Her mouth turned agape the moment she saw a huge helicopter waiting for her on the helipad. The main motor blade of the helicopter created strong winds which swayed Celestine's hair.
Timothy then got off the helicopter wearing a white button-down shirt and black trousers. His hair is still looking perfect amidst the strong gust of winds.
The moment he saw Celestine, his mouth curved upwards as he made his way to her.
"I'm glad you accepted my invitation," Timothy had to raise his voice due to the loud noise coming from the helicopter in order to be heard by Celestine who was looking extremely gorgeous with her hair swaying back and forth.
Celestine smiled a little when Timothy stretched his hand forward and held hers. It was not a romantic type of holding hands, rather, it was to prevent her from getting hurt while the intense wind is going on.
She darted her eyes on his strong arms clutching her arms. Physically, Timothy has the physique of totally being capable of protecting someone.
The distance traveled on the helicopter would have taken hours on the road. After only an hour of a helicopter ride, they arrived at a fancy restaurant situated on a mountain top.
As soon as Celestine and Timothy arrived, the staff immediately led them to their table. There aren't any other people around which seemed pretty odd to Celestine.
"Why aren't there other diners?" Celestine asks while Timothy pulled a chair for her while she sat down.
Timothy walked onto the adjacent chair to Celestine and sat down, he smiled sweetly at her. "I rented out the entire place for tonight," He simply replied which made Celestine smirk.
The restaurant has an incredibly high ceiling with huge glass windows on each wall. The night city lights can be seen on the windows surrounding them. At the other end of the restaurant, a musician is playing soft violin music which sets the ambiance.
There is a huge crystal chandelier hanging on the ceiling which creates glittering reflections inside the restaurant.
Their food arrived one by one which they silently ate during the entire course.
"Do you want to take a walk outside? The view is great," He offered as soon as they finished the last course of their meal.
Celestine wiped the corners of her mouth using the table napkin and carefully placed it aside. She looks at Timothy straight in the eye, sensing that he wanted her to say yes though he never said it.
A few minutes later, they are walking side by side on the way to the terrace. Celestine can't help but notice Timothy staring at her but would look away whenever she catches his eyes.
"What?" She asks, facing him. On the terrace, they are provided with a panoramic view of the city up above.
Celestine is quiet around people she just met. It actually takes her a while to warm up with others, years probably.
Timothy bows his head and has trouble maintaining eye contact with her, he softly chuckles, "You are just so beautiful." He said, trying his best to look at Celestine right in the eye.
"I see that you are the cheesy type," Celestine fixes her hair on the other side of her shoulder. Her remark makes Timothy chuckle and responds, "Yes but only for you,"
She shakes as she amusingly scoffs. Timothy fixes his posture, "Okay, I must admit. That was cheesy!" He said, pointing to a particular direction as if his remark was something there.
This time, Celestine covered her mouth and laughed. While she does so, Timothy observes her like honey is dripping from his eyes.
"I like you, Celestine." Timothy blurted out all of a sudden which made the expression on Celestine's face turn blank.
Noticing that Celestine went silent, Timothy takes the chance to continue with the speech he has prepared the moment he knew that Celestine agreed to this dinner date.
Timothy has always been a confident and domineering business man. He never lets anyone stomp on him. There is a good reason why he is the chosen inheritor of the Garcia Group of Companies and that is because of his intelligence that surpasses his ancestors.
He swallowed hard while they stood two meters from each other, "The very moment I first saw you, my once confident and strong heart skipped a beat. I could not help myself but look at you. No matter how hard I tell myself to stop staring but there I was, making my way on the vacant chair next to yours at Veronica's party."
Celestine concealed her heavy breathing while listening to Timothy's confession.
He continued, "I am not the one who beats around the bush which is why," Timothy got something inside his pocket, a velvet box.
Timothy opens the red velvet box and picks the ring. But everyone knows it is not an ordinary ring. It is an emerald cut white diamond that costs a billion dollars, the same engagement ring that was originally owned by his great great grandmother and is passed on to the every first male grandson of the generation.
Celestine takes a step back but is quick to hide her shocked expression, "What are you doing?" She asks in a stern voice.
"Would you like to be my life partner and marry me, Celestine?" Timothy asks Celestine who is still taken aback by his sudden proposal.
She took a step forward and furrowed her eyebrows at him, "Who proposes marriage on their first date?!" she annoyingly asks.
"Only me," Timothy responded confidently while his eyes glistened under the moonlight.
Celestine smirked, "You don't mean that. In the coming days, you will realize that I am not someone who you would want to marry. I'm sorry, Timothy." Celestine was about to leave him but he said, "Wait," She turned around to hear what he was about to say.
"At least allow me to prove myself worthy of your affection, Celestine." Celestine does not want her heart to get moved by his actions but Timothy sounded desperate.
