Chapter 11 - Let Those Lowly Weaklings See the Consequences!

"Whose family's corpses are you going to hang?"

Arthur's eyes were filled with murderous intent when he heard the word 'family'. He couldn't stop the killing intent from leaking out of his body.

"A transcendent!" The moment they felt the aura, all the ruffians were shocked.

There was a trace of fear in Haus's eyes. However, after a brief moment of panic, Haus's expression returned to normal. He disdainfully said, "You think you can go against me just because you're a transcendent?"

"Let me tell you. I, Haussmann, am backed by Baron Spencer. As a transcendent, I believe that you should know the Baron's strength, right?"

"You wouldn't want to offend Baron Spencer, would you?"

Haus gave Arthur a prideful look.

"Since you're a transcendent, I'll let you go. Now hurry up and get lost. If you dare to disturb me again, don't even think about leaving Huska!"

Then, Haus made a throat-cutting gesture at Arthur. He didn't pay any more attention to Arthur and returned to the table, drinking with the other ruffians. The townspeople who had followed them were worried when they saw the conflict between Arthur and Haus.

Haussmann was supported by Baron Spencer and could receive the assistance of the Baron's guards at any time. Arthur could easily be mobilized by the Baron's dozen or so transcendents!

Since Arthur had offended Haus, they feared that he wouldn't have a good ending!

Seeing that Haus had sat down, they rushed forward and stopped Arthur in a panic.

"Honorable Sir, we know you want to help us, but Haus's power is too great!"

"He's not someone you can offend!"

"You should run! Once he holds a grudge against you, it won't be easy!"

"Even if you're a transcendent, you can't match with the Baron's power!"

The residents' eyes were filled with unwillingness, but they had no choice. Although Haus wasn't a transcendent, the power behind him was stronger than most transcendents could compare to.

In front of Baron Spencer, a lonely transcendent was no different from a weakling. If this kind-hearted outsider in front of them were to have a conflict with Haussmann...

They felt that another tragedy like Arthur's family might happen.

Though everyone was trying to stop him, Arthur had already decided. He had the people retreat to the back and slowly walked to the table.

Clatter!

With a relatively soft sound, everyone's pupils contracted.

Arthur grabbed Haus's neck, and he was lifted!

"This is..." The people behind Arthur shouted. Seeing Haus being lifted, the other drunk ruffians were all jolted awake!

"Put Sir Haus down!"

"You lowly being, do you plan to die?"

They surrounded Arthur and shouted angrily.

The townspeople were so shocked that their hearts almost jumped out of their chests!

"Sir, please put him down and escape!"

"When the Spencer family's deacons arrive, you won't be able to leave anymore!"

Anyone related to the Spencer family was like a god in the townspeople's hearts.

Arthur had offended Haus; he was indeed in big trouble now!

Once the deacons of the Spencer clan arrived, it would be too late for Arthur!

They looked out of the window anxiously. No one had arrived yet, so they kept persuading Arthur to leave.

"Go...Go and c-call… The deacons…" The ruffian tried his best to shout at the people behind him. They were all frightened by Arthur's murderous aura.

"H-Hurry…!"

In an instant, only Arthur and the ruffian were left in the tavern. Arthur tossed him to the side and closed his eyes, quietly listening to the footsteps around him.

After a while, a few people wearing deacon robes walked in. There were seven energy level one transcendents, along with a few ordinary guardians behind them.

Specifically, there were three mages and three knights, and their fighting habits differed somewhat.

"You're the transcendent who wants to help those people?" The leader of the deacons looked at Arthur with disdain. His attitude was somewhat arrogant as there were many other transcendents behind him. Evidently, he didn't take Arthur seriously at all.

"I'm asking you to return the land to the residents." Arthur said calmly.

"Return it? Hahaha…" The deacon sneered. "So you're saying that you're going to stand up for those people?"

"You might not know this, but the residents in this town offended Baron Spencer. You're just an ordinary transcendent, how dare you meddle in the affairs of the Spencer family?"

"I advise you to come over and apologize to me, and..." The man pointed to the unconscious ruffian next to him and continued, "Wake him up."

"Otherwise, you and your family's bodies will be hung here tomorrow."

The deacon pointed at the place where they hung the animal skin.

"What if I say no?" Arthur sneered. These people were arrogant and overbearing, bullying the weak. Furthermore, they distorted the truth. Their actions were worse than demons, and they wanted him to apologize?

"No? Hehe..." The deacon sneered.

He then shouted, "Capture him! Skin him, pull out his tendons, and hang him up tomorrow! Let those lowly weaklings see the consequences of resisting the Spencer family!"

The deacon leader wasn't concerned about Arthur at all. After all, he's just an outsider. How strong can he be?

Additionally, his team had six other transcendents, which was enough to kill Arthur a hundred times.

The six men charged at Arthur from different angles.

The people still watching covered their eyes in despair. Alas, yet another transcendent who wanted to stand up for them was about to fall. It was impossible for an energy level one transcendent to beat Baron Spencer's seven deacons.
