What is Freedom?
Is it the ability to do as one wishes? To speak, act and do whatever one pleases?
Perhaps that is freedom.
Is it simply not being imprisoned or enslaved?
Perhaps that is also freedom.
You can say freedom is whatever you like it to be. In fact, if you wish to be imprisoned, and are, then that is freedom. If you wish to believe freedom doesn't exist, then so be it. I cannot tell you what freedom is, but perhaps I can tell you what it was.
In the current state of things, power is freedom and freedom is power. The two are irrevocably intertwined, for the one who has the most power is the one who possesses the most freedom, or so you probably think.
But let me tell you of another time. Before time. When time was not a straight line. When space was not a solid but a liquid, and when one was two and two was three and zero faded. Back before this current existence where things and concepts are what they are and always shall be.
You'd be right to think that the concepts you know of today like anger, war, and other such things were thought up by humans and the other many peoples and races of the infinitely expanding cosmos.
To make things easier to understand for you going forward, let me tell you of a tale from an old world. It is a tale told to simplify how they believe creation came about. I've made a few changes, but the story remains the same.
Chaos was born from his father nothing and abandoned. left alone he wept and wept, and from his tears were born his sons Time and Space. Afterwhich came their sister, Order, and with Order came stability. With stability came the possibility of matter and from matter were formed the first creations; stars, suns, the moons, and the world.
And on this world was born life, and with life came death.
Life grew leading to soul and mind which lead to emotion and thought. Pain and pleasure. Hatred and love. With these came sin and virtue; born from the thoughts and ideals of people. People who created peace after conflict and war.
People who created freedom after imprisonment and enslavement.
It is a simple story. A true story, mostly. But it is not the full story.
