vora finally swooped in again holding onto a purple orb coming from behind him attempting to push it into his back but was surprised as jolly swung his arm grabbing a hold of the orb in vora's hand. Jolly's new arm was bigger than vora's wolf claws and so when grabbing onto the orb his bulky fingers also clasped on to her hand as well.
vora's eyes squinted seeing this as she growled revealing her sharp teeth while a muffled explosion occurred in their hands. jolly felt nothing and gripped her hand tighter as black smoke floated from their hands. vora didn't attempt to get her hand free as jolly pulled his other arm back about to thrust his thorn lance. vora opened her mouth showing a silver ball of energy and Jolly's instinct quickly told him to let go and move out the way but he knew it was futile at this range and so he committed with his strike while attempting to bring forth roots from the ground in-between them for defense.
The lance hit nothing. vora had simply twisted her hips sideways just before it was about to hit her while releasing the silver ball that was no bigger than a tennis ball. Jolly's eyes widen feeling and seeing he missed his target. the roots were shooting up and had gotten in between them in time but they weren't strong enough as a silver light blinded him.

A white pod with a clear glass shielding opened as jolly sat up in a panic breathing heavily grabbing his arm and touching his body.
huff huff huff huff!
"I,I lost.damn it, if only I had a little more time. if only I could have matched her physical strength earlier. I had a plan I had it I had I had it he shouted making a fist.
Jolly's plan was to use all of the energy from vora he had stolen against her. the entire time he was sapping energy from her he could feel it inside him growing and was waiting for it to peak but then vora severed his energy stealing connection by damaging her arm. he still had enough to perform his plan but was waiting for the right opportunity. it was going to be a pincer type attack in his head that included bronco who he mentally told to stay out the fight until the right moment.
unfortunately it didn't go the way he saw it in his head.
"that last attack ripped right through my dark forest roots. I attempted to block and absorb it like I did in our very first fight but it was too powerful. I felt its power the second she opened her mouth."
" the ash covered ground didn't help much as she was too fast and never stayed in one area long. when I did have her I made the wrong move, as soon as I had her by her hand I should have trapped her with roots from below and she wouldn't have been able to dodge my last attack."
thinking about all the things he could have done better was really annoying to him.
"you're still learning how to really use your power. even though you lost you did go down swinging at least. you also learned a few things as well. experience is key and with that continuously everything will follow." shield says to him.
Just then two other pods were heard opening and sitting up in a similar way jolly did was steel and copper. all three of them looked at each other with face expressions that clearly showed they were upset and in deep thought. eventually they all got out the pods and shared their experience.
"this fucker used some type of afterimage clone ghost ability or some shit. it was very problematic but I gave him hell." steel explained to copper and jolly about fighting calvus.
"I eventually got the upper hand middle ways of my fight but she started using multiple color flames and each one had a unique characteristic about them. one moved like it was alive, one was hot as a damn volcano and the other one was just too damn annoying to figure out. eventually she regained the upper hand and well, yea next thing ya know I'm here." copper said briefly explaining to them.
When it came for jolly to explain his fight and how he ended up out of the battle they all realized the three of them had very tough opponents and each of them thought about if they would have fought one another opponent how would they fare and if they would still be in the same predicament.
the floor vibrated around them for a second as three white chairs with thick soft cushions came out the floor and a jumbo transparent screen appeared in front of them. they all took a seat and began watching the remaining participants. the jumbo screen had splits of 3 levy,calvus and vora could be seen running from the ring headed to the next safety zone.
the fourth ring was moving fast forcing them to rush ahead. calvus was the first to arrive in the safe zone. the area had a huge water geyser as the landscape he was in was rocky but also had a forest surrounding it that had a long river leading to a waterfall.
calvus kneeled down and touched the ground. a blue light stretched out in a circular radius and soon he stood up looking two different ways. "their almost here." he thought to himself while jumping up landing on the bank of the waterfall.
now he was in position to look down at the area below. it wasn't long until he saw Levy and vora come out of the Forrest from two different sides.
hmph, I wouldn't expect nothing less from you my lady. and I from you vora." Levy said responding to vora's words. they both looked up at calvus who was standing on the edge of the waterfall bank with his arms folded across his chest.
"how about you two fight and the winner will fight me,I promise not to intervene in any way." calvus spoke seeing he had their attention.
Levy and vora both looked at each other and began laughing historically while calvus looked at them with a puzzled look.
"why, so you can sit there and rest up while we continue to exert our energy. vora said looking back at him with glowing eyes. she had returned to her human form.
"well I guess we can all fight each other at once." calvus responded.
Levy and vora looked at each other again and then back at calvus with a smile. Their bodies began to grow and change. aura's flashed and the ground shook slightly as they entered into their beast forms.
"Damn,I do have a big mouth at times. maybe I should have hid and concealed my presence to let them fight each other because this may be too much." calvus thought while getting in a fighting stance.
Levy jumped high in the air twisting while swinging her claws. white flames in the shape of claws flew out while purple balls of energy emerged behind calvus. the energy exploded making calvus move forward only just a little bit enough to catch him off guard while the white flames came forward.
unfortunately their plan didn't work as calvus disappeared before the white flames touched him and reappeared to levy's left side swinging his hammer.
"you guys aren't pulling punches then I won't either." calvus yells bashing the hammer into levy's side. he made a solid hit, at least he thought until his hammer was stopped by a red flame that protected Levy from the attack.
Levy growled while swinging her claws hitting calvus in his side and then kicked him in his chest sending him flying back. an explosion occurred behind him as he flew back. vora attempted to knock him back towards Levy but calvus disappeared again mid air.
he reappeared next to vora pushing an open palm into her back. vora barely moved out the way as she felt the strike coming and threw an orb at him while rushing forward. it exploded on contact and when the smoke cleared calvus was gone again reappearing throwing a fist at levy when his hand was grabbed.
"if you think your little disappearing act will keep working then you're mistaken." she said with a growl.
Calvus smiled as an afterimage of himself flickered on levy's right side but she then felt a punch on her left which almost knocked her to the ground. she had a strong grip on calvus wrist and became confused while being hit from her left when she clearly saw him in front of her. this made her let go of his arm and try attacking to her right.
gathering herself she could see calvus standing with flicking images of himself.
"he has some type of cloning ability Levy. it seems they can hurt us as well but I'm not sure if it's to the extent that the original can. " vora called out while landing at levy's side.
"hmph most people I face always assume that my ability relies on clones which is totally wrong, but I can understand their confusion." calvus thought with a smile.
calvus ability was more like a ghost projection of himself that flickered going invisible on his commands. however they could not harm anyone per say. calvus could swap with any of his projections while leaving another in his original place that quickly faded making it seem like he disappeared or moved very fast. he also had the choice to send parts of his real body to any clone.
the last attack on Levy was an example. if Calvus is being touched or hit his afterimages are much harder to control and release. when Levy had calvus arm he created two projections after Levy decided to speak instead of capitalizing by hindering him helpless for those few seconds. those few seconds was all he needed to focus and push his afterimage projections out. one flickered on levy's right side which caught her attention for a second while the other came at her left side.
with Levy holding on to his arm he could transport the rest of his body to another in which he did on levy's left side throwing a strong punch. the arm Levy had a grip on was still in her hand even after calvus left. for a second she could see the image of calvus she had a grasp on flickering about to disappear but if she would have looked closely the arm she was holding was not flickering and remained solid. when she saw calvus was flickering and also saw him on her right side she thought he was reappearing to her right and decided to let go and attacking the right image of calvus.
