Richard and Anxia felt like someone stabbed their heart to see their daughter's heartbreaking countenance. Richard reached out, hoping he could explain in a better way. "Lori..."
"I understand," interrupted Lori before Richard could continue his words. "I don't mind, dad." Lori forced a smile not to worry her parents, but her teary eyes couldn't lie.
"Lori,"
"Dad, I'm full. Can I go back to my room?"
Richard glanced at Anxia with a questioning look. After seeing Anxia's nod agreeing to Lori's request, Richard called Ms. Dee to accompany Lori to read a book until the child wanted to sleep.
"Good night, daddy. Good night, mommy." Although Lori wanted to cry, she tried her best to look as cheerful as possible and said good night with her best smile.
