Felix and I clashed blades and he chuckled then kicked me backwards. I rolled backwards then rebounded onto one knee then stood up. I exchanged my greatsword for my bow and took aim. I began firing arrows at him. Felix dashed forward and deflected every arrow and slashed at me, knocking my bow out of my hands. My bow landed on the ground then disappeared.
"Ugh! Why can't I beat you?" I groaned and sat down on the ground.
"Well you still have much to learn, Your Majesty." Felix smiled then watched Iris hurrying ahead to us with bottles of water.
"Lord Brother, Felix!~ How's the training?" Iris asked. "Is he able to awaken his Godhood?"
"Not yet, he is getting better in combat though. I guess waking you up at 5 AM was the best choice." Felix chuckled and sheathed his blade then grabbed a bottle of water.
Iris handed one to me and smiled. "Here~"
I looked at Iris and smiled then grabbed the bottle of water. "Thanks."
Yukari appeared beside us then walked closer to us. "We have trouble. The Kingdom of Idrisid has begun marching to our kingdom. They must've heard news that God-Emperor Ares is still alive and come to finish the job."
"Hrmm...Well we can't allow that to happen. We are still short of soldiers, but with us four...it should be more than enough to strike them down and prevent them from getting closer. We can even expand our land and find more people to help rebuild our kingdom and probably find Your Majesty a wife. The bloodline must continue." Felix said as he stroked his beard.
"One of the women in the city should be more than happy to be his wife." Yukari said.
"Nay. Your Majesty only deserves the best consorts, someone of royal lineage or at the very least someone of royal descent...and the nearest kingdom is the Centuros Kingdom. Maybe we'll get lucky and find one after driving back the enemy forces." Felix said. "Maybe we can even find more people who are willing to follow our side and serve him also while we are fighting against the enemies."
"How will we know if someone is of Royal Descent?" Iris asked.
"All Royal Descents bare a Royal Crest. It's the only way to prove royal descent." Felix explained then showed his royal crest on the back of his neck. "The Crest of Thuriya. I am of royal descent of a past monarch from the Kingdom of Centuros, our allied kingdom."
"Ohhhh! Well why don't I have a Royal Crest? I am quite literally a member of a Royal Family." Iris pouted.
"Don't think about it too much. I don't bare a Royal Crest either." Yukari said.
I stood up after drinking all my water and cleared my throat. The three looked at me and I looked at them. "We should handle these bastards before they break through the frontlines."
"Right. Let us march outside the city." Felix said.
"Right!" Iris and Yukari said.
We hurried to the stables and gathered my army then we rode off. We headed off outside the city and Yukari pointed our where the enemy camps and outposts were. We stopped a safe distance away from the enemy territory and got off our horses.
"Alright, we should be able to take down some of these lowly soldiers with ease. Felix how many men do we have on our side?" Yukari asked.
"I don't know, maybe a few thousand to ten thousand? The Centuros Kingdom was generous enough to lend us their soldiers." Felix answered.
"Alright. That seems good enough, we capture their outposts and camps so we can have more land to post our soldiers then from there we continue growing." Yukari said.
"Sounds good." Felix nodded. "Your call, Your Highness. Shall we march ahead? All out offense?"
"Yeah let's get these goons out of here." I said.
"Heh, such casual talk." Felix chuckled. "Alright let's march!"
"All units! Charge!" I commanded then the soldiers began charging forward and bellowed.
I rushed behind the shoulders with Felix and the others rushing behind me. The horns blew signalling our attack and the plains of the field quickly became a battlegrounds. Our soldiers began to tear through the enemy lines as if they were nothing. I looked at all the dead bodies of not only the enemies but our soldiers as well, but we had so many soldiers we only suffered minor casualties. We stopped and noticed an enemy knight tearing through our soldiers alone and the knight laughed.
"Your Majesty stand back!" Yukari said then rushed ahead and blocked the knight's next attack.
"Soldiers! Fall back!" I commanded and the the soldiers began to fall back and move out of the way of the battle between Yukari and the enemy knight.
"Die! Die!" The knight bellowed and pushed Yukari back. She grunted and held her head. She seemed to be trying to resist some form of magic that was taking her over.
Yukari looked at the woman and readied her daggers then glared. She dashed to the knight and slashed quickly and the knight blocked her attack then punched Yukari's stomach. Yukari grunted and coughed a bit of blood before being blown away. I rushed ahead and caught her then looked at the knight. I set Yukari down gently and walked ahead.
"Your Majesty, hold on." Felix said then rushed ahead.
"Stand back." I said then my weapons appeared and circled around me. I grabbed my katana then it materialized into its physical form. I dashed ahead and my eyes shined brightly.
The knight looked at me and smirked then dashed to me as well. Our blades clashed and then we pushed each other back. We clashed time after time before I managed to parry her next attack then kicked her back.
