Everything is so bright all of the sudden. I feel alive but I can't seem to see where I am because it is too bright.
I tried covering my eyes using my palm but it won't work. the light reflects from all directions. I also saw my palm was too bright.
Even closing my eyes has no effect the refraction of the light is too strong that all I see is a light yellowish color at eyes closed.
"Hey!"
huh? I hear someone.
out of nowhere, I heard a light switch click and the vision in my closed eyes started to darken pitch black. feeling relief, I open my eyes and saw a beautiful sight.
I am standing on what looks like the foundation of a grand mansion, with four elegant pillars without a roof. as I see a beautiful background of moving stars and a galaxy. The crazy thing is it's not just the space that I saw, as I look behind me I saw what seems to be a gigantic tree the size of more than one planet. it doesn't feel real at all but no matter how I beat myself I can't seem to wake up in this dream.
"Beautiful Isn't it?"
I look back and I saw a girl standing, she is gorgeous.
she has a very fancy colorful dress, I'd never seen anything like her before.
I mumble "huh, take about social class"
I tried hitting on her at some point.
"Excuse my beauty, you're the most beautiful and all. but where exactly am I?" I asked her
she smirk at me.
"Can't believe what you see right?" she replied with a soothing voice.
"Well yeah, it's like I am in heaven."
.....
"I'm not in heaven right???" I replied back with an anxious face.
she smiles.
"No silly, you still have to decide where to go first" she replied
I tried to close our distance and held both of her hands.
she is warm, I felt her warm.
I performed another sweet talk.
"Miss before I decide that matters, may I request your name?"
she smiles.
"Okay, my name is Tallah, I am the keeper of the realms. I deliver good souls to the afterlife, while I transport poor souls to a magical world and relive their past life differently." she introduced herself elegantly
"Tallah, so you're like the goddess of the stars. Woah..."
Now it makes sense, no matter how I force myself to wake up, it just won't work. I even tried calling Jesus Christ's name and prayers still wouldn't work. I became violent physically and I still couldn't wake up.
I remember that time clearly when I was back in that cockfighting event as if it was just a second ago.
I died.
"So miss Tallah, what exactly is the difference between the afterlife and the magical world?" I asked her
So apparently the afterlife is a term used for reincarnation where you can start your life brand new in an uncertain world, she can't even tell me what lies beyond the afterlife. all she can tell is that it is the world where past trauma and despair will be no more as you will be starting your life from zero. meanwhile in the magical world basically every living soul is toxic.
"Miss Tallah, it is okay for me to go to the afterlife?" I asked her
"I'm sorry to tell you this Rene but your soul is too corrupted poor roosters. you massacred 99 of your roosters for sports"
I kneel down and facepalmed.
I never thought the day would come when my hobby would come back and haunt me, my papa was right all along.
"Screw my life"
"Rene I'm happy to announce that you are having a partner"
I am not a tiny bit excited about having a partner. well, at least she is being considerate of my well-being as expected from a beautiful goddess.
As she introduce this called "partner" I was not in the mood to listen to her at all. I've been thinking if is it possible that my papa is in the magical world. Just the thought alone is bothering me.
*faint claw step noise*
and there it is I saw a chicken.

HUH???? said, Rene

"Miss Tallah, who's chicken is this?"
Tallah was awed and confused because I did not get all of her introduction. which is why she explains it to me again.
Apparently, the chicken was actually mine and the one that won my first ever cockfighting event. I get the feeling that the said chicken is glaring at me so much, it's like it has resentment towards me.
This chicken is going to be my companion in the magical world. and it so happens to be my chicken in the previous world.
"One last thing before I transport you two to the magical world, I can grant 1 wish to help you on your journey. it can be magic, a magical item, or even possession of yours back on earth" said the goddess"
it took me a long to think about what I wanted to get. apparently, the chicken had already said his wish and was about to be transported.
enchanting circles suddenly appear on the chicken's feet as he was sucked by the gigantic tree.
I was amazed at what I see.
"Yggdrasil, the world tree, the tree of life," said Tallah
"Some say the unripened fruits of the tree contain a different universe"
I heard her say that as I look back at the tree and thought how beautiful it is.
"Miss I know what I want," I said as I prepare myself to get sucked by the tree.
In a different world.
there was a child of a farmer with his housewife and they lived on the other side of the country. everything is peaceful, the father is feeding his magical birds while the mother is washing dishes the kid, on the other hand, is playing with his friends as he suddenly hit his head on the ground and cries.
at that moment the kid's memories from the previous world came.
"Luccione are you alright," the other parents said
"I'm sorry my son hit you, it was an accident" the parent is worried about me
"No it's fine, thank you for worrying about me," Luccione said
as I look at my bleeding hand I notice I become small. I look elsewhere all I see are greenery and few households.
that is when it clicks.
I am in the so-called "world of magic"
