I grab my duffle bag from the edge of my room and race to the back door. The south border of the pack is more weakly patrolled than the north and west so it's the best way to go.
I make it on foot into the thick forest and manage to avoid some warriors wandering the woods. How I manage to avoid them from noticing me I have no idea. As I am creeping around a group of warriors that are near the border, a twig snaps under my shoe, so typical. Fuck.
The group of warriors turning in my direction start after me. Luckily I am good on my feet and dart in and out of the trees avoiding them. As the border comes into sight, I speed up but as I turn to look at my chasers and see they are on the ground with their necks bared. Oh, fuck a duck. Alpha Ryder is here.
"Kiari!" and Alpha's roar is hard to not submit to. I find myself slowing to a stop and turning around. I see Alpha Ryder heading in my direction. the closer he gets the more willed I am to get up. Just as he is a few steps away from me, I break out of the trance and get up, turn around and run with all my might.
"Get back here!'' The command is powerful but I easily over-power it. I cross the border.
"I, Kiari Alex, hereby denounce myself from Throne Pack!" I yell at the alpha and warriors. I was finally free. And it was a weird feeling. My mind was now quiet and empty. I had cut ties with the pack and so the mind link with the pack was also gone. Oh well
" We will see how long you will last out there," Alpha Ryder said with the angriest expression.
Good. I am finally free. I shifted into my navy and silver wolf, secured my duffle bag around my belly and sprinted off.

I have been roaming in no man's territory for about 2 days and haven't seemed to have found any pack. It seems that Throne Pack was more isolated than I thought. I notice a stream and feel my thirst creeping back up. I shift back and sit by the stream. I scoop many handfuls of water into my mouth before washing my face.
I actually stink, and I don't even smell like a rogue. Sadness. I reach into my duffle bag and take out the deer meat that I had left to dry. Poor Bambi. It tasted a bit like beef jerky that I had found in the kitchen once. It was good enough.
After having a bit of a rest, I hear a twig snap. I scan the area and see no one but I can smell filth - rogue.
I shift quickly and scan the area again, my sight enhanced. I spot a pair of yellow glowing eyes in the distance. As we lock eyes I see the body charging at me. What did I do to him?
I decide to run, leaving my duffle bag by the stream. I might come back, I hope. I may be a fast sprinter but this wolf is fast. As he gains on me I get a weird feeling. I hope I haven't entered another pack land, or else I am screwed.
A group of wolves seems to have joined us but it's not rogues. It seems to be an alpha and his warriors. I am fucked. I turn and see that the alpha has left the other rogue to his 3 warriors and is chasing me. Great. I dash between the trees and somehow manage to trip up on a tree root. I'm dead.
As I stumble to the ground, the alpha circles me emitting a powerful aura. The nearest pack to Throne is supposed to be...no that's on the north side...I'm on the south...the closest pack is...shit. Lucid Pack. I am being circled by Alpha Orion Alexander. Aka. The Savage Alpha. The one that has no mercy towards rogues.
I am too busy thinking of how I'm too young to die to notice that he has stopped circling me. I start to back away, my head bowed and belly low. However, I don't think he liked that. He charges at me and swiftly knocks me by poking his paw in my neck. Shit, he knows acupuncture points.

I am awake and something is not right. If I recall last night's events, I should be in a damp dark cell being tortured and suffering.
Gosh, what's wrong with me, I am probably not in the Lucid Pack, it was not Alpha Alexander I met last night...right? Nah it probably was and this could be some kind of simulation he puts his prisoners in. Make them feel welcome then torture them...shit I am overthinking here.
I sit up and look around. I am in a small bedroom far more spacious than my previous accommodations. Wait...even if I didn't meet Alpha Alexander and it's a different alpha, I shouldn't be in what looks like a guest bedroom. I should still be in a cell. I stand up, shaking the navy rug off me and arranging it neatly back on the large bed.
I scan the room and see a door that supposedly leads to the bathroom. I enter and it is much better than what I am used to. It contained a shower and bath lined up near the toilet. I head to the sink to look in the mirror and I look awful. I wash my face with the cleanser in the small cupboard and go to the room door. As I put my hand on the handle, I hear footsteps close by. I dash back to the bed faster than I thought because I almost fell.
