While others were fighting for the throne and the lands much bigger than the Kingdom, Ezio was hunting down the monsters in the caves. At first, he thought these monsters would be weak since, unlike the bear, they all lived in the same mountain range, but he realized soon enough, that he was dead wrong.
"Damn it!" He said as he slipped under a rock. The monster behind him ignored the thick mountain wall and crushed it with its mighty fist. "ROAR!" Its angry call shook the mountain as he chased after Ezio.
"I didn't know they had a parent!" Ezio shouted as he kept on running. On his 7th day in the domain, he found a rare herb. Mindfiber was an ivy grown in Qi-rich places. It could potentially increase the mind power of any creature consuming it. Since it was a rare herb and some of the pills he knew required it as the main material, he decided to move it to the Backyard.
But to do that, he had to find the root, the branches couldn't be planted in the Backyard. He followed the ivy that was moving along several cave systems, and hid from many strong monsters that had taken the nest with the help of the tattoo, and he finally found the root. But there were two creatures sitting nearby smelling the odor the plant was oozing.
The root and the ivy were releasing this fragrance, and it would slowly influence the creatures that smelled it. Some animals would also eat the branches to have a better effect, but the root was the most important part, and the closer they were to it, the more benefit they would get. So seeing two small apes near the root all by themselves, Ezio thought they were probably orphaned in a battle over the plant.
As a good person, he decided to take them to Eastyard so they could grow up with other monsters and wouldn't be so lonely. But who would have known that as soon as he tamed two monsters, their mother would return?
Just as Ezio placed the plant in Backyard, and apes to Eastyard, the mother appeared at the cave entrance. Of course, the disappearance of the Mindfiber also alerted the other monsters, and chaos ensued in the cave system.
Ezio dodged another wall and entered an opening, but this time, he was trapped. He looked right and left, but found no exit. Wherever he looked, only dark mountain walls greeted him.
"Look, I cannot return your babies," Ezio said as he raised his hands to show he was unarmed. "I've already marked them."
"ROAR!"
"I know, I know. How about you too come with me? I have a spring, herbs, and a trainer. You will be safe all the time!" Ezio tried to entice the monster, but the monster literally stared daggers at him. When he looked, metal daggers would fly at him from its back, so yeah, literally. That was the monster's main element. It had a golden skin, and it could create metal weapons to throw at its opponents.
"You asked for it!" Ezio shouted as he kicked the ground. Tens of metal spikes pierced the ground and reached the ceiling in no time. The monster was unaffected by the attack for two reasons. Firstly, its skin was metal, the attack didn't even hurt him. Secondly, this attack was more of a trap than heavy damage. The spikes were raising slowly, thus couldn't damage the creature much even if caught unguarded.
But that wasn't Ezio's aim. The monster is trapped between spikes and the ceiling. In its stupor, Ezio charger with lightning covering its body. When he was near the monster, he punched its metallic, glorious, shining body. The electrical discharge covered the monster and reached its organs. Although the monster was a 5th Tier monster, the metal was still weak against lightning.
"ROAARRR!" The monster cried in panic as it thrashed around. Its thick arms destroyed the spikes, but Ezio wasn't waiting for it to get free. He brought his two hands together as if he was prying, and in the next second pulled them apart. There was a white mist between his two hands. He took a deep breath and blew. The breath carried the cold between his hands and hit the monster. Slowing it down, and freezing its limbs one after the other.
"A gentleman may be required to chill the hearts of the people after a war, or he may be forced to freeze his enemies to death. He may have no other choice than to freeze the limbs of his allies. Pray and puff."
Ice Blow!
While the monster slowed down dramatically, Ezio pulled out Tenebras Lux from the Mysterious Room. The Marquis-tier weapon shone and blinded the ape. He slashed it across its frozen body with the help of the golden wind to tire it out. He still wanted to tame it. And whenever the monster got its power back, he just blew more cold air on it.
In thirty minutes, Ezio was about to run out of Mana Force and the monster was covered in red, it finally fell to its knees. It looked at Ezio in rage, but at this point, it couldn't do anything else. Staggering towards the 3 meters tall beast, Ezio hardly drew a drop of his blood and marked the beast before he collapsed.
As he did, he summoned three monsters from Eastyard to protect him. Before he passed out, he put the big ape to Qi Spring in the Eastyard, so it could heal faster.

The chase between Xiao Chen and others was still at its peak while Ezio was dealing with the monsters. The Second Prince, with the members of Prometheus's Suffering, were also running away from Xiao Chen. Although they all knew before they entered that, this would be the battlefield that would decide everything, they still chose to come. Because if they didn't and Prince Consort took everything, it would be too late anyway. They couldn't let that happen.
But the Second Prince was still prideful and hateful against his brother. Since his big brother, Crown Prince died, the throne was his to take, but his little brother still challenged him. How could he forgive him? He would rather work with Xiao Chen instead of forgiving his little brother!
