Mai Sakaguchi POV:
"Whoaa!" I yelled out loud as I noticed myself falling from a distance.
"Hmph!" I stopped my breath as I readied myself for the impact, "Voila!" And smoothly landed.
The next instant the crashing sound of the carriage entered my ears while I heard a grunt from Elijah too.
"Hmm, quite the strength for your petite body," I said with a mocking smirk.
"Quite the landing for a spoiled brat," He tried teasing me too as he let down the wagon on the ground.
"Why did you go out of your way to not let it be demolished?" I asked with certain curiosity.
"Is that even a thing you should ask me for? It is a matter of course that I would not let my messiah go through pathetic moments." He's been saying that a lot since I began talking to him.
"Um, you keep saying things like, 'my messiah', or, "my savior"... Is something up with you?"
