"One more beer and a plate of beef skewers to this table." The middle-aged wife of the stall owner shouted as she put down the plate of skewers and the two beers she carried in her hands.
She then wiped her sweat using a corner of the slightly dirty apron she was wearing and moved over to another table, still carrying a plate of fried peanuts. Wang Zhou leaned away a little, unconsciously wrinkling his nose at the smell of oil mixed with sweat wafting out of the woman's body.
He then eyed the plate of skewers in front of him and his eyes involuntarily moved over to the stall owner, who was grilling the meat on bamboo sticks. The man was wiping off sweat pouring from his forehead with his hands before wiping the said hands on an apron that must have been originally white in color, but now showed a hue closer to a slightly muddy brown.
