[Hello Host.]

'I'm dead. I know I'm dead. So who exactly are you- to be in my afterlife.'

[Host is both correct and wrong. Host died- bringing about disaster and the end of the world. The world tree reversed time to right before your suicide. Does host understand?]

'…What? What do you mean the world was destroyed?'

[ it seems the Host's mental capacity is quite low.]

I grit my teeth in frustration 'just answer the question'

[when host committed suicide, he tramatized his sister who came to visit.]

'That doesn't tell me why the earth was destroyed'

[The Host is rather impatient. Shall I stop here then if your going to interrupt me?]

'…no. Continue.'

[good. As I was saying, your sister is supposed to build the first block towards out of planet travel- which lets a man named Adam Lurove actually create a way for out of planet travel. Without your sister creating that block- humankind doesn't make the step in time- and they never discover that the Morse people plan to destroy all life and take over your planet…. Was that a satisfactory explanation?]

A feeling of disgust overtakes me 'so because I killed myself- the worlds going to be destroyed'

[…that is correct]

Taking a minute to just breathe you switch the topic to something less depressing

'You avoided my question before. introduce yourself'

[This one is System 001. The first of its kind. The world tree created this system from the collective thoughts of your world to help and shackle you until you complete your task.]

… ignoring the fact that some godly being wants to shackle you for now, you ask another question

'task?'

[the world tree can keep your world in stasis forever if you so wish- but alas, it's energy is completely depleted. It has no way of restarting your world's clock.]

'So earth is stuck in time?'

[you are correct]

'And what exactly am I supposed to do about it?'

[collect enough energy to restart the Earth's time]

'How?'

[you will enter many alternate universes. Complete the tasks set by the system to reap the excess energy of these worlds- some may appear familiar to you. Just remember- these worlds- while real, will be very different from the worlds you saw in your own reality.]

[Any more questions, host? Or shall we begin]

Breathing deeply- you think over all that you've learned. two questions hovering at the tip of your tongue.

'You said you were here to help and shackle me. What did you mean'

[…]

[I see host has some brains.]

Annoyed, I demand an answer rather harshly towards the piece of data.

'Answer the question'

[… as your shackle, I'm here to make sure you collect enough energy, saying so, you will be forced to travel the multiverse until you collect enough points- dying will never be permanent for you.

Luckily for you I'm also something that can help you. You can store items in the system space and use points to buy items to help you in completing your tasks in the system store- you can also view your body's data in numerical value. Very handy, no?]

'… I can't die?' An overwhelming feeling of hate and hopelessness overtake me.

[until you've collected 1 million points of energy- and then restart your world. You will be incapable of dying. Should you complete the task set for you, the shackle will be released.]

'Fine, fine. I get it. I'm stuck until the mistakes of my suicide are fixed'

[Now that I've explained your duty- shall we begin, host?]

Hesitating briefly, you nod. 'Yes- begin'

[starting search… world found. transmission initiated]

A feeling of dizziness overtakes you before everything fades to black
