Something was wrong.
I was not sure of what, but gut instinct was telling me that I should be on alert. And believed or not, even the weather was whacked.
The kids were awoken by the loud sounds of thunder. They both cuddled against me as we listened to the thunderstorm that was happening outside. Even Fall was in the room, on the bed near the door.
I could hear him growl. It was so soft that the kids did not pick out the sound. However, I did. As my kids were looking at the flashes of lightning that were happening outside, me and Fall were looking at the door, waiting for whomever that was making the greyhound growl in warning.
Fall stopped at the same moment the thunderstorm ended. The dog looked at me as if he was telling me something. I pat his head to reassure him that I was okay. There were a lot of things Duncan was not telling me, but he made sure that I understand why Fall should be with us.
