Krack, krack.
I heard the cracks of a carriage's wheels.
I slowly creaked my eyes open.
The hood of the wagon is over me, "How did we get a carriage?"
"Oh, you're awake, Elias." Mai's voice entered my ears.
"Uh, yeah." I nodded as I sat up. My mouth was dry as heck and my lips were all chapped, I was also soaked in sweat.
"Where are we right now?" I asked, "And how long was I out for?"
"We're traveling back to the city of Raly… Where we first began this journey."
"I see," I stared at the platform I was resting on, Mai was sitting further in the front while Elijah was driving the carriage.
Who would've thought that of all people… Elijah would be one to lend us a hand in this time of crisis.
"It is fine, Mai." I said in a weak voice, "There's no need to explain everything to me now…"
"Huh… you mean…" She brought her hands near her lips.
"Yes… I remember everything."
"…?" She hugged me.
