"Mi'er hasn't come home." Hua Mulan was getting worried as it was already half past ten in the evening, and her daughter Yang Mi hadn't returned home yet. She was supposed to arrive by nine in the evening.
Seeing her distressed look, her son Yang Haoran said, "Mom, calm down. She must be with her friends. I will contact them." He started contacting Yang Mi's friends. But they were unaware of her whereabouts.
Yang Haoran's expression turned grim. He picked up the car keys. "What happened to Mi'er?"
Hua Mulan waited for him to end the call, and when she saw his son's expression, she had a dreadful feeling in her heart.
"Mi'er is at her friend's place. I am going to pick her up." He lied to her, as he didn't want to stress her.
Hua Mulan's heart sank. She pulled Yang Haoran's hand and said, "You are lying to me. Mi'er usually didn't like to go to other people's houses."
Yang Haoran helplessly brings his mother with him in search of Yang Mi.
