Chapter 10 - Forcing my way through

When Situ opened his eyes, the breakthrough was already complete and he could feel that his body was stinking, and even his stomach was feeling slightly hot.

He had to rush out into the bushes to relieve himself, it can be said that the more powerful he become the more impurities were being pushed out of his body.

"This situation is indeed embarrassing, but it can still pass considering my age. No wonder people start cultivation at such an early age."

The body refinement stage, other than strengthening the body also involves removing impurities from the body.

It was normal and Xiaohe did not seem to mind, but she had an issue with the fact, that the guy did not think of going to wash.

So far, with the realm of martial 9 ranks, the impurities being released from the body only increase rather than decrease, this is because the body is being clensed to a high degree with every improvement in rank.

There is no such thing as the impurities lessening, as the body has impurities accumulated in different ways and even when the body starts holding energy, it will still undergo purification and expell impurities in other ways.

For him, it would be a whole embarrassing moment until he reached the limit of martial rank 9. But that was something that could only be left for when that time arrived.

He also seemed to be looking in the place the monsters were fighting before he started his breakthrough. It was overrun by monsters that seemed to be feasting on the corpse of the defeated antelope-like creature.

But that was not important, he was curious about where the man went after destroying the monster and collecting important materials from its body. Xiaohe was excited as she talked about him when he asked, but he could tell the direction he went from what she mentioned.

When he left, it was not long before a group of monsters swan in and devoured that corpse.

It was a huge war, that resulted in other monsters dying while some escaped with injury.

But he is able to see numerous beasts close to attaining level monster status swarm in and fight for that chance.

Even they had to Retreat some distance to avoid attracting the monsters towards them.

But in the end, not all monsters retreated even after consuming the antelope-like creature.

It seemed like they were almost fighting for the territory of the monster, and at the same time guarding something.

This was making Situ very uncomfortable and unwilling to ignore them.

But he could see they were stronger than any beasts he has dealt with before.

As per usual, beasts of the same level are due to stay in the same area at. This was unless they were waiting for something important and going to fight for it.

Curiosity on Situ's part also made him want to approach to understand the situation.

He assumed there might be an opportunity and he ends up losing it, due to fear of approaching.

For him or even his maid Xiaohe, it would not be too much to gain more chances on their path to becoming stronger.

Situ already understood he was not capable of going back home since the area they came from had disappeared.

He also did not mention this issue again, as he could not understand it nor could he change anything.

So he focused on gaining information by moving through the bushes to see if they could pass through the territory filled with beasts.

The fight that could take place in such a case would not be acceptable at all, as even his life might be threatened.

He already had an idea that the level of strength on his hands, and the region might not be the best to fight from. Other than that, the strength of these monsters might even reach the peak of rank 9.

With such a strong physical body he would find it hard to even leave some injury on its body.

After all, his physical body was only close to the 4th level, and since he had just broken through the improvement of the realm and transformation would require time.

Time is something that can be said to be out of his control.

Approaching the bushes they hid at the time, he could see the number of beasts had reduced but that did not make it safe to stay around here.

Looking back at Xiaohe still hiding in the tree he shook his head before taking a circle around the area the beasts were gathered.

Soon he could see a cave, which was his target.

He could be sure that without the bushes, the beasts would instantly recognize him.

Moving around in circles, he was able to see an opportunity, and back in the distance, Xiaohe was looking at all this from a tree.

"Young master you can't blame me. I told you to go take a bath but you have refused, I can't stand that smell." She murmured to herself.

Yes! What she just said.

Situ did not do anything about the impurities at all, rather he is using the foul smell to try and hide his scent from the beasts and it seemed to be working perfectly fine.

Upon entry into the cave, some sneaking tactics were. He was met by another beast sleeping near a pond.

When he stepped into the cave, he knew that he had messed up.

This was not the cave of the monster that had been killed, or even if it was, it had changed owners.

He was caught up in some dilemma and knew one thing for certain. Rushing outside would get him in even more trouble, but he could not just keep standing in the same place either.

Looking at the small pond behind the beast, and the huge eyes locking on him he becomes flustered.

Some sweat was already dropping from his forehead and the place was so silent that he heard the sound of it dropping on the ground.

He had a way but the problem was the fact that he was unaware of the consequences of such action. His left leg wanted him to retreat but the right one seemed to be facing difficulties, and with his indecisiveness brought him trouble.

The beast finally stood up, and he retreated a step, when he saw its massive body, almost covering the pitch-black space in the cave. He looked at the pool and then behind him and knew that that path was already blocked.

The pool was pitch black due to the darkness in the cave. When the beast stood up he knew it was going to make a roar and running out at that time would become a wrong step.

But in the end, he would have to take a gamble with his life on the line.

"What was I thinking just swaggering into this cave without confirmation of whether it was occupied? The moment this beast was allowed to roar, my situation had already worsened."