"Provide support!" I commanded.
Yukari nodded then performed hand gestures quickly. She took a deep breath then exhaled, blowing mist in the area. The knight looked around and couldn't see me anymore. I dashed ahead and began to strike her. The knight groaned and swung her weapon erratically. I noticed and flipped backwards, dodging her wild thrashing. Iris rushed in front of me and awakened her weapon then charged up her attack.
"Lord Brother! Hold me down because I will recoil backwards!" Iris said.
I nodded and held her shoulders, keeping her in place. "There."
"Take this! Pride Blaster!" Iris bellowed and fired a massive beam of flames at the knight.
The knight noticed it and stopped swinging her weapon then got blasted by the beam. Iris grunted as she recoiled a bit, causing both of us to slide backwards a bit. The mist cleared and the knight was shown on the ground and her sword stuck into the ground next to her head.
"We did it. We did it!" Iris cheered happily.
"Mission complete." Yukari nodded.
"Good job army." Felix smiled.
I let go of Iris's shoulders and walked ahead to the knight. I noticed her sitting up and stopped in front of her. I held my hand out to her and looked down at her. "Here." I said.
She looked up at me then was about to take my hand then grunted and held her head. "Grrraahhh!! Die! Die!" She roared and her eyes shined with bloodlust.
"Your Majesty!" Felix yelled and ran ahead then pulled me back and blocked the knight's attack. "She's...being controlled by some mind control magic. We have to defeat the mage who is controlling her but the mage nowhere to be found.."
The knight stood up and retreated. With that, we have our first piece of land where we can station the soldiers we have left and expand our resources. I looked at Felix and the others. We helped the soldiers get settled in the area.
"This will be our front lines. We may have enough soldiers to march ahead, but with that knight on the loose and being mind controlled, we can't make it too far without losing a few hundred more than we need to. For now let's head back to Luceros." Felix said.
"Okay." I nodded and we got on our horses then traversed back to Luceros.
Once we made it back, we let our horses rest in the stable and walked into the courthouse and went straight to the royal court room. I sat in the judge's seat and looked at Felix, Yukari, and Iris.
"Alright with our first piece of land in our hands, and enough soldiers to defend it for a few days, we should focus up on getting construction done around here and getting you your first wife." Felix said.
"As always, I'll handle the money situations. I shall report soon." Yukari said then performed hand gestures and disappeared, leaving behind a cat stuffed animal.
Iris picked up the stuffed animal and giggled then hugged it. "Yukari always leaves behind the cutest things when she uses her warping ninpo~"
I smiled at Iris then looked at Felix. "Where will I find my first wife?"
"Follow me." Felix said.
I nodded then stood up. "Iris, just hang out around the castle alright?"
"Mhm!~" Iris ran off somewhere.
I followed Felix and walked beside him. "So how old are you all?" I asked.
"I am 60 years old. In reality I am to be 70 years old, but after a Scarlet Moon rose in the sky and a moon ray striking me, I was granted decelerated aging. Yukari is just about your age being 23. Iris is merely 17 years old. Though very petite her strength rivals that of a lion." Felix answered.
"Oh okay." I said then looked ahead. I've never had a sister before so Iris was pretty special to me as she was my first sister.
We continued to the giant tower and we walked inside then I noticed a giant portal which was accompanied by two angel statues, both facing the portal with their hands out.
"This is called the Outing Portal. This is where you shall meet some if not most of your consorts. You can only travel to lands that are under the rule of Luceros and of course to other areas of Luceros that is too far to travel with just a horse alone. Once you're finished around the area, you can always use the portal to return here. I have something to do in Centuros so I will be gone for a bit. Once you find the woman you wish to be with, a marriage proposal is a must." Felix said then walked off.
I looked at the portal and walked towards it and braced myself since I've never been close to anything this magical. I entered the portal and closed my eyes tightly then was transported to my next destination. I opened my eyes and looked around. I read the sign and noticed I was in a small harbor town in Luceros. I walked around and looked about. It smelled like the ocean in the town and offered a weird sense of nostalgia as it reminded me of the beach.
As I looked around, I noticed a woman standing alone on a dock, watching the birds fly around. She held her hand out and a bird landed on her index finger. She looked so graceful, so beautiful, so...perfect. From what I could see at the distance I was at, she had long green hair that was tied in a ponytail, perfectly clear skin, pointed ears, and a slender build with a medium bust. She wore an ornate white and gold dress, white thigh high stockings, and white royal shoes.
I decided to walk over to her and thought of the many conversation starters. I got myself ready to talk to her. "Hey there, it's a nice day out here isn't it?"
The elven woman looked at me then smiled. "Yeah, the breeze is nearly always perfect at this time and the smell of the ocean is always so pure and calming." She answered then looked back out at the ocean.
