"Levantes!"
I looked towards my right to see Pandora running towards me with the rest of the others walking behind her.
Well this just gave me some Deja Vu.
Pandora ran towards me then hugged me, almost making me fall backwards.
"I thought you were gonna lose." Pandora said as if she was crying.
"Well, well ,well, my brother wins a round then gets a hug from his admirer, well isn't this looking familiar." Lilith said as Pandora jumped off of me and looked down blushing.
"Lilith, shut up. Where's Themis, Kyron and Apophis?"
"You said that to me last time! Oh they're gone somewhere to eat or something."
"It's not even the tournament and it's this tense."
"Well obviously, considering who's coming this year."
"That's true."
"I'll go full out then."
"NO DON'T!"
"Why Pandora?"
"Oh yeah, that day I really went full out, ended up beating the whole thing."
"You ended up famous as well."
"Well obviously Lilith, Levantes was nine and he completed all 12,000 levels in that escape room on his own on under an hour. We were struggling with the first ten levels while he was having lunch."
"Well obviously we were struggling, that place can only be completed by people with high IQs, more specifically at least 300 or over, only a few people completed it."
"300! What the heck's your IQ now?"
"I don't know Arthur, probably roughly in the million."
"MILLIONS!"
"Who were the other people who completed that place?"
"I don't know just saw it on the internet, probably like six at most."
"Laertes how are you so smart?"
"I just am Arthur."
"This tournament will be a breeze then for you."
"You're probably right Pandora."
"Why did you do that though?"
"Because Lilith she was dragging me down, she would've made a nice pawn but she's too weak."
"Um...Excuse me Levantes...can I talk to you a question in private?"
"No."
"WHAT?! WHY?!"
"Because I don't want to so leave me alone."
"But I didn't even-"
"Please leave."
The girl left us instantly, I saw a few tears drop on the floor as she ran off.
"Damn Laertes, a girl like that was gonna ask you out." Arthur then said as he watched the girl run off.
"Yeah Laertes, you could've at least heard her out." Cynthia said supporting her boyfriend.
"I couldn't care less about her."
"Whats your opinion Pandora?" Lilith said putting Pandora on the spot.
Everyone then looked at Pandora as her face became red.
"Well I-I-I think that you could've at least heard her out."
"What?" Iris then said as she tilted her head in confusion.
"Don't you mean that Laertes did a good job?"
"I think he should've at least heard her out Cynthia."
Oh shit. We need to do something now. [Arthur's thoughts]
"Really? Then I'll get that girl back and I think Laertes should apologise to her."
"What? Don't do that Cynthia."
"You're gonna need a girlfriend soon and she might be the only one brave enough to ask you out so you should at least consider her feelings."
"Okay then, fine."
Everyone then looked at Pandora as if they we're waiting for an answer but Pandora siad nothing nor did she show any negative emotions towards Cynthia's point.
"Looks like I'll go get her then." Cynthia said awkwardly.
Why isn't she doing anything? [Cynthia's thoughts]
We all watched as Cynthia went to get the girl I previously regected.
"Laertes what's your relationship with Pandora?"
You're putting it out there then.
"I think she's a good friend."
Pandora's face seemed to become bittersweet.
"But she would be my first choice for a girlfriend."
"WHAT!!" Arthur, Lilith and Iris shouted.
Pandora then blushed so hard it was visible from the sun.
"Guys I'm here with-"
"CYNTHIA TAKE HER BACK WE HAVE A BIGGER MATTER ON OUR HANDS!"
"WAIT, WHAT HAPPENED?!"
"I just said that Pandora would be my first choice for a girlfriend."
Cynthia then fainted from the news of a somewhat confession. The remaining conscious people (Arthur,Lilith and Iris) then looked at Pandora for an answer.
"Guys we've been looking for you guys everywhere."
"NOT THE TIME APOPHIS!"
"What did I do?" Apophis asked Themis but Themis just shrugged.
Pandora then looked at me and I looked back.
"I'm gonna go to eat now, I'm hungry." I said as I walked off in the distance searching for the cafeteria.
I looked back to see everyone looking at me, I then looked at Pandora who was looking down at the floor.
I have no time for this right now, I'll eat then go back. With the 4,650 students in the third stage alone that's 2,325 teams and including the second stage that's 3,100 students or 1,550 teams together that's 3,875 teams so there's going to be about 123 rounds and in four academic weeks that's 6.15 rounds every day because only two teams qualify for the real tournament, the Inter-Academy Tournament is the one that really matters to the school, so if seven rounds happen everyday with Wednesday as rest that will be 112 rounds for four months so I think the school will stay with the no rest thing. My next match will be in about more than 20 days time so in that time I can rest because things get intense after the first section of the tournament because then it's almost back to back rounds, so I guess I'll eat then.
"What will you be having Prince Levantes?"
"The regular."
"Okay then."
