[Congratulations! You have completed the achievement, Wrath of The Creator. Kill 50% or more of the animal population using the weather. Rewarding 100 evolution points.]
[Congratulations! You have completed the achievement, First Glimpse of Humanity. One of your inhabitant species has adapted into primitive cavemen/woman. Rewarding 100 evolution and 200 technology points for the historic accomplishment]
[The menu option, Record of History, has been unlocked]
"What 'fantastic' timing…" a melancholic voice said as tore their eyes away from the hairy but bipedal humanoids walking into the distance. They lack the clear-cut appearance of modern-day humans but they were undoubtedly on the right track.
Doing his best to not think about the first achievement he saw, Kiro opened the technology tree of the inhabitant menu. Expecting a similar situation to the biology tree, he was surprised to find the technology tree showing five columns of apparent species options, the first filled out with the word humanity pasted across the top with a runic design going across the side, split down the middle by a dull blue and orange light flowing through each side.
"What is this supposed to mean?"
Wanting to understand more, he 'selected' the available column as it brought him to a vertical skill tree split into two tree-like paths with the same lights disconnected by a space in between. With a single word defining both sides, Kiro understood the orange side to be a science and technology-focused tree, while the blue light was magic focused tree.
"System can you explain what's going on with this? I can understand the basics of it but please explain why there are two trees to choose from when this is clearly a technology tree."
[Understood. There are two available paths humanity can follow as it steps toward the future, the others being available later on as one of the paths is selected for focus. The science and technology pathway will subconsciously push humans down the path of creation, hastening their development through time periods as they work to improve their current understanding of science and technology with innovative minds.
The magic path is available as an alternative start as you begin to gather universal energy into your body, filling even the tiniest lifeform with trace amounts of it. Humanity will develop an organ to begin channeling this energy into their body, embarking them down the path of magic and sorcery.
This will slow their technological development for quite some time as they will most likely focus on honing their magical powers for thousands if not tens of thousands of years, not worrying about their technological advancements in the slightest. Along with that, animals will evolve as they adapt to the universal energy themselves, causing conflict and eventual evolution into countless variation species with their own forms of intelligence and powers]
"So science against fantasy…"
[Using the memory of the host to understand what was said, the system deems it is precisely that]
"Is magic not worse then? Animals will develop into fantasy-type monsters, forcing humanity to develop magic over science and technology. This will create a world of conflict that can be destructive if not regulated to prevent truly powerful magic or monsters coming into existence." Kiro said as he contemplated while looking into the horizon, a hazy orange light lowering in the distance.
[Both paths have the possibility of being destructive, it will be up to the inhabitants to decide what happens as time moves forward. It is your duty to guide their evolution and believe in the future you are moving towards. To that end, please select which tree you would like to focus on.
Note: This cannot be changed in the future but inhabitants can slowly learn the opposite path should the opportunity arise.]
"Why do I feel like you are becoming more expressive in a way? Less robotic maybe…"
[It is simply your imagination, Baka!!!]

[Was that an effective display of expression? I used an example derived from your memories]

