Alvah watched the old man leave the room.He had a sleepless night thanks to what had happened. But he had to at least rest his eyes. He was seated in the living room before the old man arrived.
" You're up early?". He asked Alvah walking into the room.
"Yes", Alvah replied in a flat tone.
" I just wanted to ask a question, concerning the people who Influenced you, of what energy are they?".
"Air", Alvah replied sitting upright, getting interested.
" Perfect ". The old man couldn't be any less happy.
Alvah asked, "Why do you ask?".
" I think your six months training will soon end. Give me a week and we'll resume your training. Maybe I could take your advice and rest for a week". He smirked.
" But stay here don't go anywhere, I need to watch you within this period".
He nodded lightly.
One week turned into two weeks. On the first day of the third week Alvah asked, " What happened why did it take two weeks?". as he was curious and sort of impatient.
" I don't understand, you told me to take a week break and I told you I'm taking a week to frain".
Alvah paused for a minute and then laughed.
"Come in". He told Alvah. For the first time since he got here, Alvah saw the inside of the old man's room. It was filled with books and of different size. The only barely free space was his bed and how to get to it.
" I should call you old sage shouldn't I". He asked the old man looking around his room. Judging from what he is seeing, he is a sage.
The old man laughed, " sure you can ". With a curious intent, Alvah asked. " Why do you have all this books?".
" I dedicated the rest of my life to this, the only one who benefited from my wisdom was my grandson. I didn't want him to end up like me so I let him go, besides, he's got other duties to take care of".
"What other duties?". Alvah asked with a creased brow.
" Nothing". He responded quickly.
" You speak highly of your grandson". Alvah said ignoring his previous unanswered question.
" Why shouldn't I, maybe if you both meet, you would understand. But he's kind of reserved compared to my grand daughter".
" She's looking for the perfect one who matches her. I and my grandson persuaded her to get married but she always rejected all suitors. Not that she has a flaw in her beauty".
"Status?". Alvah asked. " What status?", the old man asked confused. "Status?" Alvah repeated.
" Forget that". He decided to chang the topic. "Sit down", he indicated for him to sit.
Alvah sat on the chair pulling it closer to the bed where the man sat.
" How did you get possession on all this books?" This was his first question as it bothered him, he was beginning to become suspicious of him.
Nothing he said. " I couldn't have access to abundant knowledge". Was his reply.
He came back to the situation at hand, and why he had called Alvah in.
"Air, if I'm correct is like nothing. Somehow it always finds a way to be present. I don't know if you are getting me but If for any reason you are pure at the moment, it's thanks to the influence of air in you, luckily it's of pure energy. Your power of fire long time have wanted to get rid of it but like I said it's presence is everywhere thanks to it's state of matter".
" A single sense of air in a stuffed area, suddenly leads to hope, survival, life. The air is your neutralizer but the same way it influenced you, you influenced that person but yours is greater".
"I will get you to use air to neutralize and balance your energy. Don't know if we could start today, should we?"
"Yes", he replied for Alvah.
" The sea is supposed to help you greatly. I should have told you to begin balancing whilst you were there calming your spirit".
" It should probably have worked since you were excreting heat, or was it working.
Yes, your energy was depleting which means it was working but thanks to my mistake of telling you to ease the anger, you kept on renewing it".
" The air pressure at the sea is greater which had an effect quickly. But there is no way your energy wouldn't fight back to renew.
"So we will".... "take me to a mountains bottom where the pressure is lower than that of the sea for slow and steady absorption", Alvah completed".
"Absolutely" the old sage concord with a wide smile.
"I would take us". Alvah offered. " How will we get there?". the old sage asked.
Alvah smirked, he stood up holding the old sage's hands and teleported with him to a mountain.
When they arrived Alvah asked,
" I hope your fire would be strong enough to keep you warm if you get cold?".
"You"... he muttered under his breath. Alvah smiled and said " I'm here, don't worry".
He sat down, incorporating the air into himself. The old man sat down and smiled at Alvah.
Alvah stayed there with the old sage for two weeks.
The four months training had expired. After two weeks, they went back home.
Before his energy would begin renewing, he told Alvah to take a day rest and resume his training in the sea
Alvah did this part on his own, the old man only visited.
And because his energy had sensed that it was being submerged, they fought each other.
He stayed there for three weeks and more. It was a battle between different energy and power.
Record of everything, Alvah ended his training in five months. Old sage told him to have a month rest before returning.
Alvah told him that he wishes to learn combat from whoever he chooses for him.
The old man laughed asking him, " don't you have to go back".
He said to the old sage " you have already ignited a vibe in me to learn to combat. Judging from this you never give up, till you get what you want, I bet your student is the same".
" Sure is, but has a bit of temper". "Temper", Alvah repeated.
" I will send for your teacher, after this one month she will be here, depends, she's not really close to me".
