Sir Huges arrived at the city in thirty minutes even though the distance from where he started was over an hour away.
Sir Hughes was a big man with a great speed.
He jumped over the city gates arriving in a swarm of enemies all over the place, multiple lower banes crawling on many buildings and homes entering through windows while goblins,orcs, and trolls were seen throughout the street.
Awakened souls were fighting left and right with their summons by their side performing all kinds of attacks.
Sir Hughes bolted forward as a huge long broad sword and shield appeared in his hands.
he bashed a goblin with his shield breaking its bones instantly killing it on the spot while he swung his great sword to the right slicing four more of them in half by the waist.
uuuuraaaaaa! he yells as he jumps up throwing his shield at the head of a troll, the shield turned like a frisbee as eight inch spikes ejected out the edges of the shield slamming into the trolls face. he then came down with four mighty strikes severing the troll arms, legs torso and head with a fast precise motion.
he stretched out his arm as his shield returned to him like some type of boomerang. The shield was the same color of his armour. silver gold and red with an engraving of an elephant with six tusks.
Heeeeelp us! The sound of two women crying for help entered into his ears.
Sir Hughes kneeled quickly touching the ground as a blue light crawled across the ground.
"seven on the top floor" he mumbles to himself while dashing forward with his shoulder crashing through the door of a house. once inside he crouched like he was doing a squat and jumped holding out his shield in front of him breaking through two floors landing in front of seven lower banes who had killed three men and was currently ripping the flesh from their bones like a pack of wild hyenas.
Two women were in the corner of the room too afraid to move scared shitless.
shoooooo! one horizontal strike around the room was all it took as the lower banes meal was cut short. body parts flew and green and yellow blood became plastered all over.
"follow me now." Sir Hughes calmly says to the two women who instantly ran and grabbed onto his waist in a panic.
he gently pushed them off, he understood they were scared, but he couldn't have them hanging all over him. "calm down and listen, follow me and I'll get you two to safety.
They both nodded and trailed behind him as he went down stairs.
"calvus where are you."
"Dad, I'm on the south end of the city heading towards the bunker."
"I'm on the east side not too far away from the city head's mansion. who is with you."
"nurse heart and a few others, we are trying to get the wounded to a safe place so she can tend to them."
Just then three men were seen slaughtering two goblins and four lower banes as sir Hughes and the two women exited the home.
"you three, calvus I'm sending some more people your way" sir Hughes says while calling out to the three men.
"take these two to the bunker on the south side."
"sir Hughes." one of them men called out upon hearing his masculine voice behind them.
they ran up to him asking tons of questions in which he had to set them straight by telling them to focus on the battle and that it didn't matter what these creatures were and how they got here. the only thing that matters is to fight for their lives.
the three men agreed and sir Hughes once again told them to take the two women to safety.
afterwards sir Hughes was back on the hunt following the sound of battle while using his aura to search throughout areas for people to help and enemies to kill.
He dived into several more battles helping his people and if the opportunity presented itself, he would have the ones who couldn't fight anymore be taken to safety.
Sir Hughes was in the middle of taking down two trolls that had completely destroyed multiple buildings when his link crystal started to vibrate and glow blue, after drilling his sword into the belly of the first one and jumping up punching the second one in the face cracking it's large jaws sir Hughes picked up the call.
"we have arrived on my word" spade informs him.
"The gates should be open already I sent two men there in wait of your arrival."
"listen, I don't fully understand what you and your people are,but I understand you can turn into beasts. that is something I'm not sure is a good thing at the moment so fight as you are now if possible."
"understood." spade responded as the link ended.
sir Hughes was sure the people left in the city would see them as threats as well if more unknown beasts were to appear and didn't want unnecessary bloodshed.
Spade and the few hundred Mongrels entered through the gates.
"are you the people who have come to help us in sir Hughes word." a big chested man with green spiky hair says approaching them.
"yes, but we have many injured people as well." Bison says to him.
"Tank." the man called out to a young overweighted teen boy.
"He will lead the wounded to a place they will be safe, but I ask a few of your men to accompany him to make sure they make it there."
"I agree." Bison responded thankfully.
Once they were in spade took lead while informing his people not to use their beast forms.
"let's move, my lady, stay near me and Bison at all times." he says to princess Levy in which she nodded while taking out a spear with a double blade at one end.
many buildings were on fire and collapsing all over.
The mongrels joined the battle helping the people of village city.
Many people they came across didn't bother to ask who they were because they were helping them with the task at hand and it didn't matter at the moment.
The mongrels themselves were in awe somewhat looking at multiple beasts being controlled by the village people.
"so this is what sir Huges was talking about." Bison says while throwing one of his short single hand held battle axes puncturing a lower banes skull.
