Cristoff's stint in jail caused a rift among his pack and his leader's ability was sorely questioned. By the time Cristoff was out of jail, his Beta, Hardy, had been assigned by by Cristoff's father as Alpha pack leader.
Cristoff had a talk with his father over the allegations of abuse regarding his wife, Tristana, with Cristoff denying everything, to which, his father believed him, reassigning Cristoff as Alpha pack leader again.
But the damage was done as Tristana had already filed for a divorce from Cristoff!
When Cristoff was served the Dissolution of Marriage papers, Cristoff went to see Tristana to plead his side, but his pleas had fallen on deaf ears when Tristana refused to listen and asked him to leave, but when Cristoff refused, Justin had to physically toss him out.
But Cristoff vowed he would make Tristana pay for this disgrace! Nobody in his family ever disgraced the family name with a divorce and he wouldn't be the first!
When Cristoff's first love, Sarjane heard about his pending divorce from Tristana, she was filled with hope that she might have another chance with him and went over to his father's house to see him.
"Cristoff, I'm sorry about you and Tristana." Sarjane told him when he answered the door.
"And that gave you license to comfort me?!" Cristoff accused.
I just wanted to let you know I'm here for you if you need me?"
"Shut up, Sarjane!" Cristoff said harshly. "You never wanted me to marry Tristana!"
"Can you blame me?!" Sarjane defended herself. "I still love you! I always thought your arranged marriage to Tristana was wrong?!"
"What could I do about it?!"
"You could have challenged it! Stand up for yourself and to your father!"
"You don't get it, Sarjane, you can't fight an arrangement in marriage!"
"Well, maybe if you had, Tristana wouldn't have been sneaking around with that doctor behind your back!" Sarjane shot out.
"How do you know that?"
But Cristoff's rage allowed him to kiss Sarjane, who didn't resist his advances, leading the two lovers to find themselves in bed making love. It didn't matter to Sarjane that Cristoff was in a rage over Tristana. The only thing that mattered was Cristoff was hers again!
