Chereads / Elysian vs Tartarus / Chapter 64 - Day 2

Chapter 64 - Day 2

Alvah went in for meditation, he stayed a few metres away from the house.

The night didn't stop the old man from staying awake until he returned.

Alvah started his meditation by seven and lasted till ten. After series of checking up on him, he decided to stop him for the day, but when he came outside he was gone.

"Where could he be?", he asked himself.

He looked around, but found Alvah no where. He decided to check the sea side.

When he got there. There was no sight of him, turning around to leave, he heard something, when he turned around, someone was coming out from the water.

He keened his eyes to see clearly as it was night, he saw Alvah coming out, he rushed over to him.

"What happened?, why did you do that?", he asked worriedly, scanning his body.

Alvah laughed hard. The old man walked into the water. He placed his hand just on the surface on the water, " where am I?", he asked Alvah jokingly. " The water is hot".

He up looked at him. "I'm okay". Alvah replied to his indirect question of are you okay?.

He touched his forehead, his temperature was normal. " Why are you always burning?". he asked him curiously.

" I am emitting out my dark energy which is mixed with fire how would I be normal?" he asked the old man back.

" I was even thinking if you could meditate in water, here you are heating up the sea", the old man chuckled.

"Let's go in".

....

" Why are you bothered about me getting married?", Della asked Adalyn.

Adalyn wiped her tears away, " I want to sleep" she said to her looking away. " Talk to me". Della persuade.

She ignored her. Della touched her sister's head, and grinned. She laid down and slept beside her.

....

Morning,

" I don't think this is helping, I should go straight into equating my energy".

Alvah said this after countless times of burning up.

" As long as your mind doesn't affect the balancing, I'm okay". The old man agreed.

" Now, try releasing both your energy, and at the same time". Alvah after a period of silence, he released his energy, the old man saw a white and a red flame excerning from him.

But the red flame was stronger which was where the dark aura was coming from.

"Stop". he ordered. " I can see that your pure energy is quite pure". " I was influenced by a few". He replied.

" Okay, you've got a lot of secrets Alvah". " Like I said before, I need your mind. You told me you wanted the pure energy to be greater. But if you were to choose from both, which would you pick".

Alvah couldn't answer.

" Okay, you would have a conflict between both energy. I don't know how that would work but you would try".

Alvah asked, " Is this the stage where you result to anything to see if it works?".

" We haven't gotten to that". Was his reply. Do you still wish to learn to combat?". he asked looking at him.

"Why not?". Alvah agreed. " I'll use six months to get this training over with, and after that, you would meet a new teacher".

" Six months, he repeated in shock, that's too much". "You're too much", the old man said to him.

"Go get some food". He said walking inside the house. Alvah followed after.

They both had lunch together and asked questions. " What if the conflict doesn't work?". He couldn't ignore this.

" We have options", Was he reply. We'll end your training now, you need to rest, I don't want you to be weak".

Alvah's sequential training went down the drain as nothing worked. Three months passed with no progress of neutrality.

Alvah never complained nor argued with the old man's training. This forced the old man to find new methods to help him.

One day, he had caught the old man looking soo exhausted and weak, but when the man is around him, he looked Soo strong.

Alvah was asleep when the man knocked on his door.

" Are you doing well?". Alvah asked the man, leading him to take a seat on the couch. " I'm just stressed out thinking".

"You should rest". He advice him and relating to his age.

"You". The old man looked at him, " don't discouraged me, Don't. He warned.

" I'm not, but you are someone's grandfather, I don't want to be the reason for your bad health".

" I don't have much living for, I would be the happiest man if I get to solve your problem".

Alvah felt remorseful towards the man, ' a man at this age should live peacefully till his death but here I am causing him distress'.

" Is it okay if you take a month break?". Alvah suggested.

" And cost you a month of training, I can't do that", he rejected the idea.

"Teacher". Alvah shouted.

"Alvah". He shouted back. Alvah looked at him confused. "You should stay alive not stress yourself, I just met you and you choose to do this much for me, I see you, you are fatigued because of this".

" I'm only tired, You are suffering". He explained. This triggered Alvah's emotions.

" You came this far seeking for something in particular, I've spent three months with you and they are not wasted. Why do you go ahead with all the training I give to you although they aren't working".

Alvah was quite. " Because you need help, you want a solution don't you?". He asked rhetorically.

" I wouldn't cost you your last days". Alvah said angrily. " This is one of my happy moments in my lasts days". He said to Alvah standing up although not up to his height.

" So you think I've lived with anyone for the times I chose to live here, you are the first in ten years after I forced my grandson to stop visiting and spying over me. I want to make you my greatest achievement".

" At least for the six months that I promised you, let me keep to that promise, I assure you would make it".

" I loved the few months I stayed with you and how you believe in me to help you. Your efforts would never be in vain".

" If this remaining three months ends without you getting what you came for, I would release you, you can choose to go ahead with the combat training instead".

" I actually came to inquire something from you, but I think the mood here is too tense. I would meet you tomorrow in the living room".
