few seconds he felt his fourth-level rank rise by a quarter and his physique also had risen but he could not float to the surface of the pond as though something was dragging him downwards.

In less than a minute his cultivation stopped at the peak of fourth level and racing toward the fifth level of body refinement.

He continued to sink and, in a minute, he had gone deeper and the water seemed to become colder and colder. At the moment, his heartbeat had also slowed down, but he could still survive.

The cold seeped into his bones, making his body shake, from the cold, and by the time he stopped, he was on the surface of the pond, an adult palm-like blue object could be seen and he was close to it.

Opening his eyes with difficulty, he could see that this was the thing that made the water in this pond very cold.

Reaching out with difficulty, he put his hand on the object managing to lift it halfway before some immense coldness seemed to enter his bones.

The coldness of this pond not only sped the body refinement, it even made his bones tougher in the process.

Since the pond was in a pitch-black cave, the moment he rose to the surface the blue object in his arm, seemed to be lighting the water.

Along the way back, he could feel that the water was indeed colder at the surface, and the higher he went it seemed slightly cool.

After reaching the surface, he pushed his head out of the water and grasped for Air, but could still see the beast standing at the edge of the pond.

"Damn! This thing doesn't even know what is in the water, and yet it is guarding like as though it is the family inheritance." As he complained he realized that the beast was also looking at him, and then at the thing in his hand.

It made the air around the pond seem to drop, and, when Situ checked himself, he was excited, and did not regret taking the risk, as he found that the cold air, was entering his body and allowing his internal organs, bones, and muscles to be strengthened.

The cold object was helping him increase the circulation of books and Qi. In the beginning it was impacting the muscles and tendons in his body.

The most important thing was that this blood and Qi was becoming stronger as time passed and he felt as though his tendons where on fire.

The process seemed to be what has been happening and some substance seems present in the object that is speeding up this process.

"At this rate, I should be able to enter the fifth level of body refinement in no time." Situ was excited as be felt the massive changes.

Blood Qi in his body increased faster than before and the speed at which his body was being strengthened too.
