After returning to the cave he old man decided to he would step up their training. He felt that they would become complacent after coming back from their training. He didn't want to stop them though. Youths should be hotblooded. He instead wanted them to have the capital to be arrogant. So he told them to spar and gave them fe instructions while he got busy. He was going to make a conducive training for them to make them more efficient. His desciple subordinates should all would be treated like in-name desciples for now.
Noah remembered his former training plan where he needed to use the full strength of his physique. He began immediately. The log of wood that he used before could no longer be enough for him as he easily it. He got a rock and started trying to slice it. His first slash wasn't enough to slash the stone so he continued using his full strength. By the week's end he had seen the limit of the strength. But he couldn't split the rock. He suddenly thought of using his energy to make his cut more distructive. The stone exploded broadening his horizons. The old man saw this and frowned but he was busy with the finishing touches to the training ground so he left Noah to his own devices.
Smith who was meditating looked up, saw the destruction, was surprised and continues meditating. The assassin didn't know how to feel. Their God wasn't as powerful as he thought. But regardless he decided to get stronger to protect him in the future to he grows up. After all it was obvious that he was young.
The old man began to give each of them little guidance before he'll begin their hellish training. He made Noah and Smith to try breaking a Boulder with their sword while using their energy to coat around the sword.
Nix was going to train his throwing dagger skills so he set different targets and learnt to throw knives flexibly. He also began learning more knife skills as he was sent to fight warriors from the goblin village with them attacking him at the same time.
Noah and Smith could already destroy the Boulder with the sword. The old man made them know the maximum destructive power they could make with using their energy to coat around the sword. Noah had just struck a boulder blasting it to pieces.
"What is a sword used for? It is to cut and stab. A sword works never blast a boulder to pieces. It is not blunt. It's duty is to cut the boulder cleanly or to stab cleanly through the boulder. The energy you're using to coat your sword is meant to be used by blunt weapon users. The energy used should be refined and used to coat the sword as efficiently as possible. Compress your energy to refine it", The old man adviced them after making them practice the limit of their destructive process.
This proved to enlighten Noah and Smith as the always felt something was wrong but more that there's a direction their doubt was cleared. The energy coming out of them was no longer looking as abundant as before. Instead they tried to compress their energy. It was a new thing for them but they had to learn. The old man was looking at Noah deep in thought.
"I'm a genius. The art I gave Noah is perfect for using the power of Faith. Now he won't have to limit himself to only elemental laws because of mana. He can learn other laws with faith energy that can give him an edge in this world", he thought proudly.
He decided to make Nix use an art for only making his body stronger. He won't use energy during fights so he should be untraceable as he doesn't have energy to lock on to. And he would use the dark element of mana instead of fire so that he would be used to darkness.
Now the training had begun. Noah and Smith spend the day trying to compressing the maximum energy they can bring of their body to o coat their swords to be so small that they will only thinly coat the swords making it sharper because of the compressed energy. Nix was absorbing only dark elements even with his mid affinity to it. With his superior psyon absorption ability, he could easily absorb the dark elements. And the mountain had sufficient mana. Slowly he began changing his body. With his art, he used an overwhelming amount of dark element to temper his body. The pain was much but he knew this was the path he had to take for him to be useful to Noah. His art uses an overwhelming amount of mana to revolve around his body slowly tempering his cells. Then his cells begins to change according to the element used. Then he would be resistant to that element. But since he is using dark element it adds stealth as a perk.
