Klaus didn't know himself, how or where the idea to give up the first thought that came into his head came from. Seeing the reaction from Arsha as she paused, remained at the spot for seconds which felt like hours was enough to tell him all he needed to know.
"Okay, maybe that was a little wild," Klaus said as he rubbed his palm against the back of his head awkwardly and avoided eye contact with Arsha. But then he noticed she was not having any of it at all and to his surprise, he saw his childhood bestfriend leave him on the spot and began to walk away.
"Hey, wait. Come on... Ash... Hold on!!" Klaus called after her and could see she wasn't planning on doing any of that at all. As a matter of fact, seeing her make a sharp turn, he had to pick up the pace and run after her. Although he was well aware that the scene could be very well misconstrued to be something else, in this case, he wasn't bothered as much to protect his name at the expense of getting through to Arsha.
