In a mysterious dimension filled with great wonders and unimaginable creatures lies Elsarro. A dimension where logic is skewed and the impossible is made possible. It is a place that warps your perception of reality. Within this dimension, some great creatures control this land. But none come close to the Siverine. A powerful being respected by all.
The Siverine is a creature of great power, known for its extreme nature. It is said that they can control the minds of others and make them do their bidding. It is also said that it can drive people mad with just a glance. But these are merely rumours spread by the enemy to give a wrong impression of the greatest race closest to that of ether. In truth, the Siverine are simply powerful creatures with a peaceful nature. They have their fair share of enemies generated by jealousy and hatred among other races, but they always remain victorious.
The Siverine has always been a powerful race, but they were not always the dominant force in Elsarro. Before ether conquered the land, there was always darkness. Darkness that reigned over all with no mercy to spare. But the Siverine fought tooth and nail to take control of Elsarro. Not because they wanted a be a domineering force over the lands, but because they wanted to rid the darkness and live for peace. They used their power to push back the darkness and liberate the creatures living under its rule.
After the darkness was pushed back, the Siverine took control of Elsarro and established order. However, it wasn't long until the lands were divided into many domains. Greed took the hearts of all creatures, big and small. This was no exception for the Siverine with their own kind. They simply wanted more as individuals. So they started to fight each other for dominance.
This internal conflict went on for many years until one day, a powerful Siverine by the name of Qorzax rose to power. He was different from the rest. He didn't seek power for himself but for the betterment of all Siverine. Praise was given to him from all corners of Elsarro. He was seen as a saviour and a beacon of hope.
However, the Siverine was still a divided people with factions present within their own domains. Qorzax knew that the only way to unify the Siverine was to vanquish all other factions and establish an empire. There are still other factions to this day, but most have been quelled by Qorzax's empire.
The Qorzax Empire is a force to be reckoned with. With their powerful magic and formidable army, they have conquered most of Elsarro. But there are still some domains that remain free. The Qorzax Empire, although powerful, cannot touch every corner of Elsarro, and the sentient creatures roaming this dimension knew that. So the rise of hidden factions remained in the dark, away from prying eyes. But even the hidden factions cannot hope to match the might of the Qorzax empire. So they bide their time, waiting for the right opportunity to strike. And when that time comes, they will be ready to take down the empire and claim Elsarro as their own.
An angry man with a scrunched face, pointed ears reaching outward, and black eyes with red irises glared at the young woman in front of him. His nails were sharpened into points, and his formal attire was all black. He was the very definition of anger and power. Anger and power that was exercised on his disobedient daughter.
"Lilium, what were you thinking going out like that?! You could've been killed!"
"I'm sorry, father. I didn't mean to worry you."
"You're lucky that I found you. If anything happened to you, your mother would never forgive me."
"I know... I'm sorry."
Lilium sat at the table with her head bowed in shame. She knew that she had messed up this time. She had been caught by her father after sneaking out of the domain, a secretive place hidden from the Qorzax empire.
"I don't care if you're sorry. You're not going anywhere near that place again, you hear me?"
"Yes, father."
Lilium stood sunken and exhausted from the scolding. She had been caught many times before, but this was the first time she was delivered back home by her father's hands.
'Was it worth it?' she thought to herself. 'Was it worth the risk? Of course, it was!'
The thrill of adventure was always worth the danger to Lilium. Not to mention being cooped up in an isolated place like her father's faction takes a toll on her mental health! That's how she justified herself, at least.
"Lilium!"
Lilium was snapped out of her thoughts by her father's voice.
"What is it?" she asked.
"You're the pride of the family, so put your back straight and go to your room!"
Lilium did as ordered and trudged up the stairs to her room. When she got there, she slammed the door shut and threw herself on the bed.
'This is ridiculous,' she thought. 'I'm not a child. I'm a grown woman. So why can't I do what I want?'
Lilium was sick and tired of being cooped up. She was sick of her father's rules and regulations. She was done with this place. It was time for her to leave and find her own calling. She screamed into her pillow in frustration and pounded her fists on the bed.
"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!"
The following day, Lilium walked out of her room and down the stairs with a withering hope of leaving this place. Instead, a familiar figure was waiting for her at the bottom of the stairs.
"Father, I-"
"I don't want to hear it, Lilium. I have a lot of work today, so I'll leave Dominus with you."
Dominus, a young warrior within the faction, was Lilium's babysitter, so to speak. He was tasked with keeping an eye on her and ensuring she didn't do anything stupid.
"I don't need a babysitter," she muttered.
"I know you don't, but I can't have you running around causing havoc. So Dominus will be keeping an eye on you."
"Fine."
Lilium was defeated. There was no point in arguing with her father; she was never going to win.
"Now, I have to go. Dominus, make sure she doesn't leave the house."
"Yes, sir."
And with that, her father left the house, leaving Lilium with Dominus.
"So, what are we going to do today?" she asked him.
"That's not for me to decide, miss. You're the one who's supposed to be entertained."
"Fine. Then I'm going for a walk."
"Your father said you cannot step foot outside, so I cannot allow that. Maybe we can play a game inside?"
"No, I don't want to play any games. I'm not a child anymore!"
Lilium was getting frustrated. She always had a temper, which she assumed was inherited by her father.
"I understand you're not a child, but your father's orders are clear. You're not to leave the house."
"And what if I do?"
"Then I'll have to stop you."
"You can't stop me, Dominus. I'm stronger than-"
Before she could finish her sentence, Dominus released his aura, stopping Lilium in her tracks.
"As I said, miss. I'll have to stop you."
Lilium was seething with anger, but she knew there was no point in fighting Dominus. She had no chance of winning.
"Fine," she muttered. "But I'm going to my room."
"That's fine, miss. I'll be right here if you need me."
Lilium fled back up the stairs into her moderately sized room. It was a far cry from the luxurious rooms in her father's faction, but it was still a comfortable place to stay. She plopped down on her bed and reminisced about her interactions with that strange man she had met the day prior. She wondered what he was doing right now and what adventures he might be having. Finally, she sighed and laid down on her bed, staring at the ceiling. The conundrum knocking around her head was how she would keep her busy.
'A soul hosting itself in its own soul space... I've never heard of such a thing.' she thought.
The memory of her interaction with the strange man made her giggle uncontrollably.
"hehe~, I made a friend," she said to herself before a yawn escaped her mouth.
Dominus stood outside her room, ears perked to ensure he could hear the click of the window opening if she decided to leave. He often found himself in this situation, babysitting the faction leader's daughter. Did he dislike the fact that he was used for this purpose? No, not really. He actually enjoyed taking care of Lilium. She's a beautiful young woman and, in his eyes, deserved better than this. Maybe one day, he would find the courage to tell her how he felt, but that day was not today. After hearing Lilium's utterance on the other side of the door, something scratched his mind.
'Lilium made a friend?'
Lilium lay still on her bed, lost in thought. She was deep in concentration, trying to remember anything she could about the man she met yesterday. Suddenly, a voice intruded on her thoughts.
"Lilium?"
The voice was Dominus'.
"What is it, Dominus?" she asked, not taking her eyes off the ceiling.
"I just wanted to check on you. Make sure you're okay."
"I'm fi-, ouch! What the hell?!"
Dominus barged into the room to find Lilium clutching her head in pain.
"What's wrong?" he asked, worry etched into his voice.
"I don't know?!" She said, panicked. "What the hell is Sky doing?!"
