He sat up, he observed his surroundings.
"Where, am I? This doesn't look like the kingdom at all."
He stood up, then started to slowly rise into the air. He went higher and higher until he had reached the city skyline. The city lit up the night sky. It was quite beautiful. It was a new sight for him. He flew around the city buildings. It didn't feel anything like how he would fly around the kingdom of Valis. It felt more expansive in this new world.

After some time, he flew back down onto a nearby street. He walked around, still observing the buildings. There was no one around.
Except two men, who left a nearby alley to follow the man. They crept behind the man for a couple minutes before someone finally spoke.
"Why are you two gentlemen following me?"
The well-dresded man turned to face the suspicious men.
"Hey man, you look pretty fancy. How about you give us everything you got on you, and we'll leave you alone." The first man spoke.
"And if you don't listen, we'll kill ya." The second man spoke, while brandishing a knife.
The three men stood in silence for what felt like forever.
The well-dress man started to chuckle. "Do you two men not know who I am?"
"Then who are ya?" The two men asked in unison.
"I am King Valis." He stood there, and took off his knight-like crown to show them.
The 2 men snickered. "King Valis? That's some stupid ass name. We're supposed to know you?" The 2 men then burst into laughter.
Valis slid his crown back on, then rose a few inches off the ground. "What a shame, I was going to spare you two gentlemen, but you had to insult me."
The two men continued in laughter.
"Alright then, I gave you two a chance." In an instant, Valis flew towards one of the men and struck him in the abdomen."
"-Glurk~" Valis' arm pierced right through the second man. Valis took his arm out of the man's stomach, then he pummeled him in the face. The man soared down the street and crashed into a stop sign.
Terrified as to what he had just witnessed, the first man spoke, "Oh shit! Look man I'm sorry! I'll leave you alone! I'll forget about this, just spare me please!" The remaining man desperately pleaded with his life to Valis.
Still silent, Valis flew towards the man and took ahold of his neck. "I already gave you a chance." The two shot straight up into the air.

"Let go of me! Let go of me!" The man was struggling to speak as he was trying to hit Valis. But Valis continued to rise hundreds of meters into the air. The man was powerless.
Valis then came to a stop. "Such a beautiful night, isn't it? Good thing you get to see a beauty like this as your last." Valis grabbed the man with each arm on his shoulder.
Valis' eyes lit up with a pure white light in each pupil.
"No man! Please don't kill me! I'm so sorry! The man started to sob.
Two bright, white, light beams generated from Valis' eyes.
He affixed his laser-vision onto the man's waist. Going from right to left, he very slowly, sawed right through the man.
The sky was disrupted with screams and cries as the man was being cut in half. "Please stop! It burns! It burns!" He could barely speak as blood started pouring from his mouth.
"Please! It burns! I don't wanna die! The man continued to plead.
Valis finally got to the left side of his waist. The man's legs fell clean off, fell lower into the sky below them. Blood poured out and intestines fell from the man's top half, and into the night sky.
Still silent, Valis had looked into the barely-alive, man's eyes.
"Pl -glurk~" The man paused to cough up more blood that was violating his esophagus. He looked as white as paper. "Please, don't let me die."

Valis had let go of the man's shoulders.