"Do you...come here often?" I asked.
"Nearly everyday." She said.
"By yourself?" I asked.
"No one else is willing to come here with me especially after the attack that happened here. Speaking of the attack, you're the God-Emperor right?" She asked and looked at me.
I looked at her then nodded. "I am the new God-Emperor of Luceros, yes."
"Your presence has raised the moral of this Kingdom by a lot, but I'm afraid because of your known presence your enemies have found a reason to bring up their weapons again." She said.
"Well this time I'm ready for them." I said. "I can't let this Kingdom fall down the same fate as before. I'm gonna show the world what I'm made of."
The woman smiled and giggled softly. "I am glad to be in your presence. My name is Celica Virfir. I am from an Elven Kingdom named Vitalis."
"I am God-Emperor Ares and I am glad to be in your presence." I chuckled softly.
Celica smiled and looked at me. She looked at the ocean then held her hands behind her back. "You're too kind, Your Highness, but I'm sure the pleasure should be all mine."
"No, I shall take the pleasure as I walked up to you." I smiled and looked at the ocean.
"Nope. You are the royal and I should be more honored that you came up to me in the first place." Celica smiled then looked at me.
"Heh. There's no winning this one huh?" I asked and looked at Celica.
"Nope~" Celica giggled softly.
I chuckled softly and closed my eyes the let out a soft sigh.
"What's the matter?" Celica asked.
"Huh? Oh. Nothing, I guess I'm still down in the dumps a bit." I said then watched the birds.
"I completely understand. Losing your people and your parents and nearly losing your kingdom. It can take a lot, but we are here for you." Celica smiled.
I looked at Celica then smiled back. "I know."
Celica noticed a magic circle appear in front of her. A man's face appeared on the magic circle. "Hey papa, I was just about to come home."
"Good! Because your mother needs help with the process of making dinner!" Celica's dad said.
I looked at the magic circle and rose an eyebrow. I wondered how communicate like that worked.
Celica got finished talking to her dad then looked at me. "I should be heading home now. It was nice meeting you again! Hopefully we can see each other again sometime!" Celica said as she hurried off.
I waved at her then remembered what Felix said. I facepalmed and sighed. "I was supposed to ask her to marry me. Dammit how did I forget important information like that? Ugh I guess tomorrow is a new day."
I made my way back to the portal and went inside. I was transported back to the citadel and there, Iris was waiting for me. I looked at her and she wanted me to follow her somewhere.
"Alright, I took on the liberty of finding you a wife just in case you failed to and I think I found a very good one!" Iris said excitedly.
"The hell? How did you know I'd fail?" I asked.
"A sister knows her cold hearted brother!~" Iris giggled.
"What? I'm not THAT cold hearted..." I said and sighed.
"Alright Lord Brother, meet your first wife of Royal Descent! Meet Lulu the Dairy Queen!~" Iris said then showed a woman to me.
I looked at the woman and blinked. She had long brown butt length hair, lightly tan skin, blue eyes, and a cow bell around her neck. She had a beautiful and voluptuous figure with large breasts. She had brown cow ears, brown cow tail, tiny horns, and wore a brown and white spotted sleeveless top with a brown and white skirt and dark colored stockings and brown shoes. She wore white gloves that extended to her upper arms.
"Uhm...Iris." I started.
"Yeah?" Iris looked at me. "I did good didn't I? You'll never find a woman like this anywhere else!"
I noticed the proud and arrogant look in her eyes. I sighed and smiled then ruffled her hair. "What exactly is she?"
"She's a uh...a cow..?" Iris asked unsure herself.
"I-I am a Mammalian.." Lulu said shyly.
"A what?" I asked.
"Oh!~ She's a Mammalian! Meaning she's half animal, half human!" Iris said then smiled and nodded. "She agreed to be your wife! Marriage ceremony starts tomorrow and don't worry, marriage ceremonies are always private, quick and easy!~"
I looked at Lulu and walked to her then stood beside her. "You actually want to marry me?"
"Y-Yes." Lulu nodded and blushed slightly.
"And I want a lot of nieces and nephews!" Iris said then yelped when Yukari covered her mouth.
"The nerve of this girl.." Yukari said.
Lulu and I looked at each other then back at Iris. Lulu had steam coming from her ears as she heard what Iris wanted.
"I'll have a maid see you to your chambers." Yukari said then threw a smoke bomb down and both Iris and Yukari disappeared within the smoke.
"We don't need to wait that long, I'll show you to the room." I said then held my hand out.
Lulu shyly held my hand then followed me into the castle and I showed her to her room. It was a weird feeling getting married, but at the same time I needed any reason to forget about Jenna for good even if it means marrying women like Lulu.
