The sword flew through the air with speed hitting the canyon walls. the florescent blue light lit up as a web of lighting blasted forward. A small chunk of rock from the canyon wall flew out and broke into pieces. The static popped and crackled as the sword disappeared.
Damon looked disappointed because he thought it would do more damage.
"well that's a pretty strong attack. those canyons are very tough to put a scratch on. the rocks they are made from are extremely resilient. I didn't think that attack would do anything. hearing monsoon Damon's initial thoughts changed.
Thinking back to how monsoon leveled an entire canyon area with one attack made him question just how powerful monsoon really was. "my attack felt powerful but yet only a small rock from the canyon was affected are these canyons really that tough."
Damon then walked over to the canyon wall and gave it a good punch that was infused with a ton of ki and just like monsoon said he wasn't able to leave a single scratch on it. he did a flurry of punches and nothing happened. the canyon wall didn't budge. not a single flake of dirt came off of it.
"ha, you're a long way off before you could break any of these canyons here with a physical attack. just stick to your regular training." monsoon said.
the day ended and Damon went back to the lodge exhausted. he slept for more than six hours and once he was up he began working on the clouds once again. he was drawn to the clouds more than anything. the complex power of the clouds intrigued him greatly, even more than his lightning. he thought it was because of monsoon. the way he shaped and condensed the cloud into a small ball in his hands and the power that came afterwards.
he created the cumulus cloud and began playing around with the shapes. the cumulus cloud was much different than the lighting or the drops of rain. it was so easy to control and shape. when dealing with his lightning even though he had been successful with shaping it into a few things it took great concentration and effort.
the cumulus cloud was far easier shaping. now that he knew it was multiple clouds and that the cumulus cloud main function was to be shaped. he felt he could do great things with it. those same white clouds in the sky that always seemed to be shaped as a person or object. those same clouds that people say oh that looks like two people fighting or that looks like my loved one looking down on me. those were the type of clouds Damon was using currently.
they were known as clouds with all types of shapes. this is why Damon was easily able to shape them. he mimicked monsoon's ball of clouds and threw it forward. the cloud hit the wall and puffed into a cloudy smokey substance and faded into the air. monsoon let out a burst of laughter. "ha, don't get ahead of yourself. those type of clouds are truly beyond easy to shape but it's power is one the most complex powers in existence and I'm not just saying that. I really mean it. out of all my power my clouds are my true strength. it's where the rain comes from. clouds can and are very complex in and out. you might have shaped the cumulus cloud but there wasn't a hint of power within it."
Damon didn't understand what monsoon meant. "what do you mean. the power I obtained from you has combined with ki. they both are one. I've been creating these clouds with my ki, I've been creating all of it with my ki and my ki has power so what do you mean there wasn't a hint of power within that attack." he questioned.
"wrong, the clouds and the rain has been a separate form of energy since you've had it. you're lightening is the only thing you gained through ki. through shields system you've been able to combine them creating demonic ki. however my cloud power is much more complex than that. I spent thousands of years perfecting it and using it to its greatest potential. adding ki to it will not weaponize it because you lack the know how and until you do you will never be able to use it the way you saw me use the cloud. however you will be able to do many other things with your creativity.
you can weaponize the cloud only when you understand how it works. in other words the make up of the clouds must be weaponized not the cloud itself. it'll be a while before you are able to do such a thing. knowing the make up and truly understanding it's complicity are two different things. in fact I urge you to learn the make up of everything." monsoon explained.
Damon digested everything Monsoon was telling him. he didn't know anything about the make up of any of his powers. instead of becoming disheartened about the cloud he became more intrigued.
"I don't know the complete make up of clouds, that's true but one thing I do know is it has moisture and with that. Damon paused for a moment as he gathered another small ball of clouds. I can use it to my advantage." he said as lighting generated from his forearm to his hand. it wrapped around the cloud and now it looked as if he was holding a small storming cloud ball that sparked electric currents but was yet very silent unlike the usual crackling sound.
Monsoon smiled. "even though he couldn't power the cloud itself fully he used an attribute the cloud does have to partially give power by jumpstarting it through his lightning. moisture and water is a hell of a conductor for plasma in the form of lightning. hmph now that's creativity at its finest. but I'm afraid that attack will be much weaker than the lighting water sword he created earlier. but that's a damn good try." he thought to himself.
Damon threw the ball towards the canyon wall and something him or monsoon didn't expect happened. it stuck to the wall as if it was gum while the electric currents smacked the wall continuously. small electric whips sprung from the ball of clouds and retracted. it repeated the same sequence over and over and didn't look like it was going to stop anytime soon. from the look of it the wall was unharmed as usual no matter how many times it was struck with lightening.
Damon then attempted to cancel it but instead the electric charge grew and a small explosion went off sending puffs of slow rising clouds everywhere and lightning that snapped.
"didn't see that coming." monsoon said internally.
Damon also didn't see it coming as well but he instantly got ideas of how such an attack could be useful. he had made great progress with all of his powers but one thing remained the same. his ki pool. even though the system wasn't responding with him while in the space he could tell how much ki it took to perform his newly learned attacks and knew his ki pool would be drained very fast once out of this space. while in the space his ki pool recovered very quickly but it would be a different story when he returned and he knew this more than anything.
He believed he found a way to increase his ki pool after figuring out energy was life and everything had a form of energy. he planned to test this out once he got back. Damon put his thoughts to the side and continued shaping and playing around with the clouds. he mainly focused on the cumulus cloud because he had a better feel with using it.
"hmmm. I wonder." Damon asked himself.
Cumulus clouds were puffy clouds that sometimes look like pieces of floating cotton and many other shapes. The base of each cloud is often flat and may be only 1000 meters (3300 feet) above the ground. The top of the cloud has rounded towers. When the top of the cumulus resembles the head of a cauliflower, it is called cumulus congestus or towering cumulus. These clouds grow upward, and they can develop into a giant cumulonimbus, which is a thunderstorm cloud.
Damon made a regular cumulus cloud. he had been making the cumulonimbus which was a storm cloud. so now his clouds were white and grey like monsoons. these clouds didn't bring rain but they could as well. he shaped the cloud into a flat circle at the top while leaving the bottom puffy. he then added more ki to it making it a little firm.
he tried hopping on to it and fell straight through. he was trying to see if he could ride on top but was failing miserably for over two hours and decided to call it a day and headed back in as he had become frustrated.
