That same day, Malie called me.
"Hey, what's up?" I said while putting my phone to my ear and leaning on the wall. The position didn't make me comfortable, but I took her call as one of the important things I had to carry out.
"I am so sad. I just felt like talking to you about it." She was sounding so exhausted and sad. I didn't know how to tell her I was sad too, but my head wasn't wrapped up around that. I wanted to know what made her sad.
"Oh, I am so sorry. I mean, you know you can talk to me anytime you want to, like I am here for you. So tell me, what is wrong?" I said trying to control my voice. I didn't want her to know I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone, and in fact she disrupted my personal time with her call.
