Chapter 73 - Is she safe

He took a few steps backward from her, staring intensely at her.

Old sage walked to her and held her. Her entire body was hot.

She was the longest he had used the infernal Torture on.

She looked at his neck where she was sure he burnt him but only his turtleneck shirt was burnt. There wasn't any mark.

Old sage helped her to get up. She was surprised that she could still get up after the insane weakness she had felt.

She looked him in the eye and he could not stop staring at her.

She found this strange and quickly looked away.

" Give her some days to recover "... Old sage said to Alvah. He cared for his granddaughter and won't let her work when she wasn't okay.

Alvah didn't answer, he could only nod.

Vida looked at him again, and he couldn't stop staring. She frowned a little.

" Grandpa, let's go now. I'm not feeling too well ".

She lied. The only reason why Alvah was staring at her was because it was his first time of healing someone without having contact with the person.

He didn't believe he would be able to but tried and it worked.

For the amount of time that he tortured her. She definitely would have injured even physically but he was healing her in the process.

And he made sure to complete it before she left.

.....

She laid down on the bed, looking at the ceiling.

"I can't believe I lost"... she said with teary eyes.

She always told herself, just because she was a girl doesn't mean she has to succumb. Then again he was an infernal, she had no chance of winning.

"He would definitely come to ask when we would begin our training. I'll go to him first".

As she walked out of the room she heard two people discussing.

"Thank you for not harming her. She just wants to prove that she is tough and not weak".

She was shocked to her spine. "What does he mean by not harming me?.... did he have more skills up his sleeve?".

" That thing, how did?.. what did you to do her?"....

"The infernal torture"

He helped him say the word.

"What is that?"...

" I can't tell you. But if vida is able to, your luck"... He looked in the direction where she was standing.

She was exposed.

She came out from her supposed to be hiding spot.

" Vida are you okay?".... old sage asked getting up from his seat to help her.

"I'm okay"... she replied with a grin.

Alvah wondered why she was acting like she was still injured.

Is she doing this so she wouldn't teach me?.. he thought within.

He walked with her to the living room. She sat opposite Alvah.

"You are okay"... he said to her.

She herself wondered why she was okay. The pain she felt was intense, she never believed that she would get up the same day.

" When would you start his training?"... old sage asked her breaking her thoughts.

"Tomorrow"... she replied quickly.

"What?... old sage was shocked. But you haven't recovered yet".

I'm fine grandpa, I'll hurry up with his training so he could go back to where he belongs.

What was she doing? Alvah thought.

I'll take, two... three months.

Three months will be okay for your training.

She looked at old sage, he acted strangely.

" I need to sleep "... Alvah said walking out of the room. It was just five in the evening.

"Why did you agree to three months grandpa?".

" because something is supposed to happen but it's taking time".

Her mind had drifted to her and Alvah confessing their love to each other. She cringed at the thought of it.

So she thought to clear things up for him.

"Grandpa I'm not..."

"Please buy me some time, if this doesn't happen now, it might happen somewhere on his way back which is dangerous".

She was left totally confused.

"Wait what exactly is supposed to happen?"

" I can't tell you now but when it happens you may understand okay. Go rest for your training tomorrow".

She sighed and walked to her room.

When she got there, a flashback of how he pleaded for her to quit made her mad at herself.

" He pleaded for me to quit. Does this mean that if grandpa didn't tell him to go easy on me he might actually have killed me ".

" Oh my God... she exclaimed.

I'm starting to think I'm the one who needs the training and not him".

.....

"It's been eight months and Alvah has not returned.

It's long enough for Tartarus to come looking for him".

Zillah was worried sick for Alvah. She would only relax because she knew if she was okay he was okay.

....

" I doubt Azazel isn't looking for me. Who knows he must have gone to Elysian to meet Zillah.

But he can't get in. The Celestials are there, they'd protect her. But what if she is outside, uncle would be there, but he can't help her and what if he isn't there".

"Is she safe".

"Who is he referring to?"...

Vida who was eavesdropping heard everything Alvah said.

"Does he have a soulmate already?. Is she the reason why he is doing all this?.

No!.., maybe it's his sister or a friend".

She concluded with this and left.

She actually went to him to ask if he could teach her after he was done with the training.

He healed her like she never experienced any pain so she can't explain what she felt but she was curious to know what and how he did it.

The only thing she could tell is that the skill was of fire so she hopes she can perform it too.
