"Wow!" Luna let out a smile, admiring Nathan's intelligence. "This is really impressive, Master."
Nathan smiled at Luna's compliment. "Is that true?"
He tried to read the description of his new skill. What he got was exactly what he expected.
Nathan had to try it directly to ensure the two skills could be used simultaneously. It was not explained how much mental healing effect the skill provides. That's why he needed to play it safe.
"Okay, Luna, increase this skill level to the maximum."
"Okay."

[Level 5: Passive Mental Healing V.]
[400 Skill Points spent]
"How big is the effect of Mental Healing V, Luna?" Nathan turned to Luna.
He smiled at the confused response of the AI girl. "It's okay. It seems that the information hasn't been updated in your head? Let's try it directly."
"For some skills, the effect will be noticed when the level is raised. So maybe in a situation like this, you can try and experience it for yourself."
Nathan nodded. "Of course, Luna. Thanks for explaining the system so clearly to me. You helped me a lot."
"What's the worst that could happen if I try this skill right now, Luna?"
"Hmmm," she murmured, studying Nathan with a concerned expression. "Even though the Self Mental Healing skill can assist you in overcoming the negative effects of the Berserker Form, there is still the chance of you losing consciousness ..."
"Ah..." Nathan nodded. "Yes, I understand." He waited years for this day to come, he couldn't resist the slightest bit of trying, but Nathan couldn't act recklessly.
"I should immediately get a Hunter license and do a Hunter hunt. I think that's the best way for now." He added.
Luna looked at Nathan curiously and asked, "The Hunter Association is open 24 hours, right? Do you plan to go out now?"
Nathan smiled broadly and replied, "Yes, they are open all the time. But I don't usually leave the house, and I'd like to tell Edna about this first awakening. Do you think we could do it tomorrow morning instead?"
Nathan smiled, then walked over to the bed and threw himself on it.
"Why am I so exhausted, like I'm too lazy to do anything? Is this the influence of the Sloth, Luna?"
Luna slowly nodded at Nathan. "Yes, Master," she said. "I don't think Self Mental Healing will be able to neutralize the effects of Sloth. So, you'll just have to adjust."
Luna drifted nearer to Nathan, settling on the crescent moon that forever followed her. She peered down at him and inquired, "Master, would you like to hear something critical that could be of use to you in the foreseeable future?"
Nathan opened his eyes, lifting himself up and leaning back as he spoke. "Is it about the one thing that still haunts my mind? Nicolas Gilson, most likely my parents' murderer?" Nathan paused for a moment, his eyes narrowing as he tried to recall something. "I've heard that name before, it's familiar to me, but I can't remember it clearly..."
Nicolas Gilson has a very close relationship with Mr. Devon Gardner, your father." Luna replied.
The crescent moon that Luna was sitting on moved swiftly to the right and left. After that, a digital screen appeared near the AI girl.
From the digital screen, a photo appeared. Although it looked different, Nathan could still identify him as Nicolas Gilson.
Feelings of hatred and anger immediately rose in his heart. Nathan frowned and clenched his fists.
"This man, Nicolas Gilson. He was the one who was at the same party as Mr. Devon in the past." Luna continued.
"The same party?" A memory flashed in his head. "That's right. I remember that name from a story my father told me long ago."
Luna floated back to the other side. The image on the digital screen turned into a magnificent building. After a few moments of frowning, wracking his brains, and trying to remember where he had seen it before, Nathan finally recognized the building.
"CEHA - Columbus Elite Hunter Academy."
Nathan swallowed. CEHA was a reasonably elite academy in this region. It was an academy that prepared hunters who wanted to get a license to enter Yunatea. Many talented children from famous families are educated at that academy.
Very soon, Nathan would also have to choose an academy to attend. However, he never once thought about choosing CEHA.
"Nicolas Gilson is one of the teachers at the CEHA Academy," Luna explained.
"When is the academy reopening for the new school year?" Nathan asked.
"In one month's time," Luna replied. "The entry requirements are that students should already be at level 50, and they must pass a series of tests too."
"I see," Nathan nodded.
Nathan was silent for a moment. The frown on his forehead really showed as he was deep in thought. "Level 50 in one month?"
Nathan swallowed. "How many monsters do I have to kill to reach such a high level, Luna?"
"Hmmm... If I calculate the average... Around 800?"
Nathan smiled, "Looks like this is going to be the busiest month of my life.... 800 monsters? Sounds challenging."
"But, is it doable?" Nathan looked at Luna.
"You don't need to worry, Master. Because you have two blessings at once. Something like this is still within reach." She explained.
At that moment, footsteps could be heard from outside. Then there was a knock on the door at the other end of the room.
"Young master, are you asleep?" Edna's voice called him from behind the door.
"Edna?" Nathan immediately jumped off the bed and strolled into his wheelchair.
"Edna? Is there anything I can help you with?" Nathan answered, raising his voice slightly.
"May I come in? There's something I want to show you."
"Show me something?" Nathan was silent. He thought about whether to discuss everything with her or postpone it for tomorrow.
Luna floated in front of Nathan. "You are the only one who can see me. So you don't need to worry."
Nathan nodded. "Okay. Hmmm, you may come in, Edna."
The door opened. Edna peeked through the doorway. "Young master… Can you close your eyes for a moment, please…"
"Close my eyes?" Nathan reflexively did as Edna asked.
Edna's footsteps were heard approaching.
"Young master… I have a surprise for you."
Edna muttered quietly in front of him. Her scent could be smelled clearly from such a close distance.
"Happy birthday…"
Nathan opened his eyes. And Edna, with her long silver hair standing in front of him, with a cake and a candle in the shape of a 15.
"Happy birthday to you… Happy birthday to you…."
Edna finished singing the birthday song.
"I hope you will achieve whatever you wish. May health and blessings always be with you, too." Edna smiled warmly at him. Her body bent slightly to put the cake in front of him.
Nathan was still silent. It took him some time for a smile to appear on his face. "Thanks, Edna."
Edna had never forgotten to do this every year. However, never once did Nathan do something similar to her.
No! It was not that Nathan didn't care about her. Only, he never knew when Edna's birthday was. At least she never answered when he asked.
"I have one wish for you. Will you grant it, Edna?"
"Young master…." Edna looked surprised. "Sure. I will do whatever you wish. Say what I can do for you."
"Would you celebrate your birthday on the same day as me? Today."
Nathan felt a deep appreciation for all Edna had done for him; she had stayed by his side when his own family had abandoned him, providing him with care and even physical training.
Furthermore, Nathan had never known her real birthday, yet she had never left, even though she had the option to do so. He knew he had to give her more recognition, for she had become a part of his life, more so than those who were biologically related to him.
"Today is a special day for you. We can celebrate my birthday on another day. Now, please make a wish and blow out the candles, okay?"
Nathan took a deep breath. "Think of it as a gift I asked for on my birthday. I want you to blow out this candle with me."
"Hmmm, but this is a special day for you."
"Is the wish too heavy for you to fulfill, Edna?"
Edna was silent for a moment, then smiled and nodded.
"If it makes you happy."
Nathan smiled.
"Now say your wish, and we blow this candle together, okay?" She continued.
Nathan nodded, and he closed his eyes.
'Everything in my life suddenly changed completely. Too many things happened at the same time. What do I want to get this year?'