I found a table with no one on it so I went and sat in the seat of the table but to my surprise the table was in the middle of a mind field for me, social gatherings are the worst for me when I'm alone, not only are there students who are having fun with their friends but are also having dates with their boyfriend or girlfriend, not that I envy them but I can read their minds and hear everything that comes out of their' mouths and with my brain being able to process millions of things at a time such as coding an advanced game and painting a complex picture would be light work for me. Usually in these situations I will move tables or leave the restaurant but today is different. One: I need to congratulate myself for advancing to the next round, two: This is my favorite restaurant, three: The other tables are dirty and this table that I am sitting at is so clean I can't see any forms of micro organisms even with my 'Microscopic Sight' and four: This table has a nice view of the academy, the menu, the counter and the door so I can observe who comes in and out of the restaurant subconsciously while I eat my food and watch videos on my phone with earbuds, especially today's circumstance I will need to drain the soundwaves from entering my ear using 'Sound Manipulation' this does not however limit my reactions because I still have my eyesight and my mana detection, I can sense that the others are about 500m away from me and at the speed they're walking I can finish my meal, however if they start running or walk any past 3% faster I will not be able to finish my meal peacefully, instead if I don't want them near me I can avoid them by finishing my meal somewhere else but I don't want this so I would finish my meal of the whole menu thrice in a matter of femptoseconds.
Ah shit! They have accelerated their walking speed by 9%.
For normal people this would be a blessing from the lord but for people like me, introverts, I have three options: face my fate, avoid my fate, don't care about my fate (either one). I looked around the restaurant waiting for my meal as I spotted something, something that will benefit me as an introvert.
"Your meal my liege."
I quickly grabbed my meals with my telekinesis as I watched videos on my phone with clairvoyance and devoured my food with my mouth. After a few seconds I was finished until I felt my heartbeat increase significantly.
They're here.
I quickly disintegrated my food while teleporting to the school amusement park.
That was close also considering what happened I don't want to get too close with them straight after what I said.
I cannot stand awkward situations, they're things the heart cannot handle. People like me tend to avoid any type of socialising but when this doesn't happen bad things tend to occur, such as awkward situations. Awkward situations make you feel that death is the only solution or you turn to your religion asking your god for help, yes these situations have these effects, for me I avoid these situations as a top priority, even if I'm eating cake or it's my wedding I will avoid these situations to the limit of my boundless abilities. I then rode a few roller coasters which were by far slow even of they go at a maximum of 23C they are still slow for someone like me so I tired the roller coasters which go at speeds of minimum of 126CH.
Slow. Slow. So slow. All roller coasters were so slow.
I then left the amusement park in disappointment. As I was leaving I heard familiar footsteps.
Ah shit.
"Levantes?"
"Hi Pandora." I said with my usual emotionless face.
"Where's the others?" I asked.
"I left them at a restaurant and came to look for you."
"I just came out of this amusement park but all the rides are so slow."
"Oh, I know a place where even you will feel scared."
"Where?"
"The Cosmic roller coaster."
"Oh yeah, that one."
"Yeah, let's go it'll be fun."
"Can you handle it?"
"Of course I can."
"Okay then let's go."
I then summoned Longwang from the Student Council House and told him to take us to the Cosmic Park. The Cosmic Park was made by Pandora's father, King Lumiere Silva, a human vasilias who rules over the Elf Kingdom. The amusement park was made for those who were strong and needed fun in their lives. The roller coasters there reach an average of 400DU/h making them the fastest non living thing in our world. Most interstellar vehicles warp space and time by creating artificial wormholes but these roller coasters don't warp space and have a special spell on them which makes sure they don't break into atoms or create a black hole which would swallow anything that is mad eof particles, luckily for me I strengthened my particle bonds so they don't rip apart from such weak gravitational forces.
"We are here my master."
"Okay then Longwang go back to your house."
Longwang then disappeared and left me with Pandora, alone.
"Come let's go."
We then flew down to the platform which held the biggest amusement park known to our existence. The amusement park had many guards and workers but they had a small amount of customers compared to other normal amusement parks.
"Let's go on all of them."
"How are you so enthusiastic?"
"Levantes, we've known each other for more than 75 million galactic years, I'm sure you know by now how much of an enthusiastic person I am."
That's true, after everything that has happened to her she still has a smile on her face 90% of the time.
"That's true."
"Anyways let's go from bottom to top then."
We walked around the amusement park and tried any rides and bankrupted a lot of arcades.
"That was the best twenty minutes of my life."
"Really?"
"It's a figure of speech Levantes and I'm sure you had fun."
"I did have fun bankrupting the arcades."
"They looked way too easy for you."
"They were."
I then looked around the amusement park and while I did I noticed some people looking at us and talking.
"From other people's perspective we look like we're dating."
"W-W-WHAT!"
"It's true."
"Then let's make it one then." Pandora said quietly to herself.
"What was that?"
"I just said we should ignore them and have fun!"
I obviously heard but I didn't want it to get awkward.
As Pandora walked around the amusement park I noticed something lurking in the shadows.
"Pandora, there's someone on your right who's watching us." I wispered
"You could've said your right."
"I did say that- Bigger picture Pandora."
"Oh sorry, let's go see what they want then."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, one this is my father's place and two we're strong enough to take them on."
"Your father made this place for your tenth birthday."
"Yeah, after your sixteenth birthdays don't matter."
"For me they didn't matter after my tenth."
"Anyways let's go to the person who's peering at us."
We walked towards where I saw the suspicious person looking at us. We searched for about five minutes until a person approched us.
