Chapter 30 - men who spread charm

After doing a romantic meal at the cafe, Alexander invites Daisy to go somewhere but not with Pierce. The man drives his car at an average speed, occasionally glancing at Daisy, who looks relaxed when she hears Lana Del Rey's song Happiness is Butterfly playing through the MP3 installed in his car.

"I think you will like slow songs like this," he said.

"Not really but I like the meaning of this song," said Daisy casually, gazing at the view outside which was quite bright and the road was not too crowded with vehicles. "This song reminds me of butterflies and the beautiful life I dreamed of with my mother," she continued.

"And you feel it now."

"Yeah... It's all because of you." Daisy glanced back at Alexander. "Thank you... You are my savior."

"Don't say that because I haven't succeeded in making you truly happy," Alexander exclaimed, then grabbed Daisy's left hand and held it while he held the steering wheel in his left hand. "I want to give you a world, a beautiful world full of fun and love….You will feel what other girls have felt all this time. That's why I don't want to marry you right away because I'm sure you'll feel I have control over you before you settle for feeling free like a butterfly."

Daisy smiled faintly, glancing at Alexander who was starting to brag.

"What happens if you marry me? Are you going to lock me up?" She asked.

"No, that won't happen," Alexander replied with a focused gaze ahead.

"So what?"

"When you become my wife then you must not do anything carelessly because it can tarnish my good name. You must be good at maintaining an attitude….and surely you are getting more and more attached to me so you are not as free as you are now," explained Alexander, as if Daisy was indeed going to be his wife. Hmm, but he still hides the relationship and also hides the identity of a woman named Karina. Maybe Daisy is just his mistress?

"Now I see..." Daisy nodded her head. "You wanted to make me feel free longer than you didn't marry me right away. It was a beautiful thing and you were so selfless even though you were obsessed with me."

"Because I love you." Alexander kissed Daisy's hand.

Daisy just smiled, even though she was tickled by Alexander's sweet attitude. For some reason, she was fed up, and felt that everything was not sincere, tacky, or indeed because her heart was like a stone. After all, the image of her father's shame always haunted her. What she was doing right now was pure as a thank you that Alexander had freed her, because there was no point in running away either because it would complicate the situation.

Clarissa felt very bored in the apartment. Since earlier she only watched TV, then ate, then took a shower, then cleaned the room, and finally relaxed on the terrace while enjoying red wine and snacks in the form of French fries dipped in chili sauce. The girl who wore shorts and Pierce's oversized t-shirt was sitting on a yellowish white couch with her legs crossed, her gaze fixed on the front which was a view of skyscrapers.

"The freedom I wanted and now I've got it but why am I bored? A day here without Pierce would be very sad because I have nothing to do or to talk to."

"I'm sorry, honey," someone said from the doorway.

Clarissa immediately turned towards the door and saw Pierce coming with several paper bags from the smallest to the largest. She immediately put the glass of red wine on the table and then stood up to greet her lover with a kiss on the cheek.

"I can't come back right away because I had to take Daisy and Mr. Alexander to the brothel, then I had to take them to the cafe for a date..after that I can only enjoy my own time so I can buy a lot of things for you," Pierce said as he put some of the paper bags on the couch.

Clarissa sat back down, staring at Pierce who took off his black coat. Her heart was filled with curiosity about her best friend who had to return to the embroidery house while she was free and she was already free in the apartment.

"Why did Daisy and Alexander go to the brothel?" She asked.

"I told her you were here," Pierce answered seriously, looking at Clarissa. "At first she was very angry that Mr. Alexander bought her because she was worried about you. Finally, there was a moment for me to talk to her, and I told her everything... She was happy too and became curious about the situation in the brothel especially curious about the madam who must be confused because you didn't go back there. .finally she asked Alexander to take her there to get her things and also said goodbye to you Even though she knew you weren't there anymore."

Clarissa smiled faintly. "So, you and she are playing in front of Mr. Alexander and madam?"

"Yes, sweetheart. She pretends to be sad when she finds out that you are not back there anymore. Everyone thought you were kidnapped by Gery," Pierce replied with a chuckle, remembering Nicole's annoyed face.

"Even though the kidnapper was you."

Pierce smiled while tilting his head, then took a small paper bag and took out its contents in the form of a medium-sized rectangular box. He handed the white box to Clarissa with a warm smile.

"What's this?" Clarissa asked.

"Something very important to us," Pierce replied.

Clarissa was curious and immediately opened the box. She looked at a white gold cell phone, then took it and looked back at Pierce in amazement about not believing that she was given a cell phone that she had never imagined.

"I want to buy the cellphone for you so we can communicate and you can also communicate with Daisy," Pierce said with a warm smile, looked at Clarissa, who focused on the cellphone, then activated it. "There's already written Daisy's number...You may communicate but must be private especially not to be known by Mr. Alexander. You may have social media but never post your photo because it can let madam know your whereabouts because of course she has social media. and never give your cell phone number to anyone because it's very confidential ... Just I and Daisy who have your number. .the point are that you stay hidden until the time comes I make it impossible for anyone to take you from me," he continued explaining in great detail.

Clarissa sighed, looked at Pierce lovingly, then put the phone and the box on the table.

"I hope you like it," Pierce said with a genuine smile.

Clarissa immediately sat on Pierce's lap, then wrapped her right hand around his neck, then her left hand touched his beard jaw. She looked into her lover's eyes very intensely, then kissed her lips gently.

Pierce also returned the kiss with his hand wrapped around Clarissa's waist. He closed his eyes, feeling the soft kiss until the girl ended it.

"I don't know what else to say..." Clarissa said, shaking her head, looking at Pierce's handsome face with teary eyes. "I love you and I'm lucky to have you. You are my savior and my guardian angel!"

Pierce smiled warmly. "And you are the queen in my heart."

Clarissa smiled, then hugged Pierce very tightly. She cries, happy to be free and to have the man who loves her that she dreams of actually happening. ah, anyone who is in her position must feel touched and not want it all to pass.