He ran with speed as he plowed into a number of lower banes swinging his axes wildly with force.
Spade danced smoothly with a thin sword stabbing, slicing and cutting each and every bane or goblin that were within his reach. once he was done with a small area he would open two portals warping Levy and bison with him into another section that he could see was being attacked.
Levy followed spades movement as she protected his back side. her arm speed was nothing to laugh at as it seemed one strike turned into many while jabbing and thrusting her spear forward. her feet became surrounded by white flames as she performed a somersault over a orc kicking him in the back of the head and once her foot made contact with it the fire jumped of her foot as if it was alive, growing and setting the orcs head ablaze.
it yelled and screamed in agony as spade finished it off by transporting it a couple feet above him while he held his sword straight up.
Pschhhh! it flopped and landed on his sword as spade dumped it to the side.
Levy performed backflips while digging her spear in the ground twisting kicking while holding on to the spear like she was twirling around on a stripper pole.
bang ! bang ! bang ! her kicks sounded off as they connected with several lower banes and goblins. one lower bane swung it's tail attempting to knock her down when an axe flew inches away from levy's twirling figure lodging into its shoulder.
Levy acrobatically flipped forward and using her momentum snatched her spear out the ground while generating white flames from her fingers that surfed to the tip of the spear as she flipped into the side of the lower bane with the axe stuck in its shoulder.
A small white flame shot out entering the open wound the axe made. within seconds the Banes body started to turn red and puff up. Boom! guts bones tissue and scaly skin blew everywhere as the Bane exploded.
An orc charged in through the explosion of guts catching Levy off guard as she landed when a bird like beast with bladed sharp wings that looked like steel swooped down cutting the orc across its chest. the orc swung it's club wildly trying to hit the bird beast out the air as it continued it's assault.
Within seconds the orc was on his knees rippled with deep cuts. the bird launched again while screeching opening it's mouth as hundreds of small needles shot out stabbing into its head and face.
Once it crashed to the ground the bird flew up high landing beside a young white muscular boy with a charming handsome face and curly green airfro that stood at the top of a building. Levy and the boy locked eyes as he gave her a nod with a smile before he disappeared.
"oh you show off another boy says that looked to be identical to the other as he walked back further upon the roof out of sight."
"I don't know what you're talking about." he says while casually walking with his hands behind his head.
"whatever steel, you see a good looking girl and always go into show off mode."
"well I can't help I'm a ladies man copper and besides she needed a little help."
"whatever you say." copper says to steel while rolling his eyes.
they both jumped off the roof top on the other side. they were only a street over from spade and his company.
"look out." copper shouts while his arm morphed into a sharp metallic brown color blade.
pschhhh!
a goblin came rushing from behind the house next to where they jumped off the roof pulling back a small dagger and barring it's teeth at steel once his back was turned.
seeing this, the teen boy named copper activated his ability to transform his arm into a blade while moving to the side and stabbing it in its chest.
it screamed briefly before it died.
"good eyes my little brother." steel says in a playful and uncaring manner.
"we are the same age you dick,and pay attention we are at war ya buffoon." copper shouts.
"technically we are the same age but I'm a whole minute and forty two seconds older, and come on lighten up whatever these creatures are they aren't that strong." he says while kicking the dead goblin.
copper shook his head with an irritated look.
"come on we gotta find mom and dad it's almost daybreak." copper says seeing the first sign of light in the sky.
copper and steel were twins with interesting, but powerful abilities. they both were in shape with toned and well maintained muscles with a curly green fro. unlike many other twins there was a major difference with there appearance. copper was smaller in size and shorter than steel by at least a couple of feet which made it very easy to tell them apart.
Boom! Bang! Boom!
"Mastiff, on your left side a thin figure with dark ruffy hair shouts."
"mmmhmmmmm" a very husky and short bulky man with a grey beard and bald head says. Boom! Bang! Boom 💥 Boom !
The short stalky man was Mastiff, his forearms currently looked like the neck of a volcano with glowing orange lava-like energy.
"dot thu titches " mastiff was a mute, he didn't talk and just made noises. at least that's what it sounded like whenever he did try to talk.
He was also a rare type of mongrel, most mongrels took on forms of just animal like beasts, but in some cases a different kind would be born and he was on of those special cases being able to transform into a bear type beast mixed with a volcanic golem.
Mastiff fired multiple lava blasts at four orcs managing to hit only one. his blasts weren't as fast which made them easy to dodge at a certain distance but once he got close enough his lava blasts were very dangerous.
The slim dark haired man who was flash darted around traveling at a great speed punching and kicking the hell out of the orcs. his attacks weren't that strong, but they were overwhelming especially with his speed making his enemies frustrated when It came to catching or hitting him.