Thoroughly thinking over the benefits and possible side effects of both paths, Kiro decided to focus on science and technology rather than mana development. The reason for it was fairly simple, what can be achieved with mana early on can be later achieved through technological advancements in the future. For example, a spell that can destroy mountains can be rivaled by early modern-type missiles.
As Kiro was once a part of an advanced human race, thousands of years put into science and technological advancement, the technology, and weaponry he was familiar with were leagues above the early modern types that were in history books. Some weapons can destroy planets light years away with precision targeting and nearly perfect calculation.
Additionally, Kiro was beginning to miss the modern lifestyle he once had. Nature and early lifeforms developing on the surface were interesting to watch in person sure, but he would prefer watching anime and playing video games once again if and/or once they were developed.
Looking at the early technological options, he noticed they were separated into branches of focus like medicine, construction, science, hunting/gathering, and learning. Looking through the options first few options of each branch, he noted that most cost one point to begin the tree and steadily began to increase in cost.
Understanding that the cost would likely continue to rise the further down the branch he got, Kiro had to focus on a set of things as he had the points available rather than spreading to multiple focuses. Deciding to unlock some simple construction options like thatch housing pieces, walls, a roof, and a doorway, he continued using the rest of the points to unlock fire creation and primitive tools from the hunter-gathering branch.
With the final thing being a learning branch, Kiro only unlocked a single thing, Verbal language creation. This alone opened the door for communication between primitive humans that, over time, would develop into something more than the simple grunts and shouts currently being hurled around currently. It also cost a total of ninety technology points, cutting the number he originally had available to use nearly in half.
It was a hard choice to justify but as he wanted to understand how the primitive humans communicated, and also strengthen the communication they had in general, he bit the bullet and confirmed it rather than putting the points into science and medicine for the time being.

With the moon rising as Kiro moved his 'eyes' to the coast on the east of the continent, he took in the tranquility that the peacefulness brought. The water softly crashing against the shoreline lured him into a feeling of contentedness and surprisingly tiredness.
"I'd sleep if I had a body to sleep in…" he said softly as he took some time to think back on the last time he actually slept. Fairly certain it was before he became a planet, Kiro realized that he had essentially been awake for hundreds of thousands if not more than a million years. Albeit with a majority of time passing by from the time dilation.
"Am I mentally exhausted?"
[Correct]
"Ohh system… I wasn't talking to you but I suppose it's fine that you answered. Do you know how I can sleep? I usually just blank out and time passed but that isn't being asleep."
[Simply ask the system to put your consciousness into a deep sleep. As I- the system cannot do anything without permission or prompting from the entity,]
Willfully ignoring the slight slip of the system, Kiro continued the conversation while making a mental note to casually converse more with the system more. It seemed to be evolving in a similar manner to the inhabitants, becoming less robotic and more humanlike with its responses. Maybe it'll develop a personality and sense of identity eventually.
"How would I wake up if I am in a deep sleep?"
[You can request to be awoken as level ups, key achievements, and evolutionary processes are achieved. Time can also be specified so any notices regarding the aforementioned things would be stockpiled until the full time is completed]
"I see, then you can put me in a deep sleep. I am already tired from being awake for so long. Just wake me up when I level up, any key achievements or evolutionary processes are achieved. I have a feeling my inhabitants fully discovering and learning about what I already unlocked would wake me up continuously. As for the time, I'd rather not sleep for too long."
[Understood. Would you like to sleep now?]
Focusing back on his current surroundings, enjoying the soft crashing of the waves on the shoreline, even more, Kiro responded with a soft, "mhmm" before it felt like his 'eyes' were beginning to close as the only thing heard was nature and the water.
It was a truly peaceful moment, yet the feeling was slowly being felt around the planet. What Kiro never realized was that with his body being the planet entirely, his feelings are transmitted throughout it. This not only affects wildlife but even nature as a whole.
[Goodnight, Kiro. Enjoy your rest]

With Kiro drifting into a deep slumber, the surface of the planet seemed to pulse with a faint blue light, slowly but steadily. A small majority of primitive humans, over a few years, instinctually came to the spot where Kiro had fallen asleep, feeling a sense of safety and tranquility that no other place could replicate.
Not wanting to leave such an amazing area, they formed a tribe, transforming the area from a beach that led into a jungle into a small thatch house village. This was improved over many many years as minor achievements began to compile rapidly, the total amounting to nearly a hundred before Kiro was awakened to a single achievement.
[Goodmorning and Congratulations Kiro, Your inhabitants have established a large tribe of five hundred or more. Awarding 500 technology points, 300 bloodline points, and 100 culture points to you. This will also be recorded in the Record of History]
[Achievements Completed x98, please view them to collect your rewards]
(AN: Remember, it is never good to be awake for thousands of years. Get some more rest..)
