"Twit∼ twit∼"
Woosh!
The singing of the birds and the sounds of nature went to Kain's ears as Kain twitched.
"Hey, look at a skeleton?"
"Is it dead?"
"Dumb, of course, yes!"
Suddenly, voices in an unfamiliar language passed through his ears. Kain opened his eyes, but for some reason, he felt like his eyes were already open.
Three young men in strange clothing appeared in his vision, looking at him as if they saw unbelievable things.
Kain was suddenly alerted and immediately asked. "Who the heck are you? What are you doing in my house?!"
The young men became surprised and began talking in an unfamiliar language, but Kain understood for some unknown reason.
"It talked!?"
"Can't you understand what it is saying?"
"Stupid, it asks who we are and what we are doing inside its house."
A fat young man named Pace walked forward with an ax in his hand, smirking, "How about we kill it? It is just a skeleton without a weapon. It should be easy."
"Wait, hey!" A skinny young man named Lupi held the fat young man's shoulder and said, "It can talk, right? Maybe it can tell us where its treasure is hidden, and we will be rich!"
"Stupid! How could a skeleton have a treasure, and if he had, why would he tell us?"
A young man called Saba, who looked like a delinquent with blond hair, slapped the skinny young man's head.
"Skeleton? Treasure? Are they crazy…" Kain muttered but suddenly paused when his gaze passed through them.
A tree taller than the wall, a pulsing sun, and a bizarre bird with four wings stood on the branch.
'Skeleton? Treasure? A crazy people…?'
As if thunderstruck in his mind, Kain finally put the piece together.
"What in the hell!?" Kain quickly stood up. Just as he was about to rub his temple, he caught a glimpse of his hands.
"What in the hell again!"
The fat young man suddenly swung the ax, sending Kain flying.
"Oh, that surprises me!" He exclaimed, wiping his sweet.
The two young men looked at him weirdly.
"What? I thought he was going to attack us!"
"Grrr…" Kain groaned. He could hear a cracking sound around his body.
"Damn it! What are you doing?" Kain weakly asked.
'What the heck happened to me? Why am I a skeleton? A prank on a TV show? Am I hallucinating?'
Many questions emerged from his mind. As he became more confused, Kain didn't expect one day something strange would happen to him. He was just a normal person with no enemies or friends. He doesn't have anything noteworthy on him.
He was a loner...
"Should we already kill it?" Pace said, as he looked at his friend.
"Yeah, we don't need to waste time. I can't wait to eat our hunt." Saba responded as he raised the corpse of the boar.
"But... the treasure..." Lupi seemed dissatisfied as he kept murmuring while glancing at Kain with unwillingness.
"Shut it!" The young blond man bonks his head.
Hearing their conversation, Kain felt afraid as the fat young man who grinned approached him while rubbing the ax, like a grim reaper who was ready to take away his life.
"Wait! Let's talk!"
"Talk with a skeleton? I heard that you hate those of us who are alive, and perhaps you want to buy time, so no, no." The fat young man shrugged and shook his head, seeming determined to kill him more.
"Wha-how about treasure? I can tell you where my treasure is! In Raftel, I hid it in Raftel!" Kain quickly said, sounding desperate, like he was begging for his life, which was true, and he didn't like it.
However, a beggar couldn't be a chooser.
Seeing he was not stopping, Kain's gaze wandered, trying to find something that could help him even a bit, until his gaze dropped on the boar.
At that moment, a dark green holographic screen appeared in front of him.
[You look at it, and it looks back at you. The soul felt terrified, so it chose to submit.]
[Do you want to summon it?]
Kain put all his strength in his mouth as he shouted, "YES!"
The fat young man was surprised, and he suddenly felt an unease in his heart.
"Hurry, urgh!"
"H… help…!"
Pace turned around, and what he saw took him aback.
A rampaging skeleton boar with a small green flame in its socket, chunking his friend as everything was useless against it.
An unstoppable beast!
"Damn, let go of my friend!" The fat young man charged at the rampaging bull even though he was overwhelmed with fear, but friendship was much stronger than fear.
However, it was already too late. They are already dead, leaving only their last word.
"My treasure..."
"Mommy,"
Meanwhile,
"Is that my summon?" Kain wondered as his jaw almost dropped from shock.
'System, are you there?'
Too bad the system didn't respond.
An idea flashed in his mind, and he said, "Status..."
Then a dark green holographic screen appeared before him again, showing his status.

"Wow… This is like a game…"
Seeing this, various emotions surge in his heart, happiness, anxiety, etc. Kain was just a normal student without purpose in life, besides staring at a paper that he didn't even know could help his future, and one day he suddenly found himself in the forest with three strange people.
Loneliness was now overcome by overflowing happiness. Kain couldn't help but laugh.
'Am I a protagonist?'
He then shook his head. Whether he's the protagonist or not, it doesn't make a difference.
"How about the boar status? Can I see it?"
As he was trying to look at the boar, he found it nowhere to be seen. Then, as he was about to turn his head to the right side, a big skeletal face greeted him.
"Oh, my god!"
The skeletal boar stood there like a statue.
"Status."

There was a difference between Kain and the boar's status.
The rank and the buff. As for weapon status, Kain could understand it as the boar couldn't use a weapon.
"So, you could get a five-status point every level up." With his chin on his finger, Kain muttered.
The boar leveled up, so it got five status points, which meant every level up could get five status points, and by looking at it, Kain concluded that the one who killed would be the only one who got the exp as there was no sharing function, but he didn't mind it.
"Hey, put the 5 points into defense... Oh, never mind."
Kain didn't know if the boar could understand what he was saying or if it even had intelligence, so in the end, he decided to put two points into strength and the remaining points into physical defense.
After a while, Kain gazed at the sky as he muttered, "What should I do now?"
"But first let's decide what to do with the body." Kain's gaze dropped to the body, whose limbs were scattered around as the grass soaked in blood. Kain felt nothing besides disgust. He didn't even know what kind of disgust it was.
Disgusted because it was disgusting or because they were living?
Eyes filled with horror. Even though they were dead, their emotions still lingered in their eyes. Just as he was about to touch one of them, the screen popped up.
[The soul felt terrified; they wanted to flee. However, they were chained by their grudge, not allowing them to go to the afterlife.]
"Grudge?"
[The soul wants you to kill the beast that kills them, and then they will become your eternal servant.]
"Kill?" Kain looked at the boar, who was still standing unmoving, and green flames in his eyes socket flickered, "Kill him? No way, he was the one who saved me and you three who were trying to kill me. So, it's better you suffer in hell!"
[The soul, knowing that you will not fulfill their wishes, becomes angry and terrified as the gate of hell has opened for them.]
[Do you want to summon it?]
"Huh?" Kain became confused.
"So, I can still summon them?"
[Undead with souls can develop intelligence comparable to humans and have a higher chance of rising in rank than normal undead.]
[Note: This is only available to units.]
"So, can I still summon undead without a soul, but they will act like normal undead who work on instinct? Wait... what about the normal undead? Can they still grow intelligence?"
[Undead without a soul can grow intelligence by raising their rank, unlike undead with a soul who can grow intelligence by any normal means, such as teaching them or learning.]
"Oh... but who are you?"
The system didn't respond to Kain's sudden question.
"…"
"Summon undead!"
Skeletons slowly climbed out of the corpse; unlike the boar, their eyes don't have flames; they are just empty sockets.
"The flame must be the soul, right?" When he thought about it, Kain touched his eye socket, but he didn't feel anything. "I didn't see my appearance yet. Let's find a river first."
Kain then rode the boar as the three skeletons followed behind.
