Yang Jingshen didn't pay any heed to the slightly strange gazes directed his way and confidently followed the staff personnel before sitting down on one of the empty chairs. Gu Zhen also followed him, and after inquiring if she wanted some refreshments, he politely declined the staff member's offer.
The two of them settled in place, but it took a while longer for the other auditionees to lose interest in him. Some looked at him scornfully, while the others were cautious. Some were uneasy, and the others simply didn't pay any attention. But none of them looked envious in the slightest.
Not that Yang Jingshen felt surprised. After all, in the eyes of the majority here, he was anything but a threat, despite his recent popularity.
"Really– isn't this too much?" Gu Zhen finally mouthed at him even as she stared straight ahead at the bland white wall in front of them.
"What?"
"You know what I mean– your outfit."
