For some reason no matter how hard Wo Shie tried to imagine a different result than getting pummeled he somehow couldn't escape it.
Wo she didn't know if his imagining skills we're realistic or losing so badly so any times had left some type of traumatic scars. He decided to call it quits after failing to grasp anything about flow or a dance in the past few hours, so he decided he'd just work on his blind spots for now and try to think about flow and dances later.
With that he went to sleep and spent the entire night sparing in his dreams against the unbeatable Fu Shen. For a few moments he started to realize he was dreaming and had the thought what if I consciously practice here?
With that thought he began to focus on practicing against Fu Shen in his dream but when he started to focus for some reason he found himself starting to wake up. And when he tried to focus on staying asleep he had completely woke up doing the exact opposite of what he was trying to do.
When he woke up he was in deep thought about this, he wondered how when he focused on something he started waking up and when he put effort in staying asleep he became completely awake.
He looked around and noticed the sun had already come out so he decided he may as well get up. Today was the beginning of the fifth month since Wo Shie had met Fu Shen. So far these past few months Wo Shie completed the first stage of his body transformation.
He and Fu Shen's relationship had grown to that of brothers. They ate together Fu Shen taught Wo Shie things regarding survival and a lot about the world.
Fu Shen also benefited greatly as he'd eat food that Wo Shie 'cooked' and rather than increasing his cultivation it further enhanced and evolve his body.
Wo Shie followed his daily routine and exorcised before taking a break and resting at noon. After he was done resting and felt good again he decided it was about time for him to challenge Fu Shen to a spar.
"Alright get up old man today's the day I smack you up side your head for all the headaches you gave me!" Wo Shie immediately began to jeer and taunt Fu Shen hoping maybe just 1 word of his would get through that thick skull of his and throw him off his game.
Alas That all but failed "Ahh it sounds like you haven't understood a thing little Wo Shie, poor guy maybe with our dance today you'll become less dense" Fu Shen mocked the kid with the crazy ideas while trying to help the poor little guy.
Wo Shie saw how he was looking down on him and didn't say anything and started to mentally rehearse the moves he thought of to counter his blind spots as they walked towards the open area where they'd spar.
Once they got there they stood across from each other in a circular area that looked like the original land was just flipped over as wood vine like objects were protruding out of the ground and a lot of them were broken and were just twigs to be stepped on.
Looking at each other and getting in their fighting stance Fu Shen smiled and said, "Whenever you're ready little buddy, I promise to not a single day of existence to go easy on you."
Hearing this Wo Shie had become even more serious while sweat began to trickle down his forehead, anytime the guy said a monologue instead of just 'ready when you are' or 'on your go', meant that he wasn't about to be pulling punches and it seemed like the punishment he received on those days was if he was a mortal trying to fight someone at the peak of the core formation stage. (The first stage after body transformation).
Wo Shie stood still getting his emotions in check for a moment, once his mind was fully focused he started walking towards Fu Shen in a boxers stance. He had his hands up ready to block counter or strike now all he needed was an opening.
He knew just rushing in would get him smacked so he took the slow approach. Once he was about 6 ft away from Fu Shen he he attempted to lunge with a knee strike.
Seeing this Fu Shen carefully side stepped slightly to the right while turning his body in such a fashion that Wo Shie completely missed. He also launched his hand attempting to capture Wo Shie from his collar.
Having faced a similar situation Wo Shie immediately twisted his body and turned around while raising a hand to block the hand coming towards his collar. When his eyes finally saw instead of a hand it was a boot coming straight towards his face, But that's when exactly what he imagined happened next.
The kick changed trajectories from his face to his ribs and he was unable to adjust in time sending him painfully tumbling across the flat land clutching his side knowing there had to be at least some cracks in his ribs while he had some twigs that had broken and stabbed into the surface of his skin.
At this same time however it was like something clicked and finally made sense in Wo Shie's head.
